If you can jar a hungry node (somehow), would that work to de-hunger it and make a giant, energizeable node?

You could use a vortex attenuator to make it easier OR, build the glass frame out of obsidian that won't be eaten, put on the cap, and equal-trade the obsidian to glass. Blammo, instant jar, instant jarring.

Oh yeah. Duh. Vortex Attenuators' original purpose was to help stabilize hungry nodes. xD
In fact, probably the best idea is to aim it through the bottom, place the last glass block, and smack it with your wand. Could take a fraction of a second to be ready that way, minimal time to let the Hungry Node eat everything.

I can't get the Infusion Vat to accept essentia required by infusion recipes. I have the jars all properly connected, but the way the suction of the vat works, it doesn't take essentia, at least not easily. I just lost my Lunar Wolf to a failed Diamondflesh Infusion, and I'm upset. Luckily I had the foresight to take a blood sample, to clone him, but still. I cant even clone him unless the Vat suction gets fixed.
The Vat appears to be fairly finicky in general. The main problems that I've seen is that the Vat takes its essentia in a very specific order, which can be a problem, and even more seriously, if ther is excess essentia in the sources, it tends to block pipes. Try emptying out your sources and and replacing them, and seeing if any drains back out. Also try to replace your pipes (eg. Break them and place them again), especially if you have done other infusions previously.
It seems that the Disintegration focus can no longer be attached to a wand. I have tried with wands from TC itself and three different addons. It simply does not appear in the radial wheel. I have tried with it in a Bottomless Pouch (Thaumic Tinkerer) and just in the normal inventory.

I have done all of the above, I'm afraid. BUT... What about Witching Gadgets' Essentia Pump? That makes pipe suction act like Altar suction... So that may solve my problem!

Unfortunately no, it probably wont. This is because it doesn't pull the amount needed. It pulls little packs of 4 essentia until the suction stops

Uh, the Disintegration Focus is right there in the wheel. It's the purple one at the bottom between the Ender Rift and Dislocation Foci
nope, it will drain the first type of essentia dry and never progress to the second type
it also messes up and drains it dry if you try to use an essentia reservoir directly on the vat
this could easily be fixed if the vat had suction implemented like the advanced alchemy construct, requesting one type, then requesting another type sequentially, rather than requesting untyped at all times.
Phew, good thing I checked back before actually trying! But yes, I agree, and it should also request in order from left to right (as displayed on the Vat during infusion if goggles of revealing are worn).

The radial isn't full. I can add multiples of other foci, but not that one.

also, by "full wheel" he meant drop all your other foci so you ONLY have the disintegration in your inventory.
