First, I know you won't be making any further changes to 1.7.10.
With that being said, as far as I can see, the Sun Chief is coded and available in 1.7.10, but obviously not naturally spawning. As far as YOU are aware, are all of his attacks and things working as well? I saw the sun beams, but I wasn't sure if there was anything else he did or was supposed to do, that was available in newer versions of the game.
Also, if you have any familiarity with JAS (I can go ask there if needed), would you have any "fun" suggestions on where to FORCE him to spawn, if I wanted to use him? Are you aware of any bugs or crashes caused by him spawning?
Yes, he works fine. A secret feature is not present in 1.7.10, but you can still enjoy him. I recommend a low spawnrate in savannas. Just remember that he'll be sitting on the ground instead of his throne.
there will be an update for 1.8.9 version? I want to add this mod in my modpack but other mods are compatible only with 1.8.9.
By the way this is a very fantastic mod! Congratulations!
No, sorry. It took me a year to port the mod from 1.7.10 to 1.10.2. It will take me somewhat as long to port back. I'd rather focus on developing new content.
That's not quite part of the plan.

Hey, just to let you know, I'm RedRandom4...but it won't let me sign on with that account for some strange reason.
Anyway, as I was thinking of the Bil'ly Goatus and the Capratas, I did take your concern about them charging off the sides of the mountains.
So I thought about it for a bit and thought of a way to stop that, at least with the Capratas. The war chief only spawns in the village.
Though, I also had an idea that instead of a village, the goatus actually lived in large fortresses, one that you would have to break into. This would help as well, I feel, as the goatus would be fighting indoors and therefore, not charge off mountain sides. But, I can see how this fortress idea might not be able to work since it would take a bit too long to make compared to other ideas.
After a lot of consideration, I think I'd like to move forward with other ideas. Sorry.
Hello it's me again, I come to ask you a thing as you know the 1.12 is very near, and as you have several plans surely in this version you are going to update new mobs what I want to ask is ¿that you work for 1.11.2? since I have errors for some time with the new updates of forge load bad textures etc. I ask you because there is a chance that a new version of forge does not run well the game so far the best I run without any errors in textures or other Errors is 1.11.2
Sorry if I wrote badly, I speak Spanish and it costs to write to you and ask a question[/pre]

I think I already made some suggestions here years ago (that were all rejected, but Im not angry).
I would like to share some ideas I had long ago.
The first one I dont think it was one of the Ideas I posted here (not 100% sure) but it was one that stuck in my head for a very long time.
The other ideas I suggested here did not. I remember suggesting squid people that are basically underwater testificates or something like that. Sounds a bit lame, now that I think about it. Merefolk can be awesome, but not like I suggested it back then. But back to the topic.
I thought about some creatures that live in caves, in some sort of villages they built into the stone.
They could look like some sort of goblin or troll.
They would be hostile either initially or when the player attacks them or enters their village.
In functionality, they would resemble the barakoa, but be in caves instead of the savanna. at first.
Sending out groups of them for mineing ores instead of hunting and bringing all the ores to their nest in the center of their village for storage. Maybe they could even dig tunnels to search for ores.
The Idea was that you could conquer and subdue them by killing their chief or replaceing their totem or something, and they would not attack but follow your orders.
From there, you could set them up to mine for ores in a choosen location and drop all ores into a chest you mark.
or they could do other things, like farming crops or animals, chop wood, all the repetitive stuff that takes so much time.
You could also have them follow you as an army.
On second thought, thats something that wouldnt require goblin creatures that live in caves, and could as well be added to the barakoa.
(Do the Barakoa count as human? If so, that would be slavery. Barakoa breeding in the future, if that gets implemented? I would certainly suggest it for the cave goblins or whatever their names would be)
I am sure as hell I never suggested the second one anywhere, despite me haveing the feeling that this needs to be a thing for even longer than I know that minecraft had mods. But since I almost never saw something like that, and always with some other content I dont see how it benefits the game for a large part, I dont know if many people agree.
Its about the nether. Something that bugs me about the nether from the moment I first heared of it. I want that to be fixed.
Im nervous because I dont know how the reactions to that will be.
I dont know if thats the case everywhere, but in the german community (at least the Part I have acces to) the nether is nicknamed "Hölle". Hölle being the german word for "Hell", which means the nether is nicknamed "minecraft hell".
Hell is said to be the home of demons and the devil. Yet there are no mobs in the nether to resemble them.
Ive had a bunch of ideas how to implement that, but all of them had a few things in common.
1: No matter how I imagined said Mob, it always had horns, a red skincolor and yellow eyes. Size and shape varied.
2: It apeared to be scentient to the point where they ***** armor or at least clothing and had structures dedicated to them and social structures.
3: It always spawned in the nether naturally, was very powerful in combat, and was fireproof.
What could such a demon mob do? I asked myself that question a lot.
Some Answers I came up with are:
Trade powerful Items with the player, that allow him to wield demonic powers in exchange for his soul.
Defend their home against the intruders from the overworld.
Build nether portals and try to invade and conquer the overworld for the Nether.
One could argue that I am suggesting something from christian mythology, and all I can offer as a counter argument is: The nether is in Vanilla Minecraft.
If I ever get my head arround how to make mods myself, I will try to create that mob myself.

