This is what a book looks like when placed in BiblioCraft's Desk. Ordinarily clicking on the book directly opens it, but in the case of a book from Enchiridion 2 nothing happens. Would it be possible to make it so books function within BiblioCraft desks?

I've been trying for an hour trying to figure this out by myself, so how you add a custom enchiridion book to the library? Could you post a working example using the example book please?
joshie, I have a problem. I don't know if you can help me. This is happening with the 'graphics of my mods > is it forge? [I'm using the latest]. Although, I installed the latest version of Enchiridion [for the Mariculture mod]....and that's when it started Can you tell me what it is? I know you are a Java expert, maybe you can help me!
Also, a great step forward would be to either allow the player to add books or automate the process, for example when the player first opens a book check it against the library and add it if it's a new entry.
Joshie, this mod has the potential to be a very useful for modpack creators or anyone who wants to help keep a handle on learning information while staying in game:
However, This seriously needs a user guide. I had to read down through these forums in order to figure out how to delete layers. (Just above)
Beyond that are we supposed to have the ability to edit the wiki? I wouldn't want the players I edit this stuff for to outright see how its all made and have to sift through your information intended for me, the wiki editor, to get to the information I want them to see.
Concepts are great but I believe some idea's can be fleshed out a bit more. If you'd like I can work on the wireframe for you or actually do an action instead of just complaining about whats wrong. Before I do that however, I need to know if your even looking for that type of thing.
if you call a 32" screen monitor small, you have measurement issues... >.> but thanks for letting me know you'll fix the scroll bars eventually. I like this mod being as I have it setup as a databank that I can view all of the other mod added guide books from without having to make them myself. also, I have tried having the mouse both in the canvas and on the scroll bar area, I'm assuming it could be because my mouse is usb rather than default (believe it or not, a usb mouse makes a somewhat different callout for mousewheel movements than the regular mouse port would, i know this for a few reasons i needn't explain)
I agree with you on the screen width. I have dual 24 inch monitors set for 1920 x 1200, and I use almost 1 1/2 displays to see the menu on the right. So it doesn't seem like it is 1000 pixels wide. There is some kind of weird resize going on. I make the Minecraft window smaller, and I see part of the menu. Then I drag it bigger, and it completely disappears. Seems related to how tall the Minecraft window is. If I stretch the window to full size (not maximized) and then shrink it vertically, at some point the menus appear and the GUI becomes usable.

You did notice that you can press H and a "wiki" book is displayed with lots of information on how to make books.
It does seem to be lacking some basic navigation and editing information, like the Shift+Delete to delete something. And for the life of me, I can't figure out exactly how the resize and move of stuff works
I am having trouble with books after I exit the game and come back in. I can edit them, it seems to save, the JSON has everything written in, looks correct, but when i go back into the game, the JSON file gets reset back to a brand new book state, losing all the progress on the book. Now I've backed up the JSON file hoping I could just overwrite whats in the config folder but it doesn't seem to make a difference. It's like whenever I open the book it's grabbing a brand new unedited book. I feel like I'm missing something. Any ideas?
Hmm, I've looked for about an hour, trying to find how I would add a book to my mod (Draco Animus) that I've got, and have it appear in the user's inventory when they start a new game. It will be an online version of the wiki pages we already have.
I'm having no luck finding how this works. I know that Mariculture does it. I tried to load the code for that in Eclipse, but that is another puzzle.
Anyone know where I can find out how to do this (I'm the main coder for Draco Animus), or point me to a simple example (other than Mariculture)?
You only have to find the correct event to put it in...
That could do it.
Ya, I was trying to decide when they get the book. One idea I had was to add an achievement that would also be what would trigger them getting the book. Not sure if that will work or not, as I haven't looked into it yet. The other idea was to just give it to them when the first spawn in a new world, although I also don't know how to do that, but can probably figure out a way to detect that. Probably just add a boolean that gets set and then stays set always and check that boolean value.
Enchiridion 2 - 2.0f
• Check if a book exists before overwriting it, if it does not exist, just add the book instead.

Hmm, here's the support for EvilCraft's Origin of Darkness book if anyone wants it, add this into library_books.json
Edit: You'll have to "earn" the book first before it is added into the library (by making it of course).

How do you go about resetting a player's library?
How do I shrink the Enchiridion 2 "help" menu?
It's far too large for the default client size.
I can't even see the entire thing with my client in full screen.
And the gui scale has no effect on its size.
No effect what-so-ever.

Minecraft Fan! And modder wanna be!
How do I delete a text or an image when I write a custom book?
Shift + Delete
This book is not in the Library.

This is a non-standard keyboard shortcut, which causes people an unnecessary search.
Suggestion:
Remap the default shortcut to be the delete key, an operation that many will expect and try early on when looking for a way to delete.

No. The reason it is that is because delete is used to delete text when editing. Obviously I would have made it just delete if it was viable.

Other nice keyboard combinations to have would be Ctrl+A to select text. Ctrl+Z to undo, but maybe this text editor doesn't support those?

Thanks, I'll look at both of those tonight, since they are both open source, hopefully I'll figure out how they did it.
