yShaders - Shaders for Macs and computers with Intel Graphics! [DISCONTINUED]
Poll: Out of five, how would you rate yShaders?
Ended May 2, 2015
Ooops forgot to mention that im using a 64bit.Thats for 32bit..so I install the latest 64 drivers and....IT WORKS OMG IM SO HAPPY GETTING 15-27 FPS
Updated to version 1.2! The new version provides a graphics upgrade to those using the High and Ultra editions!
1. I also used to get that on my old MacBook with nVidia graphics, but since I got my new MacBook Pro with Intel Iris graphics, water shaders have been just fine. I do recall one shaderpack causing "chunk lines" on my machine, but I can't remember which one. As far as I can tell, this has something to do with your GPU. The next version of yShaders will have a brand new water shader, so maybe that will help.
2. If you could post some screenshots of your game, that would be very helpful. Anyways, you should be able to make the shaders look a bit better by increasing the "ShadowResMulti" option in the shaders menu. That will sharpen up the shadows quite a bit. Turning on "CloudShadow" will also help. The most important thing, though, is that you have Smooth Lighting set to maximum. This increases the quality of the shaders quite a bit, and is the single most important option to have enabled when using shaders.
Using a resource pack can also improve the looks of shaders. I personally use Faithful 32x, a resource pack that increases the resolution of textures while keeping the "Minecraft" look. This can improve the shaderpack drastically. I would also recommend you use the Bloom Lighting resource pack, which improves shaders a lot, and even improves the way Minecraft looks in Vanilla!
If you could post your computer's specs, I would be able to help you in more detail. Simply click the in the top left corner of your screen, and click "About This Mac". This will open up a window with your computer's specs. If you could post what it says there, that would be a great help.
Edit: The issue is now fixed as of 1.3.1.
I'm using the medium version of the shaders on Minecraft 1.7.10 with Optifine
I'm running Intel HD Graphics 4000 and Intel Core i5 Processor
I get about 10-30 FPS
I'm using the Choma Hills Texture Pack
Here is the effect of this in the ocean
In the meantime, if it really bothers you, I'd recommend another shaderpack. Paolo's Lagless Shaders are good, and actually have graphics that are on-par with the High edition of yShaders.
Edit: The water bug has been fixed as of version 1.3.1.
Thanks for that! The bug is now fixed.
The next major version uses a modified chocapic13 v4 water shader, so that bug fix will be redundant by next release.
What do you mean by "Combine it with MacOSX Low? Also, it would be a great help if you could tell us what OS you're using, your computer specs, your Java version, etc.
Edit: Spoke too soon about the water bug, its still here. Im gonna try replacing the file like robo said, and see if that works. If you are wondering, my graphics card is Intel, not nvidia.
The next version of yShaders will have brand new water shaders, hopefully fixing the water bug that has been such an issue. I hope it's not too immersion-breaking for you to abandon shaders, though!
For now, you could try updating your graphics drivers, see if that helps with the water bug.
Im playing on a mac, so no updating drivers for me I did replace the water shader, and it now works quite fine. I cant wait for your next release! Do you have an estimated time it will be released?
I use minecraft 1.7.2 version and Optifine HD U D4
My graphics software has been updated, but it still same
What should I do to get better graphics?
