Is the Exchange Orb supposed to be one shot/use per exchange? If so, it's hella expensive! else I have a bug. 1.8 version.

Turns out Exchange Orb does not have a bug. The problem exists with Eydamos's Backpack mod, he is aware of the bug and promising a fix soon. Until then it is suggested you don't use Exchange Orbs and buckets in the workbench bags.

The exchange orb has no durability (that's now a lie as i have added the ability to have durability, config option) and is returned upon crafting, which I will include in my video (coming soon!). What's the bug, I need more details than that!

Yeah, there was no error logs to present, and found out from Eydamos that the bug, well, he knows about it and is promising a fix soon. Until then if we have the backpack mod, we should refrain from using any of his workbench bags with your Exchange Orb.
can you add damage to the orb? After crafting it and using it, I found it to be very op, it's a lot like crack, can't stop using it, cause it never damaged out. So I disabled it for now in my pack. Yes, you are in my pack and your mod is fully accredited to this page.
Found a cosmetic bug, not sure what is causing it exactly. Somehow durability got turned off, so I turned it back on, when to use the exchange orb and it immediately went to an untextured model. the meta data shows ":11"

I think I might know what's going on. Is the orb still usable for crafting while in that state, or is it fully broken? Also, does a newly crafted orb have a broken texture as well?
It appears to be still useable. I logged back on and the texture was the one you designed. I used it again and then it reverted to the untextured model again. This time the meta value was ":2".

The mod has been updated to fix this bug, it was a 1.8 only bug relating to assigning textures to meta values, but i released a backup 1.7.10 version with the same changes to maybe prevent it happening again.

Found an issue, the Exchange Orb ignores the server's config for it. I have it set to durability 200 and enabled to true. Instead it's reading from the client where the durability is turned off.

This bug is currently being resolved as I move common code from my mods to a common-code central mod. This change will make all of my mods use the server's config all the time (single player is a server too, just using the client's configs). Look forward to that coming soon.

The mod has been updated to version 1.7 for Minecraft 1.7.10 and 1.8. This fixes config sync bugs and requires the installation of my code library MattDahEpic Core to run. The configs on the server are now set on the client when connected to that server, allowing each server to have different configs without the clients being required to have the same. This means that the server values must be validly set or all connecting clients will be disconnected. Single player is technically a server as well (since mc1.5), and it uses the client's configs. Also this update reorganizes configs, so they will be recreated on update, as well as adding a hard recipe mode which requires a nether star instead of a diamond (off by default).
Please put the dependency information and link in the first post. It was quite annoying figuring out which mod was crashing me because of a dependency I had never heard of. For anyone who may follow, here is the link to the dependency: http://www.curse.com/mc-mods/minecraft/229595-mattdahepic-core
Man! Great job on this mod! I've wanted another mod that was like this, but it was not 1.8 and was 3.8 MB. Way too big! this is really space friendly and a great mod! keep up the great work!

I have updated the mod (version 1.6) to add a durability config option, it's off by default. It should be updated on Curse soon.
Thank You, I got it and enabled the durability!
We're cooking with gas now!

Thanks. Also, can I get your formal permission for including your mods in my modpack at www.kreezcraft.com? see http://kreezcraft.com/1-8-forge-mods-list/ (exchange orb, mob drop exchange orb)

Ok, thanks for the response.

Randomly, I made this texture.
You can use it for your orb.
