This mod started as a bit of a side project for a friend of mine and evolved into an extremely configurable currency mod for all to enjoy.
There are no crafting recipes but if people want them I will add them.
The idea of the mod is to add an RPG style of currency to the game that is not only simple but easy to configure to a server owners liking. They can be used to buy things from the server, used for inter-player trades, or anything.
This mod also only uses 1 item ID that can be configured as well. The 1.7.10 version will not have this option as IDs are handled behind the scenes now,
You can set the number of coins to use, anywhere from 1 to somewhere around 30,000.
The name of the coins can be configured to ones liking. Not only can the type of coins be configured but the actual name of all the coins can be changed as well. There are 2 parts to the name, the first part being the type. The types in the default config are Stone, Iron, Gold, Diamond, and Special. The second part of the name is the name itself, the default config has it set as "Coin". If you wanted to change this you "Chip", as an example, Your Coins would now be "Stone Chip", "iron Chip" and so on.
The color of the coins names can also be set. You can use 0-f for colors and k, l, m, n, and o may also be used for special text effects. Please see this site for more information.
You can also configure the color of the actual coins themselves using a 6 digit hex code, I personally suggest http://www.colorpicker.com.
You can add custom tooltips for each of the coins you wish to use.
Also you can now convert your coins to a higher or lower configurable amount. You can change the amount of coins it takes to convert a lower tier coin into a higher one and vise versa. This is done by holding the right mouse mutton and holding it until a puff of smoke appears. This time is also configurable. You can either let go and convert your coins into a higher tier coin or hold shift and let go and convert them into a lower tier coins. The 1.6.4 and later versions dont have this, just right click to up-convert and crouch right-click to down-convert. This isnt how I wanted it to work but I was having trouble with the old method and this is more reliable,

So...
This looks more or less like what I want for my server, I have only a simple question:
How would you craft them in-game without using Creative mode or something like NEI or TMI, or is that not available right now?

To be honest, I really don't care if you don't like what I said. I don't speak Idiot or Stupid. After all, they didn't come with the racial template.
It seems neat, and what's your stance on modpacks?

Sorry for the late reply, been busy. My mod is open source and open use. Use it and modify it anyway you feel like. As for adding crafting recipes, I was thinking of making the bottom tier coins drop from mobs, this is just an initial release of the mod. The initial idea was to have valuable resources that can be gathered in-world be exchanged for coins since theres a ton of mods that allow this, trade-o-mats as an example. Then have the players trade amongst themselves. If crafting recipes are desired, I can add one that can be customized.
Edit: Ill be adding config options for drops from mobs that can be turned on and off; and if I can get it working to my liking, a customizable crafting recipe
DoubleEdit: Mob drops are coming along nicely, should have a releasable version by the weekend!
V1.1 Adds mob drops! This is still undergoing testing but it works fine for vanilla mobs and animals. I am still currently testing this on mod added mobs and animals but it should work.
The ability to set conversion rates per coin.
For example...Coin A is worth $0.01 server currency
Coin B is worth $0.05 server currencyCoin C is worth $0.10 server currencyCoin D is worth $0.25 server currencyI am requesting you add the ability to do this so that I wouldn't have to disable your mod's built-in conversion and use sign shop trading.
I have literally been looking for something like this for years. I would like to thank you for all the effort you put into this. I am currently working on a monetary unit based loosely off of that which the Germans used to use, and having some good fun while doing so. I am of the same opinion as JormungandrMc in that this mod is absolutely ridiculously useful. Once again, thank you for making this possible.
