It seems that the Disintegration focus can no longer be attached to a wand. I have tried with wands from TC itself and three different addons. It simply does not appear in the radial wheel. I have tried with it in a Bottomless Pouch (Thaumic Tinkerer) and just in the normal inventory.
May I ask what mods are in your pack? Thaumcraft wise? I'm always looking for more addons. (I see new foci thats all )
Ok so further testing revealed that if you have an Excavation Focus in your inventory or in a Focus Pouch (of any kind) you will not be able to select the Liquefaction Focus. Dropping the Excavation focus allows selecting the Liquefaction focus as normal. If the Excav. Focus is on the wand, then the Liq. Focus shows up. It seems only one can be on the wheel at one time, does not matter how many you actually have.
EDIT: Whichever was added to your inventory SECOND has priority, it seems. There is a very strange conflict going on here.
Sorry for the triple post, but I just realized what must be happening. The Liquefaction Focus must still count as an Excavation Focus somehow, and you can't see two Foci that are the exact same on the wheel at the same time.

As a workaround for this until it is fixed. Does using the focal manipulator on one of them allow you to have both of them in the wheel?

Leadership isn't about shooting people and stabbing things, its about telling other people to shoot people and stab things.

That SHOULD work. I haven't tested it yet. I've only tested the basic Foci. Also, do any of the Foci added by this add-on have special upgrades yet? Are any in the works?

I have only tried focally manipulating the light foci. Each level only has one choice. First upgrade is Frugal, which doesn't seem to do anything because the foci already has extremely low cost. Second upgrade is frugal again. Third upgrade makes the light source hurt undead, not the light emitted by the light source, just the source. And then frugal a couple more times. Putting light foci in the focal manipulator is pretty much just a waste of experience. Note that the last time I did this was a while ago, it might have been improved.

Yes they do, Containment has stuff like slowing targeted mobs and the lighting focus includes a special upgrade where it burns undead mobs in contact with it.

If you're callin' about the Mobtalker scripts, I no longer have access to them.
However, it's been getting tempting lately to put together a modpack that includes CustomNPCs, so I could definitely work in something along the same themes in the modpack's quests. Feel free to give suggestions of mods that promote an experience which minimizes mining grind in favor of exploration. I'll likely have to include Grimorie of Gaia to provide good models (No I'm not gonna directly change the default mob models)
hellote, i was wanting to try this mod out as it seemed like one of the best thaumcraft addons, but im having some problems, first of all the mod makes my game crash on world creation often but it managed to start up a few times only to lag out of existence and crash again. all i could notice was some black spots on my map, however there was nothing when i got to them. does this mod add anything world braking or cpu intensive, cuz my computer isnt exactly stolen from NASA, so i thought something might be causing it to not be able to keep up, and again, i couldnt find any configs, dont know if they exist or not at this point. and most of the time i dont even get the crash report...correction, i get NO crash reports, just some hs_err_pid.log files that get created in the minecraft folder, not in crash report folder.
anyone have an idea what might be the problem? i tried using older versions as well, but no difference. my minecraft is modded, yes, it is a work in progress as im making a bunch of changes with mod tweaker and mine tweaker, but i dont see how anything i've changed could affect this mod at all. even the thaumcraft changes are nothing more than a few extra research pages and recipes.
after removing my thaumcraft modification script i got the game to start and managed to spend a few minutes browsing through the thaumonomicon before it lagged out again with that 'cant keep up' message...
I'm going to ask this again (since my post was ignored as well as some one else who was asking for the same thing). What are the requirements to unlock Blood Alchemy?

Have you researched Automated Alchemy and Infusion yet?
Thanks to everyone for the help with the Blood Alchemy issue. It also got me thinking about why it requires the things it does.
For the Blood Alchemy it should only require Infusion and the Centrifuge research. The reason for the centrifuge is because it grants you knowledge to the essentia buffer which is one of the items needed to make the seroconverter. So my question to TheKentington is why does the Blood Alchemy research require the Automated Alchemy research? To me it just seems to be an extra step and makes achieving the Blood Alchemy rather confusing to get to.

I think it's because the Seroconverter can be set to automatically produce as many of 'this mix' as it can.
well, that's the thing, there is no crash report, the game lags out. at first everything stops moving/responding, and soon enough i either get that 'program not responding' thing or the game exits the world by itself and freezes on 'saving world' screen. no crash log generates whatsoever. i have no idea what is the problem.

First of all, turns out it's called the Liquefaction Focus. I had the wrong name.
I've tried it with just that focus and various wands, still doesn't work. All the others from this mod do.
The radial wheel can get absolutely ridiculous with every focus available on it.
The spoiler below lists all the wand foci I have in the Bottomless Pouch, which is absolutely needed at this point:
Thaumcraft:
Flame
Shock
Frost
Pech's Curse
Primal
Warding
Portable Hole
Nine Hells
Equal Trade
Excavation
Thaumic Horizons:
Containment
Liquefaction (not in the wheel but it's there)
Disintegration
Every color of Illumination
Animation
Thaumic Tinkerer:
Distortion
Shadowbeam
Celestial Recal
Dislocation
Telekinesis (I love this one)
Efreet's Flame
Mending
Ender Rift
Experience Drain
Uprising
Thaumic Infusion:
Infusing
Automagy:
Crafting
Forbidden Magic:
Blink
Magia Naturalis:
Construction
Also, noticed this here when checking item names:
http://gyazo.com/8685b1a869d0cdb3e99fa2dc4425e4c8
http://gyazo.com/76f1dbe88ece6519813abd7d5b620b39
Note the green names. All of the foci from this add-on are named null for some reason.
yorkeMC, this is a list of the TC add-ons I currently have, and mods that have substantial TC interaction:
Automagy
Botania (it has built-in TC stuff)
ChromatiCraft (WIP wand caps and core)
RotaryCraft (Bedrock Helmet of Revealing)
Blood Magic (Sanguimancer's set)
Forbidden Magic
Magia Naturalis
Magic Bees
Nodal Mechanics
Thaumcraft Mob Aspects and Thaumcraft NEI Plugin
Thaumic Energistics
Thaumic Exploration
Thaumic Horizons
Thaumic Infusion
Thaumic Tinkerer
Witching Gadgets
ExtraTiC (Thaumium and Voidmetal support recently added)
I may eventually find a way to re-add Arcane Arteries and Thaumic Upholstery if I can find a way to combine Thaumonomicon tabs properly.

Edit: Wrong name for the spoiler >.<
I have the Infusion research and the Centrifuge research (I think this is what you meant by Advanced Alchemy).
I think that's the automated crucible thing.
Thank you for the tip, I missed that one. Don't use it all that often anyway.
If I'm rude to you, just tell me. Don't take it too personally. Well, unless you were being stupid. If you were, DO take it personally.
Advanced Alchemy is a misreading what you actually need:

Check out my Metroid Door and Custom Potions!
Bit of a Bug to mention, the Diamondflesh Sparkles do not disappear in the Vat, and accumulate over time, eventually escalating to this magnitude:
I think it's because the Seroconverter can be set to automatically produce as many of 'this mix' as it can.
Ooh... That's pretty. Like a million little sparkles in a vat of water.
EDIT: I can quote, thank you very much.
If I'm rude to you, just tell me. Don't take it too personally. Well, unless you were being stupid. If you were, DO take it personally.
well, that's the thing, there is no crash report, the game lags out. at first everything stops moving/responding, and soon enough i either get that 'program not responding' thing or the game exits the world by itself and freezes on 'saving world' screen. no crash log generates whatsoever. i have no idea what is the problem.
