It seems like the chisel mod I was given is the same as the Chisel 2 mod. It didn't even ask me to confirm missing blocks and my world is fine. I wanted it so I could use MoreChisels.
I think it IS the same engine for chisel as well as block names, it's made so you don't lose anything in your world, was the same with me and my modpack.
Do you think you could add the fully sided logs that are available with world edit? perhaps make it coded to be compatible with any log. (take side texture and put it on top, etc.)

This is the latest and current Chisel project, for 1.7.10 and above.
So the best thing about chisel (in my opinion) is how the blocks link together. I LOVE the cobblestone stuff, not just because it's cheap, but because it forms really cool patterns. I can have a layer where it all flows like one continuous path, to form a cool outline for the building. Really adds to the depth of the buildings.
Problem is, cobble is just about the only block that really does this! Is the newer version of Chisel doing this more with other blocks? I see loads of blocks that it "should" work for, but it just makes basic standalone blocks (the factory blocks are a good example). I would absolutely love it if there were more blocks that flowed together nicely.

Hey there! I'm a big fan of the Chisel mod, as it brings in themes that are hard to represent with vanilla blocks on a multiplayer server! But there was always something missing for my designs, something neither scaffolding nor metal panels could not properly replicate in place. That missing item was I-beams! Chisel has no proper texture for such a thing, and exposed beams are commonplace in many modern structures, so I've made a gray template texture for them that can be recolored to match with specific metals and alloys, or themed to match the Factory or Laboratory sets. I'm certain it's not set up in a way Chisel can currently use it, but it's just a base to start with to expand or remove things from:
And here is a simple render of the i-beam textures as blocks and color graded to red:
And with that, I hope my contribution helps in some what further the range that Chisel can cover in other people's creations!

I've tried to disable this setting in the config, yet the block description is still there.

i noticed the default cobblestone haz the id "4" ... but if i put some other cobblestone blocks into the chisel to make vanilla cobblestone, i get a vanilla cobblestone block with normal texture but a other ID i cant stack both vanilla cobblestones together but fortunaly i can smelt both to stone
now i wanna make some dacite cobblestone with chisel from other cobblestone types which are alle from the underground biomes construct mod. normaly the dacite cobble stone block haz the ID "8625:7" ... see attachment 1
if i now chisel some other cobblestones with the chisel into dacite cobble ... i get a dacite cobblestone with the ID "8625:32767"
and i can't stack that dacite cobble with the original dacite cobble and i can 't smelt it to dacite to make bricks of it
the thing, that i can't make bricks with the chiseld dacite cobble is the actually problem in my mind. althrough i have the possibility to make dacite cobblestone with the chisel, i need to find naturaly dacite for making bricks of it.
is there anything, i can do to fix this? or can you help me to fix this?
I've noticed an odd rendering bug in 1.7.10 with Waterstone, in that when it is placed next to another solid block, you can see right through your world as if you had an X-Ray mod installed. This is most obvious with the Water Panels as these have the largest surface area on their block faces where it is transparent. This does not work with any microblocks, like covers.
I'm playing on the FTB Direwolf20 1.7.10 modpack, which has version 2.9.4.10 of Chisel 2 in it.

What's wrong with the creative tab? If I type something into it EVERYTHING vanishes and I cannot get it back. What is the fix for this?
Edit: It's an NEI conflict. Which would also explain why NEI itself is being a PONCE.