Yeah, that's good: pretty standard. Need to think of something that fits this just right.
oh, knock knock, who is it you might ask? Well...I think you should know. IT'S ME! AGAIN!
I have another idea (p.s. I hope I'm not annoying you with my attempts, and if I am, I apologize, I don't mean to)
This idea is for the swamp biome and I think it's good, not sure about you, though.
I call them Bul'zoidions, but you can think of a better name if you wish.
basically, it's a giant, frog-man hybrid that act as guardians of the swamps. They are often inside an almost mystical grotto deep within the swamps. A one block tall pool of water that they stand in is in the middle with flowers around the pool. They'ed be able to swipe at you with their claws and also be able to slam on the ground with two closed fists. they'd also be able to shoot either a long, geyser of scalding water at the player or shoot smaller balls of water into the air so that they rain down on you.the attacks are more powerful when it rains.
I would say that they are about four to five blocks tall and are a bit a tiny bit lanky. But, they have a big beer belly that holds all the water they shoot out of their mouths.they don't like fire and will put out torches and fire if they see them, scared it'll burn the swamp down.
They attack witches and pretty much every mob that enters their grotto.
I hope you enjoy my idea.
It's pretty good, but not too exciting. Maybe there's another theme that can be tied in here?

Well, I won't add any mob griefing: breaking or placing blocks. This seems to be your core mechanics for both of these mobs. In their current states, these ideas don't appeal to me. Sorry.
The Barakoa are not human. They don't breed either; Barako spawns them from masks.

I am thinking...... can you make something can use its mind to change its size?
I meant, the mob is in the normal size at first. but when it is in a low HP, it will get bigger, and in the size of house or... a TITAN! then it will use its true power to attack the player.
Also, I really want something like death attack.
what is death attack?
It means the attack after the mob died. when the mob died, it will shoot ton of bullet for 60 seconds(or higher). the player must dodge the bullets or die. If the player died, the mob will rebrith. If the player survived, the mob will really died.
I can't say the skills of mobs due to my bad english. but I still can say some suggestions to you. so I hope you can do something like I suggested.
Can You PLEASE add a statue Of Floaaith With A moving animation I want to make the model a block in my crash bandicoot map but i dont know how to get the model
Mmm...maybe, but I'm not entirely sure on what the theme should be.
maybe, on rare instances, you can find a grotto that's been corrupted by a witch and now the Bul'zoidion is under their control, if you kill the witch, the grotto is now back to normal and the Bul'zoidion rewards you with some of the grotto's water. I was thinking that the water from the grotto can not be harmed by lava or not evaporate in the Nether. Or it can heal the player the longer they're in it. The bul'zoidion will now not attack the player and will allow them to use the grotto. However, if the player tries to steal the water or kill the Bul'zoidion, they will fight to the death.
That's pretty good. I'll have to do more thinking.

Sure, but I need think of a mob this would make sense for.

