So, I tried too^5's plan for making the portal/rift... I didn't have quite as much cobblestone as The problem was that the suction completely overwhelmed my Harness (with Haste 3). Fortunately, I have Cyrano's Lootable Bodies, which did save my stuff, but that was a BIG explosion, taking out fences well beyond the range I'd expected. (Total loss for the apparatus, of course.) I didn't have quite as much cobblestone up as too^5 did, but this was sunk into a valley, so there was lots of dirt all around.
I may yet try again, but I'll probably take it to a Myst Age.
I did some CraftTweaker scripts for Mystical Agriculture. They fill in a couple of small gaps in MA, and also let you make or duplicate not only vanilla plants, but the blocks, plants and wood from Quark and Biomes O'Plenty. Also spawn eggs for most vanilla mobs! The scripts are here on Github.

I have no idea what you're trying to say you did. The rift is completely stable if you make it correctly. What does cobblestone have to do with it? All six of the blocks around the rift(stabilizer, transduser, and the transduction amplifers) are destroyed when it is created, you need 6 vortex attentuators to keep it stable placed further out to hit the node once they are destroyed.

I put a link to his message into my message above. tootootootootoo had a setup for doing the rift in a 7x7x7 cube, saying that extra blocks around it would help keep it stable. But when the rift forms, it starts off like a hungry node, and sucks everything into it including the unwary player. too^5 was talking about "spare attenuators and redstone blocks", but the pull was such that I was too busy trying to flee (and then dying) to replace anything! Possibly I just wasn't quick enough to flee the creation....

you are supposed to a ways away and fly in to replace things if it goes wrong.
The problen would seem to be getting out of range before the action starts. Hmm... I wonder if I could simply double up on the attenuators? They seem to have an 8-block range.... That's a lot of materials, though.

Oh, derp. I was expecting something to happen to the matrix the way it does for the infusion altar. Whoops.
Not an unreasonable thought, just happens not to be so. The advantage is you can take the matrix off and use the chamber as before.

Another bug, which I'm not sure if I've reported before: Cloning a modified creature seems to take only 4 Victus, not the various extra essentias claimed by the blood sample.
(And a good thing too, because the chamber tends to get jammed up with multiple essentias.)

Tried too^5's build again, with doubled attenuators -- no luck (and there went a stack of void metal and another stack of ethereal essence!). I didn't have the second attenuators at max range, though... perhaps third try will be the charm (later, though).

There is this mod that permit to infuse blocks with attributes without replacing the block in anyway. Thaumic Infusion I think. In a server I was in, I had infused the redstone and the attenuators with something that basically act as Warding. They couldn`t get destroyed by the vortex.
I seriously doubt anyone cares about that at this point, considering how long it's been and how much this mod needs an update.

You have to energize the node first, then you can place the amplifiers directly onto the energized node.
is node dimension creation functional yet?
No.

The Pocket Plane biome needs to be either removed entirely, or properly implemented, WITH A CONFIG. Has anyone heard anything from the dev recently?

If you'd have read the last page of comments you'd know that the dev currently has real-life issues and therefor doesn't have time for modding...

...redstone.
really, people?
OK, I'm pretty sure I got this right, but nothing seems to be happening.
You set up a curative vat, slap the enhanced (improved?/modified?) runic matrix on it, and hit it with a wand to activate it right?
it doesn't form a new structure or need activation. Just hook up essentia feeds and place pedestals, you're good to go.
For the essentia feed, I suggest rigging a reservoir fed by a triple-bellowed buffer, with a jar feeding into that so you
can load it with phials.

This is a really great add-on, however, may I suggest you incorporate a config file into the next release.
For instance, the ability to change the BIOM ID for this mods bioms.
Edit: Oops my apologies, looks like other people have reported this too.
