Yes, the Barakoa took a lot out of me. Even some minor features were very new to me and difficult to create.
I can assure you that new content is in development. For the sake of "hype", I'm not showing anything yet ;). And for the sake of not disappointing everyone, I can't estimate when it will be ready. I agree with you; I plan to make some more basic mobs for a bit to get them out faster and flesh the mod's world out.
I support this; adding simpler content. The mod does feel rather shallow and could use a bit more substance to it. Not everything needs to be an epic, unique addition. Cause if you are anything like me (which you do seem to be), I get discouraged from making content when each and every new thing is a huge project. x.x'
I suggest you work on a cold climate addition for your next thing. At least in the worlds I'm used to, you have to travel huge distances between cold and warm climate biomes. So if one starts in a cold climate area, they usually have to travel a long ways to visit over half of your current content.

BTW I did get it working. For anyone who is having issues getting the 1.7.10 version to work, I had to use a download from a different site with Llibrary 1.5.1.

Mowzie: God of decay, he has corrupted the universe since its existence.
Creating pain and destruction wherever he went.
Your job is to defeat it, otherwise you will lose the ability to respawn.
But to reach him the player must go on a journey filled with deadly surprises...
Okayontee: Horned Dire Wolfs that wake at night in the snowy biomes, their packs are huge and voracious.
BEWARE! when hunting Okayontees separate and cover long areas searching everywhere for prey (Yes even the player) when one finds something it calls the others for help.
Making a typical Wolf sound 😲.
(Okayontees Can drop furr used for armor, the helmet looks like a wolf head)
Golden Okayontee: It has beautyfull golden horns, It is rarely found in Okayontee packs in wich he is the leader.
Hunters have tried to kill it in the past... Usually ending in failure.
With its horns you can make a golden bow that never misses a shot.
Tigerfish: colonies of small orange blacked striped Fish that kill like pirahnas.
They are RARELY found in rivers, and destroy boats from uderneath causing the player to fall in water.
They fear guardians wich kill them with ease.
Cryomites: Little cubic parasytes found in Crystal Caves (caves that generate underground specially in Extreme Hills biomes, valuable ores are inside them).
They feed with Crystal Energy this is why they are attached to the crystals.
When the player gets bitten, they cause a strange nausiating psychedelic effect that distracts the player from killing the critters.
Blox: a morfologic, metaphysic entite belived to come from space. It has a rather "unique" ability, blox can transform into any block they want when endangered.(dirt, lava, TNT, sword if tamed and much more...)
Also if you are lucky to find one and tame it with a nether star it can grant you acess to a rather terrifying Place... Or just keep it as a pet😑
Again, awesome mod and sorry for any grammatical mistakes, English is not my native language.
If you liked my ideas let me know... By by
Some of these mechanics feel more annoying than fun... None of them appeal to me very much, sorry.
First, I know you won't be making any further changes to 1.7.10.
With that being said, as far as I can see, the Sun Chief is coded and available in 1.7.10, but obviously not naturally spawning. As far as YOU are aware, are all of his attacks and things working as well? I saw the sun beams, but I wasn't sure if there was anything else he did or was supposed to do, that was available in newer versions of the game.
Also, if you have any familiarity with JAS (I can go ask there if needed), would you have any "fun" suggestions on where to FORCE him to spawn, if I wanted to use him? Are you aware of any bugs or crashes caused by him spawning?

Yes, he works fine. A secret feature is not present in 1.7.10, but you can still enjoy him. I recommend a low spawnrate in savannas. Just remember that he'll be sitting on the ground instead of his throne.
there will be an update for 1.8.9 version? I want to add this mod in my modpack but other mods are compatible only with 1.8.9.
By the way this is a very fantastic mod! Congratulations!
No, sorry. It took me a year to port the mod from 1.7.10 to 1.10.2. It will take me somewhat as long to port back. I'd rather focus on developing new content.
That's not quite part of the plan.
They mostly stay away from foliaaths.

Hey, just to let you know, I'm RedRandom4...but it won't let me sign on with that account for some strange reason.
Anyway, as I was thinking of the Bil'ly Goatus and the Capratas, I did take your concern about them charging off the sides of the mountains.
So I thought about it for a bit and thought of a way to stop that, at least with the Capratas. The war chief only spawns in the village.
Though, I also had an idea that instead of a village, the goatus actually lived in large fortresses, one that you would have to break into. This would help as well, I feel, as the goatus would be fighting indoors and therefore, not charge off mountain sides. But, I can see how this fortress idea might not be able to work since it would take a bit too long to make compared to other ideas.
After a lot of consideration, I think I'd like to move forward with other ideas. Sorry.
Hello it's me again, I come to ask you a thing as you know the 1.12 is very near, and as you have several plans surely in this version you are going to update new mobs what I want to ask is ¿that you work for 1.11.2? since I have errors for some time with the new updates of forge load bad textures etc. I ask you because there is a chance that a new version of forge does not run well the game so far the best I run without any errors in textures or other Errors is 1.11.2
Sorry if I wrote badly, I speak Spanish and it costs to write to you and ask a question[/pre]

Give the mob an initial weak point where, if hit, will cause the mob to stagger. Then, before the mob can recover, the player can strike a new weak point to cause the mob to fall down, giving the player a chance to attack said mob.
An Example:
Some hulking bipedal mob has said initial weak point on its face. Hit its face and the mob will stagger backwards. While it's doing that, you can then hit them at their heel to cause them to completely fall backwards.
Should be able to grab you, and pull you in with it's tongue.

