Mods which add custom renderers are my biggest resource issue right now. I go from ~160 fps with no mods just Forge to ~18 fps with all 200+ mods installed.
I got this crash when using the Aether II mod:

I don't do any custom rendering for the river blocks, the game handles them fine as water textures with a defined current. The slowdown most likely comes from the river generation process and hopefully gets better when not exploring, depending on Optifine chunk load settings and such.
It seems that Dendrology is crashing when trying to spawn trees in an area of empty space from Aether II (ground height 0). Can you double-check if these two mods work together when Streams is absent?
My mods:
I'm having a crash with the Streams mod and the DEEP DARK added by extra utilities. It crashes during the world generation. It is reproducible with only those two mods running. Any suggestions besides blocking the deep dark?was solved, not related to this mod.
I have Botania, Natura, Biome'O'Plenty, Streams - Real Flowing Rivers and Realistic World Gen !
I really like this mod, I always loved to build rivers system and making them flows was impossible.
This mode changed everything !

I'm not sure if you've seen the CaveBiomes mod by WhiskytangoFox, but currently it appears that these two are somewhat incompatible. There's no crashes or anything, your rivers just simply don't generate for some odd reason. WhiskytangoFox briefly talked about this and said that as both mods are in their early stages that's bound to happen. Not sure if there's anything either of you guys can do at this point in time, just kinda getting the word out that they don't work together 100% yet. Would love to see them work together though, WhiskytangoFox even spoke of underground rivers utilizing your mod so that's got me quite excited for the future of both of these mods
Also, pro tip: Use this mod with Realistic World Generation. It changes everything.
Only if you add in an alligator that can break the tube, and some rubber patches to fix the tube.
Maybe some soda-cans that you can throw at the alligator as well.
(... wonders how long before someone gets the reference ...)

They don't replace the Vanilla Rivers but if he where to do it it's just removing a Biome.
Thanks for your comment ArtyArtyArtemis! One unexpected thing about releasing this mod is how many other unheard-of mods I discover as commenters discuss comptability.
So I tried CaveBiomes and it's really nice. I did get streams in the world though. Perhaps you need to try a few more times?
Now I'm talking about surface streams here. Underground rivers are planned, in two stages: first tunnels above sea level, then rivers below sea level that empty in underground lakes or lava pools. All of this, as well as a basic API for custom worlds, will be part of an upcoming river generation rewrite. It will take some time, but keep the suggestions coming and I'll integrate as many as feasible.

Hmm... I tried a few different times... perhaps its another incompatibility. I'm gonna test it a bit more and I'll get back to you on it.

Another suggestion/idea that's not so much about incompatibility as it is compatibility (if that makes any sense
the reason i say this is there are no good chunk pre-generators, my city is massive, to move it into another world cant be done without many chunks being loaded
