Magic Cookies is a mod that expands on the adventure of Thaumcraft 4.
This mod is compiled against Minecraft 1.7.10, forge 1231, Thaumcraft 4.2.3.5 and Baubles 1.0.1.10(Baubles comes automatically with Thaumcraft so usually you don't have to worry about that)
I'm not really sure where this mod will lead too eventually but until then it adds some new challenges for you adventurers to explore, for builders some nice blocks and for tinkerers some nice new tools and for alchemists some yummy cookies.
A basic summary of some of the things added(don't think this is a comprehensive list... I'm way to lazy for that :P) Important to remember though... I built this mod for the tinkering figuring out types. You will have to experiment with a lot of things to get everything or figure out what does what because I might have been somewhat cryptic in my descriptions...
Cookies! more cookies! yummy cookies! Mana beans are unpredictable... but what if you'd mix them with a nice chocolate chip cookie hmmhhh.... Might turn out great, might turn out as a disaster...
Golems... They have evolved! One has grown at peace with his inner self. Focusing on the higher wisdoms of life instead of labor. Another has grown fondly attached to you... some would say overly attached... and one... we shall not speak of the void golem... he creeps me out.
Shears of the shepherd, for when you want to take your pets flying in your thaumostatic harness.
Magic ice.. tough durable ice in which you can encase your enemies with the Heart of Ice focus
Grog... drink it, meet your drinking buddies, speak slurred language(the slurred language doesn't work on cauldron let me know if there are vanilla forge servers where it doesn't work either.) become drunk and hear and see things. Grog is great!
Fences.... walls, blocks, slabs... let your inner designer go wild
Golden bars, emerald studded bars, void bars, thaumium bars... you can finally have that creepy or luxurious look you always wanted.
Ladders... gold, iron, thaumium void... to suit your designing needs
The one ring to rule them all. It gives a nice vis discount and recharges ALL vis containers in your inventory indefinately. It does not need recharging but be warned... This is not for mere mortals but for very experienced thaumaturges!(or you like wasting resources, that's cool too)
There are rumors of a big entropy temple in the nether where you can walk in hallways and get lost in them... but those who presevere will find the fabled dechanting table... Be warned though... it will not come easely with you, and to those who use it... it does not take experience to use it... it takes your lifes blood and makes you repulsive. This is only for wise thaumaturges.
Shrines to entropy are strewn throughout hell. There is a rumor of a hidden room of loot and tons of quartz at the lava sea shrines... but there might be a cost to pay for all that quartz...
Void crystal..... infinite storage of a stackable item... just... to figure out how it works....
The Cat Ironer... Free rugs!
Your gain a green thumb when you eat a herba cookie... all those blasted weeds sprouting up all over the place!
Golems holding items trigger item updates. This means a void crystal will attract its linked item if a golem holds it... there might be some use in that with a hungry chest and a mob trap... go fancy :-)
Oh... and ehm... you might have to kill a tamed puppy.... it has to do with the void golem... better not to speak about it...

So I am in the process of recording some videos explaining things. Cookies can now be forced down someones throat giving them the effect
Improved worldstripper copy paste functionality. it's now theoretically(if ram allows) to copy unlimited chunks, and paste them without significant server load
Removed creative "experimental" focus I was fiddling with. You'll need to agree to the missing item in forge in existing maps by forge. Sorry bout that Keep an eye on that server console
Effect command. ops can now give my effects to people. tab autocompletes if you type it in the order the /mc help effect explains
Server thunder command. Ops can now easely grab the attention of everyone with a custom message. Really can't miss it hehe.

Fixed soulsaps not giving weakings and hellblooms giving both
Fixed entropy temple not properly saving as a structure in level structures data file.
Fixed mobs spawning all over the place when an entropy temple was loaded
Added a sort of barrier block. it's not entirely foolproof but if you need an area "blocked" off with invsible blocks this is the one . It's visible in creative.
Hitting cobble blocks, stairs or slabs turns them into blood drenched cobble, the more you hit them with it the more they get drenched until they are saturated
Fixed harvest golems being lazy bums
The worldstripper copy and paste code works via chunkloading. Make sure chunkloading is allowed and enough tickets are assignable(it will load one chunk at a time per player that it processes.) If chunkloading is not allowed you might encounter some unexpected(possibly fatal) behaviour.

Thank you for this interesting take on the dark side. I am looking forward to seeing where it goes. I just appreciate the idea that every time I smile, puppies will die now.
Interesting mod and looks like it has some very good potential so keep up the good work P.S. Maybe you could move the tab below the base thaumcraft tabs? It's appearing above all other tabs for me.
There should be no conflict whatsoever... they are totally different void golems codewise seen. And I didnt even know thaumic horizons had a void golem.
And this version of magic cookies isn't going to see updates. I'm focussing on the 1.8 version.
For some reason whenever I add Tinkers' Construct to a modpack with Thaumcraft, EvilCraft and MagicCookies, it crashes - however, it doesn't crash when MagicCookies is removed. I'm not sure if EvilCraft is involved in this in the first place, but the log does say "Caught exception from evilcraft". Here's the crash log: http://pastebin.com/ELkCwcQj
Have you tried without Evilcraft? Does it still give the same crash?
Something odd is happening, though. It's attempting to get EE transmutation recipes through Thaumcraft recipe handlers, yet I don't see ProjectE or EE or anything in your modlist.

Well, i've posted a long time nothing on patreon, sorry for that, it is because i'm working really my ass off to get a first release out for magic cookies forge 1.8.9.
Featuring in it will be classic golems, NPC's you can have conversations with, quests to complete, heaven to get to and explore.The first release will be pretty bare bones, just a few things, fossils that contain relics from an age long past(see above golem), a priest that wanders around that might have a quest for you, several mysterious books to find and hopefully some neat adventure.
As you can see in the image below, i've been working pretty hard, with 148 thousand lines of code modified or added.I thought you might prefer it if I waste my time on coding than writing a post here, but here you go :-) a small update on the progress.
And forthe builders under us, The strippers are back too, and now have a feature, that allow you to rotate builds.
I experimented with allowing 45 degree turns, but that turned out silly, and would squash or elongate some blocks, as you can see here. So right now only 90 degrees turns are supported into the direction you are facing.
It is calculated relative to the direction you were facing the moment you started copying.
Also, there are a few puny trees now
Also a few books with maybe a couple of clues to read
What does it do for actual gameplay: redsgreens priests can spawn in the world, and entropy temples can spawn, albeit it's just a structure, but it's a nice source of darkstone :-)
Also allows you to craft those hanging lamps.
The rest of the ingame items are at the moment only obtainable via creative, but the swords are fun :-)
if you want to plant the thera trees, plant them on a mycellium block, make sure there is PLENTY(+-10block radius) of free blocks around it and hit it with bonemeal to make it grow.
The leaves change colours the higher you stack them.

puppyblood has 4 different random display states
Unicorns will be added as a mob in magic biomes. I have decided that long time ago. I just need to work up to it.

There should be no conflict whatsoever... they are totally different void golems codewise seen. And I didnt even know thaumic horizons had a void golem.
