While checking out some stuff with the Nether and BoP, I saw the stuff in the lava and decided to see what it is and what it's for and what not, with NEI.
I personally really like these unknown and underused mods which brings something different.
A lot of localization to fix and some tweaks here and there.
Also, when sleeping with an Extra Utilities sleeping bag, it sets my spawn.

I cant help but feel it's because of this mod.
There is an event hook to override sleeping so that beds only set spawn, likely this is also getting triggered by the sleeping bag, I should be able to add some sanity checks before setting spawn.
Also there is a config hook to disable the override, if you like the vanilla mechanic of skipping night.
Yeah, this is definitely WIP, and it'll probably be here for quite a while. However, I think this has a lot of potential as a mod and once it's cleaned up I think it can be a decent mod.
Yeah, this is definitely WIP, and it'll probably be here for quite a while. However, I think this has a lot of potential as a mod and once it's cleaned up I think it can be a decent mod.
Good luck!
Yeah, At this point its really a collection of foundation content, a lot of which is first draft or experimental. I'm getting ready to update to 1.8 and will hopefully push out a lot more of the features I have in mind after that.
Yeah I have not done any testing with BOP for about 90% of the current worldgen, I used to use that mod on a few servers but haven't tried to support it's biomes at all yet.
I actually want to increase the amount of grass, but I also want to rework the current worldgen config options, at the moment the grass isn't really used by any crafting so I could look at options there.
I had placed my [Flint] workblade into my inventory crafting grid and got this crash.
Another bug I got is that the flint blades take damage, and then cease to work.
Also, some oredict support for various recipes.
Sticks in various recipes and modded saplings for plant fibers.
In single player I wasn't to recreate either problem but I need to test on my server. Also it seems the crafting crash is in combination with bontania so I will add that to my dev pack. Are you on the latest version of Bontania, R1.3 151?
I was able to recreate the work blade crash with Botania installed, not entirely sure what's going on with that yet.
Also was the damage and loss of function the flint workblade or the really basic flint blades? I should give those a better name.
Not crash related but I was 'splorin' the nether and came across a bunch of your plants and what not.
As I go to break something with my hand, suddenly a horde spider came out of no where.
I did not know how jittery these things were.
Jesus christ how horrifying.
Lastly, nether plants and generation. Can you grow them? if so, how?
I have the Palm, and I noticed it makes planks, which is pretty awesome, so I want to make more, but without having to generate a lot of nether just to get a lot. I have two of the "food" plants, with the fleshy carrot and the melon, and I have no idea if they can be replanted. In terms of generation, does Sarsen stone have a specific biome or height it has to be?
In a previous world I was in a highland biome and it generated within the mountain.
Im currently in a modded Savannah, and havent encountered any. Or the Ironwood Tree, Im sure it must generate on the vanilla mountain biomes, right?
I fixed the flint workblade crash, it wasn't actually a conflict with Botania, but for whatever reason having that installed helped expose the problem.
Nice you might have come across a spider egg, they are going to get some adjustments so their attributes are more balanced, for example greater speed will mean weaker attack and health. But of course I still want them to be horrifying =D
I am adding a way to plant and grow the nether palm so that should be added by the next update. All the other plants so far are growable, some have to be harvested in a special way such as shears or silk touch, some have seeds, etc. I just added a system with nether earth which can be hoed and basically has the same functionality as farmland, it is meant as a transitional soil for growing certain nether plants in the overworld, currently the carrot and valus.
Sarsen has different generation mechanics depending on the biome, in terms of height and average quantity. It tends to generate rather high so often it will be visible on the surface, it is meant to be relatively common, forming is widely spread but very large deposits.
Ironwood will spawn in a lot of different biomes, including mountains, it's meant to be rare.
As I was going around fixing some Lang issues and changing some stuff, I noticed you packed some notes in the .jar.
(No really, stick with 1.7.)
But anyway, I noticed you also added the few recipes for some of the Pitted oven stuff.
Are there more?
And the whereabouts for Parrafin, Bitumen and the other liquids, how to make most of the Deco blocks, how to obtain a bunch of the gems and other items. (Though I did find a twilight pearl from squids.)
Im not into that "Try and discover it yourself!" kind of thinking. There is literally too many combos and variables to go through just to find out how a decorative block is made.
Also, config to disable Silver generation.
Yeah I am actually going to entirely change the way the silver ore works, so it either wont generate as ore at all or drop as a by-product. This will also remove its oredict compatibility.
Most of the custom blocks should show up in NEI, I still need to look at adding recipe support to the oven, etc.
What do you think of disclosing recipes through in-game books or notes that players would find or craft?

Thank you for the feedback!
Is there no other way of Generating your nether plants without all the grass?
Im hoping the config option means grass wont be everywhere if I regenerate my nether, though you should add a purely no grass option.
Good luck!
Yeah, At this point its really a collection of foundation content, a lot of which is first draft or experimental. I'm getting ready to update to 1.8 and will hopefully push out a lot more of the features I have in mind after that.
I appreciate the well wishes, thanks.
I will keep checking for updates
Shoulda did actual testing before making claims.
God damn I hate Biomes O Plenty.
Also 1.8 sucks, 1.7 is the hap.
Thank You very much

Crashes for the crash god.
Are you on the latest version of Bontania, R1.3 151?I was able to recreate the work blade crash with Botania installed, not entirely sure what's going on with that yet.
Also was the damage and loss of function the flint workblade or the really basic flint blades? I should give those a better name.
Thanks
