I'll be updating my LiteLoader mods to 1.8 this week. I rarely if ever check these forums, please direct all comments and/or requests to GitHub as detailed in the original post.
I will not be backporting to any version prior to 1.7.10 at any point. However, if someone were to edit this *open source* mod to achieve compatibility and submit a pull request, that would be acceptable.
noticed this doesnt work with vanish no packet or if you negate the particle
effect in essentials will there be a fix coming soon ?
VanishNoPacket prevents the entity data from a vanished player ever even making it to your client (hence "no packet" in the name), so this would not be possible.
Regarding Essentials, I would need a better description of the issue you are facing to be able to offer any help.
It does not currently allow you to see players in spectator mode (while you are not in spectator mode). The 1.8 update for Omniscience was compatibility-only, not a feature update.
I don't agree with your reason for wanting it (f*** dupers; I won't cry when you get banned), but I will look into it to see if it is technically possible.
It really depends on whether or not your client gets sent the spectator entity information (e.g. it is 100% impossible to see players vanished via VanishNoPacket).
I did some digging and some testing the other week, and it appears that no data concerning spectators is sent from the server to non-spectator clients. This means it is impossible to have Omniscience make spectators visible to you. You're out of luck.
During the investigation, however, I noticed a potentially useful feature and added it. Normally only accessible when in Spectator mode, there is a hotkey that highlights all players in the field of view. I have modified it to allow players in any gamemode to use it, given they are not disallowed the permission. Check your key bindings in your settings, this feature may be unbound by default.
After figuring out his code, I ported it up to liteloader 1.9 , which can be downloaded here. I've also set my computer to compile a version for 1.9.4, but as I've got to go to work, that version won't be available until later tonight.
EDIT: I've finished updates for 1.9 and 1.9.4, but with how gradle works, I've not been able to get it to use its lang file properly, so the messages in its config panel show up as things like "omniscience.configpanel.spyentity.text"
I'll work on trying to fix this issue, but as is, it's intuitive enough that I feel like those of you who really want it can put up with it.

You are right! My bad. But there is so much reading and looking through comments just to keep your server and minecraft updated. I sometimes get a bit tired, and this was one of the times.
Thank you very much for keeping your mods up to date for us. Just as hard as it is to find and wait for updates for us users, it must be even harder for creators to get everything up to date after a new minecraft version comes out.

As an Admin and Builder i like this mod so much. unfortunately is the mod not available for 1.9.4.

He shouldn't need to, liteloader can be run inside of forge.