Sorry, it wouldn't really make sense outside of the context of your map.
Instead, you can hide a mob nearby and the foliaath will come out to try to eat it.
Reproposing my suggestion from Modular Bosses in this thread.
I had a concept for a boss:
IIt should probably be a swordsman, you'll see later in the suggestion why. I would give concept art, but the point is this could be literally ANYTHING.
What's the main gimmick you ask? You know how a lot of bosses nowadays rely on you having to wait until you find a mistake to punish? Well, in this case it's the BOSS that does that.
You get a cookie if you know the boss that originally used this mechanic.
So let's assume that this enemy's a Swordsman. He'd slowly walk towards you and wait for you to strike. If you hit him with your sword, he'll parry your attack and then push you back. On occasion he might even disarm you. He won't take the sword, however he will try to guard it. When guarding, he always faces you and points your sword at you. It won't be the traditional "Walk as fast as possible and get that sword back" because he'll stab you as soon as you get close. Yes, this also would happen if you try to attack from underground. So you have to trick him to get your sword back. Basically you have to keep moving left and right until you see he is confused (I'd say like 3 seconds of spamming A and D. If he's confused, he'll keep pointing his sword left and right every 0.5 seconds, even after you stop). Then, walk in the direction that's "free" from his sword in that moment and run as fast as possible.
Now how do you damage this boss, you're probably thinking. Well, here's how. Block and release block at a quick rate. As soon as you release block, he will put the guard up, because he's expecting an attack (And if you try to attack him while he's blocking, first: nice job. Second: he won't take damage, only some slight knockback, and you'll just consume durability). And viceversa. However, there is a 0.5 second delay between YOUR block release and HIS block. You have to strike him in that time window. He'll jump away, and rinse 'n repeat. Also if you hold block for too long, he will perform a slash that breaks trough the block and even deals extra damage.
After he loses around half his health, he stops going defensive and decides to go offensive. Here you could put all kinds of sword attacks: sword slash while dashing, sword spin, sword slash combo... After using 5 attacks, he will get tired, allowing you to strike him. If you attack him when he isn't tired, he'll parry the attack (and eventual follow-ups) and then reset the "attack counter". Rinse, repeat until one of the two dies. Preferrably the player because I want to laugh a bit.
Oh, almost forgot. He will also reflect arrows, kick TNT back at you if you try to damage him with it, and block anything that isn't a melee weapon.
This is only one of the possibilities with the "First goes defensive, then goes offensive" concept. I only gave you a template on how you COULD use it.
This should be a doable boss mob.
This is really cool! You'll likely see some elements of this in the upcoming Phoben mob.
After a long time I finally got another good idea, this more of a concept than a complete, fleshed out idea but you still might like it.
Basically it's a doppelganger/shapeshifter type of mob, as soon as it sees you it transforms into you instantly, with the exact armor, items, health, and everything else.
It copies everything you do, you walk forwards, so does it, you draw your bow at it, so does it, you try to attack with a sword, it attacks you back, it hits back too.
It's attack power is always slightly stronger than yours when you encounter it, and it does whatever you do exactly like you did, attacking is useless as you will always die before he does, that poison potion you threw at him will be instantly countered by another poison potion that lasts slightly longer, that Harming potion will be stronger
"Hey, this sounds like it's impossible to win, how do you expect any reasonable person to like this?"
Well there is a simple way to beat it:
Do nothing.
Just stand there, and it will to.
"Then what?"
Keep waiting.
If you decide to wait, you may notice the longer you do nothing, the more, agitated the creature becomes, moving slightly, making heavy breathing noises, and making quiet snarling/growling noises, soon these signs of agitation will worsen, until suddenly the creature will leap at you (The distance depending on how far away you are, the leap will always reach you no matter what.) and make a loud scream while leaping, he will switch to his sword/whatever melee object does the most damage in your inventory before the leap, and will attempt to hit you when he lands, if he does, it will do a large amount of damage and stun you for a short amount of time, afterwards he will do some generic sword and bow attacks, but the longer you fight him the more savage and animal-like he becomes, soon just dropping his weapon and running on all fours, attempting to claw you, soon his physical form will change to suit his beast-like behavior. (Not gonna say how his appearance changes because I am lazy but if you want some inspiration just look up some "The Thing" clips on youtube for inspiration.)
After you chop off most of his health, he will have changed his physical body so much it's barely recognizable, and after you kill it, it melts into a puddle of black glop that evaporates after a short time.
I don't know what his drops will be, either it's some random items in your inventory or something that you can decide on.
Also I was planning on putting a section on it's behavior with other mobs but 1. I am lazy, and 2. It's probably not worth coding in.
I've thought about it, but vanilla doesn't have one so I thought it would just make my mobs feel even more 'different'.
Yes, he works fine. A secret feature is not present in 1.7.10, but you can still enjoy him. I recommend a low spawnrate in savannas. Just remember that he'll be sitting on the ground instead of his throne.

These aren't bad ideas TheBeast, I wouldn't ask for them, but they are creative and I would not be upset if they were added.
There is one God. The creator of the heavens and the earth, who sent his son down to earth to save us... he loves you and he's pursuing you. Return to him.
...yeah, I'm one of THOSE guys.

Aw, thanks! Sorry, I don't use Twitter.
Yeah, that's good: pretty standard. Need to think of something that fits this just right.
They don't breed either; Barako spawns them from masks.
...Now imagining Barako carving the masks, one by one, until there are enough for a civilization.
Praise be Ro-naza, greatest among the thaumaturges!

That's pretty good. I'll have to do more thinking.
Sure, but I need think of a mob this would make sense for.
Sorry, it wouldn't really make sense outside of the context of your map.
Instead, you can hide a mob nearby and the foliaath will come out to try to eat it.