I think I already made some suggestions here years ago (that were all rejected, but Im not angry).
I would like to share some ideas I had long ago.
The first one I dont think it was one of the Ideas I posted here (not 100% sure) but it was one that stuck in my head for a very long time.
The other ideas I suggested here did not. I remember suggesting squid people that are basically underwater testificates or something like that. Sounds a bit lame, now that I think about it. Merefolk can be awesome, but not like I suggested it back then. But back to the topic.
I thought about some creatures that live in caves, in some sort of villages they built into the stone.
They could look like some sort of goblin or troll.
They would be hostile either initially or when the player attacks them or enters their village.
In functionality, they would resemble the barakoa, but be in caves instead of the savanna. at first.
Sending out groups of them for mineing ores instead of hunting and bringing all the ores to their nest in the center of their village for storage. Maybe they could even dig tunnels to search for ores.
The Idea was that you could conquer and subdue them by killing their chief or replaceing their totem or something, and they would not attack but follow your orders.
From there, you could set them up to mine for ores in a choosen location and drop all ores into a chest you mark.
or they could do other things, like farming crops or animals, chop wood, all the repetitive stuff that takes so much time.
You could also have them follow you as an army.
On second thought, thats something that wouldnt require goblin creatures that live in caves, and could as well be added to the barakoa.
(Do the Barakoa count as human? If so, that would be slavery. Barakoa breeding in the future, if that gets implemented? I would certainly suggest it for the cave goblins or whatever their names would be)
I am sure as hell I never suggested the second one anywhere, despite me haveing the feeling that this needs to be a thing for even longer than I know that minecraft had mods. But since I almost never saw something like that, and always with some other content I dont see how it benefits the game for a large part, I dont know if many people agree.
Its about the nether. Something that bugs me about the nether from the moment I first heared of it. I want that to be fixed.
Im nervous because I dont know how the reactions to that will be.
I dont know if thats the case everywhere, but in the german community (at least the Part I have acces to) the nether is nicknamed "Hölle". Hölle being the german word for "Hell", which means the nether is nicknamed "minecraft hell".
Hell is said to be the home of demons and the devil. Yet there are no mobs in the nether to resemble them.
Ive had a bunch of ideas how to implement that, but all of them had a few things in common.
1: No matter how I imagined said Mob, it always had horns, a red skincolor and yellow eyes. Size and shape varied.
2: It apeared to be scentient to the point where they ***** armor or at least clothing and had structures dedicated to them and social structures.
3: It always spawned in the nether naturally, was very powerful in combat, and was fireproof.
What could such a demon mob do? I asked myself that question a lot.
Some Answers I came up with are:
Trade powerful Items with the player, that allow him to wield demonic powers in exchange for his soul.
Defend their home against the intruders from the overworld.
Build nether portals and try to invade and conquer the overworld for the Nether.
One could argue that I am suggesting something from christian mythology, and all I can offer as a counter argument is: The nether is in Vanilla Minecraft.
If I ever get my head arround how to make mods myself, I will try to create that mob myself.

Yeah, that's good: pretty standard. Need to think of something that fits this just right.
oh, knock knock, who is it you might ask? Well...I think you should know. IT'S ME! AGAIN!
I have another idea (p.s. I hope I'm not annoying you with my attempts, and if I am, I apologize, I don't mean to)
This idea is for the swamp biome and I think it's good, not sure about you, though.
I call them Bul'zoidions, but you can think of a better name if you wish.
basically, it's a giant, frog-man hybrid that act as guardians of the swamps. They are often inside an almost mystical grotto deep within the swamps. A one block tall pool of water that they stand in is in the middle with flowers around the pool. They'ed be able to swipe at you with their claws and also be able to slam on the ground with two closed fists. they'd also be able to shoot either a long, geyser of scalding water at the player or shoot smaller balls of water into the air so that they rain down on you.the attacks are more powerful when it rains.
I would say that they are about four to five blocks tall and are a bit a tiny bit lanky. But, they have a big beer belly that holds all the water they shoot out of their mouths.they don't like fire and will put out torches and fire if they see them, scared it'll burn the swamp down.
They attack witches and pretty much every mob that enters their grotto.
I hope you enjoy my idea.
It's pretty good, but not too exciting. Maybe there's another theme that can be tied in here?
