So yeah... I kind of have a mod called OreSpawn in my game, and I am making a mod that adds new food. Some of the food items that I am creating though are already in OreSpawn though. How would I go about using some of the items from OreSpawn to be used in my mod, for example crafting. If I want to make a pizza and use tomatoes from OreSpawn in the recipe for crafting how would I do that in my code? Import the code from OreSpawn or what? Not really sure, kind of new to modding still.
you could always set the orespawn mod as a pre-req for your mod
Yes, that's what I am planning on doing, but how do I use the items in the code of OreSpawn in my own code for my mod. I am not sure how to import, or even if I need to do that or what method or command I am supposed to use.
you would need an uncompiled version of the Orespawn mod itself in order to know the exact coding he uses. The problem with that is, unless there's an open-source version of the mod, you'd need to actually contact the mod creator about getting that coding. There are ways of uncompiling the mod yourself, but most of those uncompile incorrectly and horribly break the coding.
