Might be frowned upon to mention it, but the Ferrous Wroughtnaut caught my eye because it reminded me of the phantoms from Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass/Spirit Tracks.

Yep, there was certainly some inspiration taken from the Legend of Zelda. The foliaath too.
Nah, I feel like those dimensions are well populated already.
They all seem to be able to spawn on peaceful. Is this intentional?
The wroughtnaught axe seems a bit weak for the difficulty in obtaining it; perhaps bump up the damage by one or two points, and maybe make it a lower drop chance if it seems imbalanced?
Also, I can't see the axe's right-click animation. I'm not sure if this is a conflict or a 1.10.2 thing, I apologize for not reading the whole thread.
I personally feel the barakoa spawns are a bit too frequent, though it's probably because I live in a savannah. Specifically, I'm building a creative world in a savannah, and those guys are everywhere. But that's probably an unpopular opinion, so disregard.
(Totally forgot that Zelda had living plant things, it's just that phantoms were my favorite enemy.)
EDIT: Oh, I figured out why the animation doesn't play; I use the left-handed model, which there isn't an animation for.
My right hand still swings, there just isn't an axe in it

can you make axe of the thousand metals do crushing blow as the ferrous wroughnaut does? its animation is perfect but axe does only swinging of him and its cleave damage should be improved , however this is perfect i love this mod nice work!
So I was thinking a bit more on the pirates. The only things I can come up with would be:
- Ship battles between two boats. You could stumble upon a cannon battle of two opposing factions duking it out. Perhaps whichever side you help to victory could give you a map to a buried treasure.
- Alternatively, the same reward could be given if you were to bribe them with something they desire, like gold ingots, a diamond, etc. If you could add a config to add more "bribe items" you could tweak it to use items from other mods, to your liking, like guns, or other pirate-y things. If you get too close without dropping something for them, they'd attack instead, and you would lose your opportunity of getting their treasure.
- Or, instead of bribing them to have them give you a map, you could lure them away from a chest they were "digging a hole" to bury, with a trail of goodies, or something. They'd be on the beach with a campfire or something of the sort, and have their ship off in the background waiting in the ocean.
- Instead of a classic boat in the ocean, you could try an airship/sky pirate theme instead.
- Instead of being hostile, they could be a friendly group you come across, which you could "pay" them for information to try to locate a Frostmaw cave. (The reason they'd be there is because they're also hunting the Frostmaw.) Perhaps you could return something of the beast to them for a reward as a special rare event/item kind of thing.
That's about all I've got for now, to try to be somewhat original with pirates in a Minecraft mod.

Apparently, in my dream, the Frostmaw looked alot different to how I always imagined. I always imagined the frostmaw to be a huge yeti like beast, but in my dream however, instead of being really large, it was only about the same size of a player and far less cool. Aside from that, it look very similar, but it was just way smaller.
