After thoroughly playing with this mod,I found myself quite attached to it and liking the mechanics that have been so far implemented;the tools have a vague feel to them much like the Tinker's construct tools, being customizable and immediately superior to basic ones, though the Temporal functions give them some of their own brand of fun, plus awesome appearance. I was surprised by the cross-mod work you've put in already, cobalt from Tinker's even works with mainsprings!
So helpful as the tool mechanic is,would you think of adding mining speed, mining level and attack information to the tools,as tooltips?
I also love the idea of being able to give the tools easily selected enchantments, although I suggest you only allow one or two levels of these enchantments(Sharpness, fortune, looting, haste for tools),then for the final teir switch to the pocket watch for these,if you could do it with silk touch, why not some of the others?
Have you considered blocks that will serve as alternatives to basic minecraft/modded blocks, for ore processing, cooking, creation of power that might be cross-mod,etc? Or even your own little touches outside of the overall scheme of the mod, like a custom food or just tiny, easy to use item for something really simple but infinitely helpful?
I showed this mod to some friends and they liked the borders around the brass block,so on their behalf I'd like to ask for more blocks with these borders or something similar(Chisel intregration, perhaps?)
Lastly,I think the idea of a clockwork rifle is wonderful! It fits the steampunk feel(loosely) and it could fire brass nuggets, along with temporal ones for special damage, like armour piercing or some kind of crazy timey-wimey effect.Plus,a rifle might be something to satisfy that "I want a gun in minecraft but some kind of silly modern fully automatic thing straight out of COD" thing(This might just be me)
Lovely mod,I hope it gets even better and soon, there's so much potential and a lot of fun in this so far, plus the snazziness of the giant clock and tools. Hope smashing bugs goes well and this mod gets additional popularity,to the level of common mods used in things like FTB
Edit: This mod is confusing at first, would you consider adding an ingame book or set of books to walk people through the functions, crafting, use of the blocks and the sand system?
Thanks, glad you like it. I do intend to add a variety of machines, but they aren't a priority right now. I do have a "time gun" of sorts in mind for the future, but again, it's not the current priority and likely will take some time to do correctly.
The current priority is to make the clockwork assembly table more simple and intuitive. I may end up making a guidebook, but that will be much later, if at all.

:O, so how's it going anyway Lumaceon? How long or soon can we expect more fun time twisting/continuum shattering toys to play with? If my friend and I are enjoying it just with the clockwork and timesand gathering basics now, I dunno how much more we'll be enjoying once you get something else thats epic out.

It may be a while before the next "big content" update. A rough idea of an ETA would be a few months.
Have you thought of more decorative blocks, like a vertical clestial clock face or fancy brass block? I'm thinking of making a clock tower out of brass, but nothing goes that well with the brass texture, (Except maybe the fiery ingot texture from twilight forest) and trying to make a functioning clock face with redstone is a pain.
This looks pretty interesting. Might I suggest perhaps adding some in-game documentation for the mod though, if it's not already added? Would make using the mod smoother.

#1 THIS MOD Looks super amazing, looks like on of the coolest mods i have ever seen.
#2 the death time sand thingy is a bit op, when in conjuction with blood magic. Basicly you get a few mobs, then you do the ritual of eternal suffering (blood magic) which basicly do damage to nearby mobs every so often, but then you use the death thingy which absorbs that damage and turns into timesand. But with blood magic the ritual of eterna suffering gives you lp, and with this would alos give you time sand. SO you would have infinate lp, and time sand because the mobs never die/
This person is talking about the Well of Suffering. And calling it OP is the same as calling ThaumCraft OP, because properly geared up flesh golems provide infinite LP as well.

If I'm rude to you, just tell me. Don't take it too personally. Well, unless you were being stupid. If you were, DO take it personally.

not anymore. I'm pretty sure Lumaceon was meant to have changed the mobs to actually properly die in version c cause he said it was a balancing nightmare...
How do you craft clockwork tools? The assembly table wouldn't accept the tools to be combined with the mainspring
In the clockwork assembly table, there should be an hourglass button on the bottom right. Click that, and place the tool on the left side, with the mainspring on the right (or swap the two, doesn't really matter). You can also try right-clicking a disassembler with the tool. Tools can't have more than one mainspring.

Check out my modpack if you are looking for a tough modpack, though its still having stuff changed here and there: http://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/deadly-encounters
Also using agricraft and pam's harvestcraft and want to fix the sesame seed issue? I know how to check my bio for link to see how to fix it.
Not on the normal crafting table, no. The 1.0C version introduces a special crafting table that has different modes for the clockwork stuff.
really now? guess i need to mess with that version again.

That's natural, they don't generate on a 1-to-1 ratio.
I cant seem to add the clockwork and mainspring to the tools... tried this with only your mod installed , and it still doesnt work

There was a new workbench added to the mod, but I don't recall the recipe. But that's what you use to add it now.

Very impressive mod, really has a beautiful steampunkish feel to it.
