Well i guess you dont know that there already is clone of RP including everything you mentioned.
Its called Blue Power mod.
Didn't know about that one. Still looks to be missing some things. Also it's a bit of a worry that they seem to be using their own multipart system instead of FMP -- not sure how that bodes for interoperability with other mods. Still, I'll check it out, thanks.

This was one of my pet peeves with Red Power. The author refused to give access to the open community the ability to extend her covers. At least with Bulid Craft, mod authors were allowed to create their own facades and such. This is one of the reasons why I stayed away from Immibus mods. Immibus questioned the need for FMP when people can use his own cover multipart mod.
FMP is pretty much open to anyone and can be integrated with your own mod. It won't go away when the mod author disappears for a year at a time. This is also one of the reasons why I haven't really adopted Blue Power in my own custom pack.
As for the missing items, I would think that integrated circuits would be very welcome. The only mod that has decent circuit integration is Minefactory Reloaded's rednet system. Combined with Misc MFRCircuits, I'm able to build my own custom farm controllers without the need to create an Open Computer or Computercraft LUA based program. The idea of placing them on circuit boards with Project red wiring would be very intriguing.

They are Making their own system, but all the stuff is compatible with FMP. I have been testing it out In single player and was happy that all the stuff worked as expected.
Also been watching one of the devs streams and they have some pretty cool things coming down the line.

Which version were you using? I tried the latest version as of a couple of days ago, but maybe it's too bleeding-edge -- a lot of stuff I tried seems to be disabled or buggy.
In any case, there still seems to be quite a lot missing from Bluepower as yet. I'll keep an eye on it, but I think I'll continue with my current plans for now.

Could you make your own creative tab for your mods items please? Makes it easier in creative finding all the stuff in this mod .
After updating project red and blue game sudenly crashing with that thingy http://pastebin.com/iLenaiUN i using dns techpack with gregtech and archimeds ships
You don't seem to have the Illumination module of Project Red installed. I forgot to mention that as a dependency.
PR already has bus input panels but they are not nearly as useful (and also a bit buggy).
Your input panels work perfectly except for 2 things:
1) Looking directly at panel (i.e. when it shows hitbox) does something weird to the sky (see attached images).
2) Label length really needs to be limited. Characters floating in mid-air do not look right. And too long labels crash Minecraft client.
50 characters is a reasonable limit I think as 50-char label stands out 1 block at most and limiting length to 7 to keep label on the panel makes no sense.
Edit: my crash report for too long label text:

Everytime I accidentaly left click it it crashes me to desktop, can you fix it please? Also wouldn't be easier if we could paint the control panel slots so that would represent the color of the wire? Remembering the color scheme is kinda hard.
Also is this addon open source? I'd like to use it on my modpack im developing on FTB.
I don't suppose it would be possible to allow signals to pass both ways in the Rednet<->P:R adapter?
It would be difficult. You can't just blindly relay all signals in both directions, otherwise the adaptor ends up powering itself in an infinite loop as soon as one side turns on. I'm not sure it's impossible, but I haven't thought of a way to make it work yet.
That's strange, it's working fine for me. Are you sure you've got the recipe right? Note that it's made from a hollow cover, not an ordinary one.
I'm working on a fix for that.
You need to put the saw in the top left corner and the hollow cover in the middle.
(Sorry about that -- my custom recipe class doesn't yet have all the niceties of the standard one.)
Yes, I'm currently working on a pipe system that's more like the old Redpower pneumatic tubes, because I miss the simplicity of them.
Some other ideas I have:
* More missing things from Redpower - block breakers, deployers, sorting machines, electric furnaces...
* Circuit boards - for making more compact logic circuits. Like a control panel except you put logic gates and wiring on it.
The lamp should light up in response to a signal coming in on the appropriate wire of the bundled cable.
Didn't know about that one. Still looks to be missing some things. Also it's a bit of a worry that they seem to be using their own multipart system instead of FMP -- not sure how that bodes for interoperability with other mods. Still, I'll check it out, thanks.

Yes, that's fine.
When you post a mod: "No pics no clicks" and "MCreator = bad ~99% of the time"
Don't forget to read the crashlog before reporting the crash. It might tell you why it's crashing.
Sorry if my spelling is bad, I'm learning english...

Right-click on a control panel space with a piece of charcoal to change labels.
Spray paint is for changing the colour of the miniature buttons and switches. Crafting recipes for doing this are shown in the documentation.

Edit2: the sky color is bugged during day too (but almost unnoticeable), both on nVidia and Intel GPUs.
Edit3: Maybe its possible to clip label text to panel bounds when rendering in addition to limiting its length?
I just love this addon! Even though Project Red is losing popularity, I think it is genius.
I have a critical bug report though:
http://openeye.openmods.info/crashes/a081da31e9da685021bf64a08f83de08
Everytime I accidentaly left click it it crashes me to desktop, can you fix it please? Also wouldn't be easier if we could paint the control panel slots so that would represent the color of the wire? Remembering the color scheme is kinda hard.
Also is this addon open source? I'd like to use it on my modpack im developing on FTB.
Keep the good work!
It can be useful to allow a label to overhang the panel a little. It doesn't look bad as long as you place a suitable block next to the panel.
I'll look into the crash and lighting problems as soon as I get a chance.
