right clicking on a waypoint in the world map gives me the "share" option, same as a random coordinate. for me it does the same thing but sends additional info along (waypoint name and icon). no problems here clicking it to highlight or ctrl clicking it to open the edit waypoint screen.
are you not seeing the "share" option when right clicking waypoints?

I see I snuck a text formatting error into the share waypoints screen (the tooltip when hovering over buttons), only in 1.9.4. No breakage but looks bad, hotfix uploaded (1.6.11b), 1.9.4 version only
Hmm, i dont know if it was your new 1.6.11b update, but it seems to work now.
I installed everything correcly, the mod is in my mods folder and lite loader is working but the mod is not showing up in my mods list in game on the forge tab or the lite loader tab. the 12 other mods that I have installed are working fine but tis one just won't work, Am I doing something wrong?

Make sure to use the latest LiteLoader version (as of this post, build #13).
Make sure the file extension of the voxelmap is .liteloader and not .zip
I have a question/request for the VoxelMap-Mod. Is it possible to make an Update (in 1.9.4) wich includes the possibility of seeing (on a server) Players on the big Map (hotkey:"M"). And my second request is that if you are in a cave of mine that you can also see the explored parts under the Grasstop level (like with an adjustment bar).

hello! I could show other players on the world map, but the client doesn't know where they are if they are outside of the client's loaded chunks. Which is to say it wouldn't show them any farther away than on the minimap. The server just doesn't tell you anything about other players in unloaded chunks
Can't really show caves on the worldmap either I'm afraid, that information isn't stored. Unlike mapwriter, I don't save the entire chunk, just the top layer so I can re-create the map. Saves a lot of disk space. But there's only that one layer (the top) that I keep info about.
Those would both be very helpful for sure! But the first isn't possible at all (outside of your immediate area that's shown on the minimap), and the second I would have to store a whole lot more information than I do
We use Dynmap on our server (Spigot 1.9.4) and I only give the web address (port) info to admins because Dynmap once the world/s are fully rendered shows everything via a webpage in a Google style map including villages, temples, monuments with optional homes and warps with commandbook support. It shows players locations when they are in the game across all worlds ie Overworld, nether, the_end. The web page even allows chat from the web to the game all fully customizable.
Many servers like the one we use don't track or allow for unlimited storage space to a SQL database which is easy to setup in Dynmap to store the png files to.

Just out of curiosity, do you think there's a way people could share saved map files between them other than straight up copying and pasting the map cache files between computers? Or barring that, a way to force map the entire map within certain constraints? I'm a staff member on a particular server that has a 24000x24000 block map, and while I would like to have the entire thing mapped, I don't particularly relish the idea of flying all over creation to get it to fill it all in.
As far as sharing between people could go, I've got a couple ideas, though I'm not sure about the plausibility of them, especially since sharing even a single waypoint is difficult enough. First could be some sort of git integration that once you log onto a server, you specify a git repository to pull from and push to, which may or may not have map files already. This method would probably exclude waypoints (though as staff, I wouldn't want waypoints shared that way anyway). Another way would be if you made a server plugin to handle and cache map files itself, and the litemod would recognize this and have an option to pull map files from there (and maybe save them locally) or just use a local map that would only show where a person had been themselves.
Kinda rambling, but this is a great mod and I'd love to see it continue to grow.

Hmm, it seems that after this update, all the uppercase letters in waypoint names has been set to lowercase ("My base" is now "my base"), and the waypoint icons have been set to default (my Last Death waypoint which is a skull, is now a diamond (the default one)).
yeah I messed up with a stray toLowerCase() in reading stored values. It's also messing up the multiworld detection (it's potentially looking in both Worldname and worldname, and on Windows at least with its case insensitive filesystem that's just looking at the same thing twice. Thus it finds "two" matching worlds and bails out) Fix coming, just need to upload it

We had a drive crash so we're hosting at a new place. I've moved my map files fairly successfully, but when I go to some dimensions (like The End), I get an Unknown World notification. It says to select the world from the Multiworld screen, but there are choices in there like "079d772b-7d2d-4783-8346-cdcbf45722" and so on as well as worlds that have actual names.
We have 7 total worlds/dimensions and it's giving me 6 choices in the Multiworld selection screen, so I'm not sure which one of the weirdly-named files is which and what is missing.
I'm having a problem were it does not display waypoint names unless I hover over it, only the icon. Waypoint names is already on so I don't know what to do...
1.10 has only just been released. Now we have to wait for MCP to be updated to 1.10, then for Mumfrey to update Liteloader to 1.10 based on MCP, then for the dev to update the mod based on the updated Liteloader. My advice? Be patient -- it can take a while.

I have run into another problem I cant down load it form the lite loader web page. it brings it up but there is no download button.
I figured out an easy to do it. I just downloaded the voxel mod pack and it worked fine.
