it looks awesome! Mind if I ask what your plans are? do you plan to add more spawn structures? remove structures? Will we get to see the large cities again? or can we look forward to someones abandoned bunker?
Either way, I would love to help with ingame structures. I haven't the slightest on HOW to make them generate, but would be more than excited to build them for you

I have plans to get rid of JNBT library and make it a standalone mod. I plan to actually keep the cities and slightly improve the customization of the wasteland itself. (Also allow for custom biomes in the config)

That would be awesome! I wonder why it required JNBT... I know it had something to do with GIMoe and what he did... but either way. One thing I'd love to see in the configs, is the option to completely remove the spawners from the buildings... I know its there to make it harder, but when you have 100+ mobs in a single building, and the most valuable thing you'll find is maybe a single diamond, and two buckets of water, it really doesn't make it worth it... maybe if there was some sort of "cache" of food or something.
I don't want to put a bunch of stuff on you and overload you with ideas and stuff, but a water system (that can be toggled because of others available), as well as making water finite, so it IS a rare resource that should be valued when available. Maybe even make water not last forever for crops? requiring you to go out and look for more, encouraging exploration.
Again, I don't want to overload you with ideas and such, I just have always loved this mod, and wished there were a few things different...
I remember playing this mod years ago, back in 1.7.3 beta, I believe. I wish you luck in reviving it once again, 115kino.
Drakoflame, while those are neat ideas, they should be optional sub-mods at the very most. Changing the fluid mechanics to be finite would really destroy compatibility with other mods, and would be extremely difficult to tie to world gen. You'd almost certainly have to edit a config file to change between finite and infinite, which would be annoying if you play worlds other than wasteland as well. I think this mod works best as just a world gen, with other mods filling in anything else a player wants.
I believe there are a fair number of mods that already exist to make fluids finite in 1.7.10 - If you want to do that without having it affect other worlds, you can always make a new profile solely for wasteland worlds.

Wasteland mod is being setup for download right now. It, however doesn't have cities due to lack of permission but almost all the structures in the mod are kept. It will be standalone so you don't need JNBT anymore.
I think I can live without cities. We could always use something like Pillar to add structures or something. If you'd ever need/want help with bringing something like cities back, you have a HUGE following that would be MORE than willing to make structures for you! Also, be sure to make a new thread and link it here, then request that this thread be locked so... ahem... other people who don't take the time to look things up, can see that this is locked and under new management.

This seems like a very cool mod but I have both the wasteland mod and JNBT Library in my mods folder but whenever start a survival game I just spawn in a random place and there is no waste land am I doing something wrong?

Second: Mod in THIS version is dead. Go check link to this mod under new development.
Third: It's really stupid idea to download anything that's nto from here or curse. Mostly they throw whatever they have and just add numbers to make it look like it's compatibile with new Minecraft versions.
@Trigonia has been messaged about locking the thread, when they are next online hopefully they can resolve the issue. I gave them a link to this thread, as well as the new one. Here's hoping it doesn't take to long, and people read people check the back pages for links, as its pasted... 3 or 4 times in the past 2 pages...
