Is there a minimum size for mobs?Is it also possible for you to make an interactive "corpse"
What I have in mind is a gigantic mob that has two phases:You first fight it from the outside and after taking its health down,it will go unconscious for a few moment. When nothing is done,it will just go back up and recover a few amount of health. To actually defeat it,you would have to right click a certain part of the boss while it's down.Doing so will take you to the inside of the boss, where you will have to fight off some of the "guards" inside it.While inside the boss, the goal is to get to the vital part of the boss and destroy it.After destroying this part, either you will just be taken outside automatically or an opening will appear and you would have to go there to leave the inside of the boss. After escaping the interior of the boss, you can either find the loot lying on the ground or watch the boss collapse and the loots drop off.
I don't really have an actual design for this boss.
I can't make an "interior" of a mob. I wanted to make a whale boss like that, but there's just no way.
The guardians in vanilla already look like that, you realize?

What if you make it so that it goes unconscious, and then just spawns a few minions and you have to kill them within a certain amount of time or it will revive? Also,if you wanted to make a whale boss,it would be cool if it was only hostile if attacked first.

Do you mean there's no way to make the interior bigger than the outside texture? Couldn't you possibly implement something like Gulliver's mod where you shrink down whenever you enter the inside of a creature and all the mobs are miniaturized as well?

There would be no blocks, no ground, or anything. It would just be more of the mob's model.
You could make the "interior" be a separate dimension, like the outer lands in thaumcraft.
Then if two players fight two different instances of the mob, they both warp to the same interior. Trust me, I've thought this all out and it does not work.
I just updated to the latest version. It seems to run everywhere but Minecraft. When I tried to open it again, it crashed, with the exact same log, and when I scrolled down, it said I had Java 6, despite me updating. I closed and reopened Minecraft, I used the verification app on the website, which confirmed I had the right version, I checked my settings, yet it still doesn't work! Any ideas internet?
I had this same problem with using java 7 when java 8 was needed. The answer is to uninstall java 6/7 by (this worked on windows 8.1, it's pretty similar on other windows oses, and if you have a mac I hate you anyway, so I cannot help you there.) going to the windows button in the bottom left corner, opening up the control panel, (gear Icon,) and click the little magnifying glass icon, then type into the search bar "uninstall" you should be able to find a 'remove programs & things' or something like that option, then find java 6 and remove it. I also had to go through this whole process again soon after, because apperently they still put the 32 bit download first, even when almost nobody has a 32 computer anymore. Make sure you check that.
I can tell you put a lot of thought into this, but I don't think I'm going to make it. It seems to be nothing but an annoyance: not fun or cool. Players won't get excited about this.
Now, THIS I can see being a great addition! I'll try to think of a way to make this work...
So far, BobMowzie's thoughts on what's good / what is not have aligned pretty much completely with mine! I can totally answer people's suggestions with his actual thoughts! Mind reading Ha-ha! Yeah, something tells me I shouldn't do what I just said I could do...

So,that whale thing gave me an idea. What if you make some kind of sky whale mob that is only aggressive if attacked first. It would be awesome, but I don't know if it is too complex or not. Also, maybe if you defeat it,it drops a piece of armor like the ferrous wroughtnaut.
There's always aqua creepers. It's a mod that adds a swimming version of creepers they jump out of water at you, they look like a blue fish with a creeper face. I like this mob because it makes oceans a bit more interesting and they can take out boats. Angler fish in plans looks cool Mowzie were you planning on making it just deep sea or also in shallow water?

What about making the whale something like what meta worlds does with their ships. It's still an entity but you can stand on it and interact/break blocks while there.

Living dungeons?, basicly a dungeon that it builded up with living blocks and some spawn anti-Duns, Once you enter the area you can't get out until you find the core/heart, then when it's destroyed the dungeon would be breakable but some blocks explode from time to time.

This is what I did, so I can confirm this is likely what people need to do. I dunno how new of a feature it is, but Minecraft now installs under the Program Files (x86) (on my computer) rather than %appdata% while Forge still installs there.

Not necessarily. I can think of several ways around that off the top of my head. Firstly, you could stack several "interior" structures within the same dimension, and have the player teleported to a random one. Random Things does the same thing with it's Spectre Key. Or, you could have each boss mob create a separate "interior" dimension. Dimensional doors, Witchery, Thaumcraft, Mystcraft, RFtools, and probably several other mods already do something similar for various things (e.g. Mystcraft's books, RFtools dimensions, Thaumcraft's Outer lands, etc.). Adding all that in, making the interior in a separate dimension is a definite possibility.

Don't worry, already fixed the problem. Turns out it's a problem with Minecraft's launcher on Mac OS X Yosemite. I found an article that showed a workaround. Lucky me, this means I can actually use Hardcore Ender Expansion now!

I wouldn't want a separate dimension for something like that. It'd just mess with the immersion imo.

Oh no i just thought it would be funny to see it commit suicide by blowing you up with it! XD
Currently merging Augmented Inferno and Void into one super mod!! Details will be linked in Bio soon.
So in other words,a more annoying version of the Creeper?
Do you need any help with modeling and/or texturing? I would love to help.
I make models and textures. Message me if you are interested.
Things I support
pretty much

I can't do that.
