Folks have been reporting difficulties with the runic shielding recipe in particular, so I'll take a look at it for 1.2 - it's probably a mismatch between the item list shown in the Thaumonomicon entry (which is just a dummy infusion recipe) and the recipe the vat actually checks.
ok so now that i finally got everything working... sort of my next problem is texture problems alot gets messed up, sorry for the pics crappyness its the best i could do, also i am using the latest forge any way to fix it?
Currently I am loving the mod. One of my favourite addons in a while. I am having a few problems though. I have a crimson knight, but even though he has instilled loyalty, he won't fight for me, what he has currently is, Instilled Loyalty, Portability, enderheart, diamond skin, thaumium claws. Also I was having trouble trying to instill loyalty in endermen, is that one that isn't allowed? I would like an endermen friend, but if it doesn't have the right brain system as the lore describes, then I guess I can't. Also I can't seem to get any of the soul things. Is there a research I need before? I also can't unlock the soul crucible from thaumic exploration. Is there some sort of soul related research that you need to do a special thing to unlock? I am about to test in a creative world with a cheat sheet to see what it might be. Thanks.

On another note, I have noticed that with this mod installed, I can infuse a body with several super-human abilities. some of them are not potion effects, like silverheart, but others, like speed and regeneration, are removable using milk. :/ because they are removable using milk, any healing method that would remove effects removes them, nullifying hours of preparation and precious resources. If you can have some effects be not stemming from a potion effect, why not all? I think it would improve the compatibility of this mod greatly, as well as the usefulness of infusing yourself.
So I had a thought occur to me when a zombie walked in front of my Sano jars.
Seroconverter De-zombification blast phial.
Basically, my idea is that with Sano, Praecantatio, and Humanus, mixing them in the right ratio in the Seroconverter with a blast phial equals the vanilla, 'splash potion of weakness and golden apple' remedy.
For the ratio, I was thinking, 3 Sano, 2 Praecantatio, and 3 Humanus.
I doubt it, then they would've had the same inky purple colour as voidmetal, but maybe they're eldritch golems or void golems. Nontheless, I'm looking forward to meet them (but probably not as much as they are looking forward to meet me)

A few infusions I would like would be related to more "useful" effects. Perhaps an upgrade to morphic fingers that further lets you use your hands as a omnitool (although, weaker than a normal tool) and/or perhaps have a built in silk touch for your hand-digging. A swim speed booster as well would also be nice (Thaumic Webbing?) to further put value to the underwater breath upgrade (Which, quite frankly, is worthless if you have a respiration helm 99% of the time). Again with Morphic Finger's upgrade, let it also have the ability to augment your bare handed punches as well. Warped Tumor should be able to effect your permanent warp as well. Considering how much warp you end up with if you have just a few addons (I have a few of the add ons, and currently sit at a 67%ish of the warp bar as perma warp. Literally no point to trying to fight lesser forms of warp at that high) I wouldn't even notice an additional 50 points of standard warp being stored. If nothing else, warped tumor should have upgraded follow up that lets it help you fight specific warp effects (Sun scorned, Blindness/Blurry Vision, death squads, ect.) instead.
Personally, I'm a fan of divergent choice pathways, and having each of the infusions having a further enhanced upgrade, that you can only pick one of. Example : Warped Tumor has an upgrade to help it resist either Sunscorned and Unnatural Hunger, or the death squads (Mindspiders/Eldritch Guards).
It just feels like a lot of the effects are redundant with things you will find on your armor anyway, and other things are worthless (Or, at the very least, unliked) due to the lack of a toggle on the effect. It just feels strange, that the hardest to unlock part of Thaumic Horizons (so far anyway) is one of the least useful.
I have a feeling that punch augmentation is one of the potential future infusions hack blef cough I totally didn't read the .lang files what are you talking about. Still, I agree about more exploration of self-infusion; heck, fire resistance without armor or chugging potions or spending a bauble slot would be pretty nice, especially in the Nether. Or a respiration/aqua affinity. Part of Self-Infusion is recreating potion and, potentially, enchantment effects in your own body, but there's also features like Morphic Fingers as well. I like the idea of being able to become an optimized being that doesn't need to rely on armor or trinkets in order to get by in harsh extremes.

I'm having a problem with making villagers.
I'm playing on a private server (running Cauldron), and the owner tends to skip things like changelogs so I can't easily see what has changed at our end.
It looks like I have V1.0.4, and when I go to make a villager the effigy soaks up sano essentia (I stopped at 128 in the vat) and never forms a body. The book still says 8. Attempting to right click the jar with the soul inside only opens the GUI. When I remove the effigy, I lose all my essentia (dang it). I have sucessfully created three villagers in the past with this exact setup, so it used to work.
I see in your changelog that there was an issue resolved in 1.1.1 - "Fixed an issue where the vat would endlessly drain essentia". Is it possible that this is a related issue (and I should badger the admin to update)?
Love the mod. There's the odd thing I feel needs some slight polish or balancing here and there (in my personal opinion based on my subjective experience, at least) but all in all it's definitely one of the better addons. I can tell there's a lot of thought and effort behind it. If I may, just a handful of musings, both of balance and potential content, from my playthrough:
1) I made a chocolate cow, and started making chocolate blocks, only to find that there were no white chocolate blocks. Unfortunate.
2) My Golden Chickens require only Victus to clone. I assume this is a bug. Haven't tested it on other things.
3) Had to travel many, many thousands of blocks to find a jungle. Sitting on dozens of Mana Beans, yet no Cocoa beans.
4) Had to hit up at least five different Magical Forests before I could find Aqua. After 3) happened, am left wondering if there would ever be a Bean Transmutation addition to agricultural alchemy.
5) Managed to capture an Eldritch Guardian borne of Warp. Was thoroughly disappointed to learn that I could not Instill Loyalty into it.
6) Kirlian Lens seems a little too low cost, no maintenance for the massive boost that permanent access to limitless Night Vision. Perhaps certain Lenses could have a small, passive drain on vis reserves, akin to Repair enchantments or Runic Shielding?
7) Tracker's Lens, adds compass, clock, and Sinister Lodestone to HUD?
8) Technician's Lens, allows viewing of altar stability factoids and Essentia Tube suction/contents?
9) Been playing with Liquid Death, and the idea of Liquid Life seems right up this mod's alley. Something green, perhaps? Rather than healing things, however, young animals that come in contact with it are given a buff that makes them grow up faster, and undead things take twice as much if not more damage than Liquid Death, but still drop their crystallized aspects.
In addition to my experiences in the above post, I've noticed a few other things that maybe shouldn't be happening. For instance, my Wand of Excavation with Silk Touch keeps giving me "Curative Vat" blocks whenever I break my Curative Vat. They are invisible when placed, but can be re-broken. Curiously, they can be scanned for points and melted for essentia.
In addition, the Essentia Dynamo. I assume the rings are supposed to change colour, but the result I've noticed is that the whole thing changes colour and kind of flickers every now and then. I don't know whether or not this is intentional. Also, was the Seroconverter supposed to be able to connect to warded jars underneath it without any tubes?
Uh, is there a wiki for this, I have no idea how to do a forth of this stuff. And I am pretty sure if I tried I would just end up getting no where.

I am a prehistoric histories and manga / anime fan.

Or mutate things into hulking masses of flesh because they were overloaded by the healing...

Instilled Loyalty makes (nearly) any infused mob act like a wolf (apparently even Crimson Cultists).
