@swampertspawner Installing the 1.14.2 Fabric version works, so the only other mods you'd be putting into the folder is either the Forge or Vanilla which you don't need. Otherwise make sure to have the latest Fabric API build for 1.14.3 in the mods folder and install the latest Fabric installer and build. If you want the Vanilla version to work just double click it and it should install a profile for 1.14.3 you can play in Vanilla like Optifine does.
To my knowledge the Fabric version is mixin related I don't know if the Vanilla one is and the Forge one I don't think would be but it's just as easy to install into the mods folder.
@huhuck How are you trying to install it? The vanilla way with a profile like Optifine or as a mod with Forge or Fabric? Can't really help without knowing which modloader or what version of Minecraft your using can we now.

Okay, so I've only made this account just for the sole purpose of commenting on this thread.
I came here from TangoTek's simple wither farm design. And I downloaded this mod for 1.14 using a separate game version for just the mod and where I just use the fabric mod launcher to open it for me. And with both installations there was a problem.
For the launcher that was automatically created for the version of this mod I downloaded stated that the mod default was 1.14.4 and when launching the game I did get a little menu in the options for toggling different parts of the mod. However nothing actually happens when you toggle things. there are no outlines and no filled outlines of things like nether fortresses or slime chunks. So despite the fact the mod loaded, it seemed as if certain parts of it aren't compatible with 1.14.4.
I also tried doing it in 1.14.3 but same thing again it didn't do squat.
However when I launched the fabric mod launcher for 1.14.4 the mod did not load whatsoever. Because the mod isn't compatible with that version period. Which is the case with a lot of other mods that are falsely advertised for wrong versions. I have the Mod Menu for fabric downloaded and it doesn't appear in the list, despite being in the mods folder. Which means it is the wrong version. I don't actually know what version of the game the 1.0.13-1.4.14 version of the mod is compatible for. But I couldn't get it to work on the server I play on. Which is compatible for 1.14.4 and 1.14.3.
I'd have the assume this mod is client side. Because if it isn't, then I might know what the problem is. But that doesn't explain why it isn't showing up on the mods menu or functions not work. I have to assume the mod isn't compatible for 1.14 thus why 1.14 does not show up for what versions are compatible at the top of this post tho. The latest version being 1.13
There is controls for this mod in the controls section such as B by default = toggling the bounding boxes on and off while O = toggling the Outer Boxes, but if you referring to configs for the mod you can tweak those from the configs folder, not from Mod Menu.
I got this mod to work instantly compared to having it not show up sometimes by just putting the 1.14.4 Fabric version into my existing world of mods I spotlight I had no problems, so you'd have to show me how you set it up. Do you have Fabric API at all, maybe some code used in this mod and it is necessary, I don't know. What features are you looking for that might not be working/showing up, of those detailed on the mod page or even in the configs file? Without any screenshots or something it's difficult to assist, I'm very familiar with Fabric so maybe I can assist with this since the 1.14.2, 1.14.3 and 1.14.4 versions I've used any time the mod updates besides focusing on the next ones that come out each week to test out.
When it comes to servers I'm unable to answer that but I assume there may be older responses asking if it's client or server side compatible but if not then you'd have to wait for the creator to respond.

Yeah, I know about the controls which is what I meant about "menu toggling options" for the mod. I saw in the controls for pressing o and b to toggle but those inputs didn't change anything visually as no box borders appeared when I did so. It did toggle those options on and off but it didn't do anything other than that.
I have the fabric API installed. Which is needed for other mods which I have working just fine.
I downloaded the mod for 1.14.4
I put it into the mods folder for minecraft
And I have previously made a minecraft version for the Fabric launcher and downloaded the API which is also in the mods folder.
Voxel Map works just fine.
Durability viewer works just fine.
Hwyla works just fine.
This mod however doesn't seem to be recognized by the 1.14.4 fabric launcher.
And I made the separate game version or launcher, however you wanna call it, in case other mods were causing this mod to malfunction but that isn't the case either. I'm going to try reinstalling but if that doesn't work there's nothing you or I can do about it.
@derpy_einstein this mod is client side and server side. If you are running on singleplayer worlds only then it works as a client-only mod. If however you are connecting to a server (including multiplayer from another client) you'll need the mod running on the server too. This mod can be used on vanilla, bukkit, forge, fabric & rift servers (including multiplayer).
The fabric version for 1.14.4 works just fine (I rechecked it worked before writing this) and doesn't require fabric api. You can see the BBOR option on the Options menu and it highlights structures just fine in-game.
I've spent several years building & supporting this mod and don't ask for any financial support from it's users, so don't appreciate you jumping onto this public forum and criticizing the mod because you couldn't get it to work. In future can I recommend you be more respectful and request assistance instead as you're likely get a more favorable response.
Ah yes, this explains why it wasn't working on the server. Thank you for clarifying.
I'm sorry that I came off as abrasive. That wasn't my intention. I guess I could've worded my inquiry differently, but I was occupied at the time and the distraction made me forget to consider how the poster would feel reading it.
I tried to make my post more logical and detailed rather than a vague question so I guess that's where my priorities were out of whack.
@derpy_einstein Thanks for your apology - over the past week or so I've received hundreds of requests chasing when 1.14.4 support would be ready, I guess I was just feeling a bit under appreciated. Hopefully you can find a way to get the mod to work for your setup (like using a backup of the world to pre-populate the boundingbox cache or something)
I downloaded this mod and it works fine on my singleplayer worlds. When I log onto my friend's server the "b" and "o" buttons do not function. The "BBOR" button does however, indicating that the mod is properly installed. Why is the mod not functioning? Does my friend have to add the mod to the entire server?
I'm no expert here but from what I understand (until the developer can answer for you properly).
In LAN (both players need the same mods) or on servers (you need to have it on the server if a mod is server side, if it is client side both need the mod, similar to the LAN environment).
Try in a test environment for you to have the mod on the server (server side) and see if you both can have no problems with the session/others joining. If not then try having both players have the necessary mods for the modpack your using before joining the server (client side).
If there is questions that have been answered prior in this thread for client/server side use of the mod or it is mentioned on the mod page then you may have the answer your looking for.
@zaarstatic jump on the discord for more detailed help... but yes you need the mod on the server to get structures like you do on single player. There is a workaround that is described on the discord faq/tutorial channel... https://discord.gg/4ZJpJvh
Installing 1.14.3 on client still doesn't work for some reason; each time the error says it gives up when it tries to download the snapshot jar (https://github.com/irtimaled/maven/releases/download/org/spongepowered/mixin/0.7.11-SNAPSHOT/mixin-0.7.11-SNAPSHOT.jar); I can download it myself but now i dont know where to put this; it doesnt work if I put it in the version folder of BBOR, and not if i make a "mixin" folder in the libraries
