Could you do it independent of the Mine and Blade 2 mod and only be an addon to tinkers construct? Because the recipes don't really need of Mine and Blade 2 and I don't really like Mine and Blade. And, if possible add in an armor. But I love this mod!! =D

I'm not sure how I would do it without M+B. Armor is in the works.
Switched to the newest TiCon (build #902 on jenkins) for the thermal expansion-related recipes, and I'm now getting java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: gmail/Lance5057/com/RoundShield on startup, causing game to crash. I realise it's a dev build and so it's not exactly the most opportune time to update, but I doubt I'm alone in wanting both the thermal recipes and tinker shields. Any chance at all we could see a patch, or will you be waiting for it to push a public update whenever that may be.
This is because of a forge update, I'll be releasing an update that will fix it soon.
Your mod looks amazing, I can't wait to get to mess around with it!
Seeing as how your mod is based on making TiC and M&B:B more compatible, can you add an option to allow the use of all TiC weapons in both slots of the weapons tab? It seems strange to me that you can use only the longsword, and even that only on the main hand

That would be more Boni's job in Tinkers Construct itself. He fixed basic compatibility between the mods, he'll probably add the rest soon enough. Just have patience. On another note, I would also like to see BG2 weapons receive the treatment you've given to the shields! And good job on the mod in general by the way! I saw it in the new Yoglabs series, and since I frequently use both the concerned mods here, this was a must! Young, but very clear potential. Keep up the good work
posted this over in the main TiC thread, but it was suggested I post it here as well:
div>Quote from Demogarose i've been working on a concept for implementing Armor crafting into TiC, got it mostly fleshed out, including Modifiers and Recipes
could either be made part of the official TiC or as an Add-on, in either case I dont know the first thing about programming so I'd never be able to actually implement it myself
Anyhow here it goes:
Armor can be crafted from any of the currently available TiC materials using 2 new Parts: Straps and Small Plates
Straps can be made from Cloth, Leather, or Paper. Cloth straps are made from either 1 Wool for 2 straps, or 2 string for 1. Leather Straps are crafted 1 for 1. Paper Straps are made with a cost of 2 paper for 1 strap. Straps apply a modifier to the final durability of the armor, similar to Handle Modifiers. Cloth is the baseline, at 1x modifier, with Leather being higher and paper being lower. Paper straps will however bestow the Writable material mod. Strap modifiers would stack multiplicatively, so multiple paper straps for example would lower the durability of the final piece even further.
Small Plates are made with a Material cost of 2 per plate. The type of small plate determines the protection value and base durability of the armor piece.
Suggested Recipes:
Helmet- 2 Small Plates and X Straps
Chest plate- 4 Small Plates and X Straps
Leggings- 4 Small Plates and X Straps
Boots- 2 Small Plates and X Straps
this would keep the overall amount of Material cost for a full set the same as vanilla armors (24) with the additional cost and benefit of the Straps
as for Modifiers, I've come up with what I think are appropriate materials for all the vanilla enchants, as well as two somewhat novel ones of my own
Thorns - Cactus
Fire protection - snowballs
Blast Protection - gunpowder
Projectile Protection - flint
Protection - Iron Ingots or Diamonds
Respiration - Ink Sacks
Feather Falling - Feathers
and the 2 novel ones:
Dodgy - Enderpearls (1% chance per pearl to take no damage from a Projectile or Explosion, max 25 per modifier slot)
Retributive Ignition - Fire Charge (enemies that attack you are lit on fire for 5 sec per level, 1 per slot)

This is kinda what I'm already working on. Straps and small plates included. I'm not quite ready to discuss it in depth yet though, I want some of it to be a suprise.
Just a heads up, TiC is going to receive an update soon that will break Tinkers Defense compatibility. The TiC alpha is available on Curse right now if you'd like to take a look. Still no word on ExtraTiC, though Glassmaker just finished updating Atum so hopefully a release for ExtraTiC is soon to follow.

Thanks for the heads up, doesn't look like it'll be an issue to update for it.
I was wondering, Is TD compatible with iguana tweaks? If no should I bother you or boni to make it happen?
It is sort of, since for now the shield acts like a pickaxe if you were to use it for digging it would gain xp but wont from being used as a shield. That is on the list of things I need to fix.

Except they don't get XP from being used as a pick.
As for fixing it, you might want to switch them to be based off swords so users could get xp from bashing monsters with it.
So I only ask because sometimes modders disappear, but how goes the work on the mod and do you think you will have and update soonish? I like this mod a lot and I like some of the planed ideas.
last thing not sure if you have any idea or not but here are so armor types you can look at if you like

Light Armor
Padded, Leather, Studded leather, Chain shirt
Medium Armor
Hide, Scale mail, Chainmail, Breastplate
HeavyArmor
Splint mail, Banded mail, Half-plate, Full plate
Just some things i found so do what you will
I'm still here and I'm still working on it. Sorry it's taking so long for an update, I'm new at this whole modding thing and I'm learning as I go along. A new update should be coming soon, I just have one more thing to finish.
Ahhh ok! Thanks!

Yea. Hopefully ExtraTIC will update soon.
Sometime after this Sunday. Most likely before next Friday.

Tinkers' Construct adds the javelin and throwing knives.
