Okie doke. I can't express how thankful I am about you doing this for me by the way. This is a one-man project and I'm not much of a texture artist.
No worries, thanks for making this great mod.
Here is just a quick demo of what I have put together for how CTM'd paths would look.
Creating the tree in order to do so will be more complicated so once I have that part figured out I will let you know. That said I am thinking of adding a greater amount of blending to cut down on the contrast so the textures look a bit more worn.
Just a forewarning. I'm making a new mod called Simply Utilities which basically just adds a lot of nice and useful stuff. I just wanna point out, however, that this means conveyors will soon be moved over to it.
This is a change that I think will be for the better to keep this mod in the style of 'decor'.
Now moving on: Simply Utilities. Simply Utilities will basically have lots of nice gadgets and gizmos for you guys to use, and the first addition to it will be the conveyor belts. I don't want to release this until I get a few more things as well. Look forward to seeing this sometime soon! Notice that this may impact upon development time of Simply Paths, but development will not come to a halt, so no need to be worried.
Ok just to clear things up. Simply Utilities is a work in progress and isn't released yet. The version with the conveyors removed isn't uploaded yet due to this and until Simply Utilities is out the next Simply Paths update will not come out due to this.
Yay, good work I really like your mod, it's so easy to draw roads now, testing new version right now
Thanks a ton. By the way, keep in mind there's a MP crash when placing Item Propellers in Multiplayer. I'm temporarily removing them from the creative menu in the next update most likely since they aren't very usable anyways.
- Added a dark variant of Worn Path. Get it by right-clicking Worn Path with a shovel and vice versa
- Made paths automatically change their bounds to a full block when a block is above, and back to it's former state when removed
- Added Black Bricks
- Added easter egg tooltips to Yellow Brick Road and Black Bricks
- Temporarily removed item propellers and the fan blade item until I have time to fix them.
The recent influx of downloads [1,157 downloads in 2 weeks compared to 290 with an idle period of 3 - 4 weeks] is absolutely amazing. It's motivated me to once again start working more on the mod and adding features like I did back in the beginning. I'm glad to create this mod for both you and me to use and enjoy to help stimulate our bases, buildings, cities, etc. Keep on pathing!
Also. A Spotlight would be appreciated. I've only seen one and it's majorly outdated as well as in Spanish, and I need something to put up in the top post. The reason I'm not putting this one in the top post is not because it is Spanish but because of the outdatedness of it all. While the mechanics have barely changed, I'd rather have a video which showcases all paths up to this current version than an outdated one. Thanks!
Was really happy to find another paths mod -- the Roadblocks guy seems to be MIA, and I like the mechanics of this one.
Hmm I've actually never seen that mod. An update hasn't came since 1.1.0 on March the 17th and my first update since then finally came out last night which enabled a few hidden blocks and fixed some server crashes. Hope you enjoy the mod. Also make sure to report any bugs you might find to my GitHub issues at https://github.com/Zundrel/Simply-Paths/issues. That's my most convenient way of keeping track of them. Thanks!
Sorry for making so many requests right off the bat, but what would go into making it so that you can walk straight from a path block up onto a stair or slab? Right now they work the same way soul sand does, which means it's hard to make a path that changes elevation that you don't have to jump on.
EDIT: Had a better idea. Would you consider making shift-right clicking on a path block turn it into a path slab? I guess it's have to be a pixel lower than a normal slab to work with paths, but it'd keep paths easy and "natural" to make.
