It might not be worth it anyway. don't Witchery familiars have a despawn/respawn mechanic? I doubt that they would keep any infusions for long if they do.

A familiar can be dismissed by interacting with it (right-clicking) while sneaking (shift held) when it is sitting. A familiar will automatically be dismissed if it or the bound witch dies.
Yep, dismissing a familiar would undo any infusions placed on it.
To fully work this out, witchery would need to be open source, so someone could compare how familiar data is stored to how creature infusion data is stored.
Because who else would like to try and make a double familiar? (create a cat familiar, infuse it with the TH Familiar augment)
First, make sure you have the research for self infusion unlocked. It's the easiest mistake to make for anything thaumcraft. Next you should ask a server moderator, or read the server's FAQ, to determine if the server you play on has disabled player infusion.

It took him 7 months or more to release a fix for this mod that was gamebreaking (Hence it's removal from FTB packs).. some things still aren't ironed out.

How does one blacklist blocks from being animated into golems. I've added several indestructible blocks to my modpack for creating custom permanent structures but they can still be converted into golems. If there is no way to fix this, is there some sort of work around other than removing golem animation entirely using Modtweaker? The blocks have been added with CustomItems.
This mod has no config file, so there is no way to do so. However I might try the wand focus of warding, to see if that works to prevent golem animation powder from animating blocks

Hi! I guess I'm new here.
After looking at infused loyalty, My mind went to a pet ghast. After capturing one, I got all the materials and tried to start the infusion. It wouldn't start so I started to trouble shoot. I know that the infusion won't work on undead mobs or "simple minded" ones. Ghasts don't appear to be undead because the wither attacks them. I don't know about intelligence. I think it may not start because the ghast renders outside of the vat.
Can this be done or should I try some other creature?
(I know enough thaum to have unlocked kami and have completed several animal infusions already)
Not even sure it would work; infused loyalty gives mobs wolf-AI, from what I understand. A ghast flies, so it's a bit more complicated. And they are like... ghosts, aren't they?
Must say, absolutely great mod I love it (and don't want to leave 1.7.10 because of it and a few of my other staples).
I see a couple things though that I'm not seeing if there's any modern solutions to so I'm curious if anyone knows fixes for them? I'm using 1.1.19 ThaumicHorizons.
Seroconverter GUI crash; I saw an old patch note that this could be related to 3rd party aspects but theoretically fixed, yet I'm running into it. I have ThaumicTinkerer, Forbidden Magic, and Thaumic Exploration for other TC addons.
Fix for golem bell? I read somewhere it was fixed, and then I saw that it seems broken with Reliquary (which I'm running)?
I can probably live without cake golems (I'm running SoarTex and have that issue...ugh...maybe I'll figure it out at some point) but the seroconverter crash makes my dreams of bombing the world with splash vials....hard to attain LOL.
I also have the issue with the golem's bell crashing with reliquary, and it's really sad, reliquary is one of those mods I want to add because I feel it doesn't get the attention it deserves anymore.

Probably not, but if you have a fully upgraded warding focus, set to maximum size, it should not take long.
EDIT: be sure you have a beefy computer/server, just to be on the safe side.

Its on a friends server, and he thinks he has Java 7. I tested it singleplayer and it works.

They don't have a pursuit mode (meaning that when they are hit they won't fight back) which makes any ghast taming difficult at best.
I guess it makes sense that a ghast shouldn't be able to be tamed. Imagine the power if having a pack of 3 ghasts follow you and blow your foes up!
That ability should be primordial pearl level or at least a VERY expensive infusion.
On the other hand a controllable ghast mount would be SO much fun...
Set up a creative world to test it. Sometimes a stray pedestal might interfere with an infusion
