As soon as the mod gets Primitive Mobs support(which, judging by your updates, seems fairly close) I'll give this mod ago, as I'm having trouble setting the spawning rates for it. Trying to 'replace' Vanilla creepers with rocket creepers(More explosions!), replace half of the skeleton's population with skeleton warriors(More death!), and actually get to see an insect in my world for once XD. I think I spent a total of 5 hours or so, just altering the configs, loading up minecraft, and closing it with disappointment. Definitely have high hopes for this mod/pre-loaded configs!

What do you mean this mod? It's just a pre-made config..
If you are talking about JustAnotherSpawner, it already support "Any" mobs added by other mods.
What you want to do is fairly pretty simple to do...
Load Minecraft with Primitive Mobs installed and JustAnotherSpawner, close the game after loading a world.
Go to minecraft\config\JustAnotherSpawner\WorldSettings\BASIC\DEFAULT\SpawnListEntries
and do the following.....
Open Vanilla with Notepad++ and change for creepers, EG:
"Arctic": {
"Weight-PassivePackMax-ChunkPackMin-ChunkPackMax": "100-4-1-4"
to
"Arctic": {
"Weight-PassivePackMax-ChunkPackMin-ChunkPackMax": "0-4-1-4"
The first number is the Weight (It choose a mob to spawn base on this value, higher = more chance to spawn.
Second number is Max Entity to spawn in the world total (exceed will despawn base on despawn setting)
The third and last number goes together and what they do is control how many of that mobs will spawn when loading new chunks.
It's not that important....
So you would do that for all biomes group, you can use this config (CorvConfig) but I would recommend starting with a new one if Primitive Mobs is the only mod you are adding with custom mobs...
For Skeletons in Vanilla and Primitive Mobs Skeletons to spawn at equal rate, you want to set their Weight to the same value..
I don't recall what Vanilla Skeletons spawn rate is but just copy the value to Primitive Mobs and the spawning will be 1/2 to spawn Vanilla or Primitive Mobs Skeletons.
If you don't want to use the other mobs from Primitive Mobs or you want to use one, just don't forget to set their Weight Value and make sure they have their spawning set for each biomes you want them into.
AND BEFORE YOU DO ALL THIS!
Go to your Primitive Mobs config folder and open up spawn_rates config and changes all the entries to values to " 0 " (zero).
If you don't, Primitive Mobs will control or confuse the spawning system.
You also do this for all mods you have installed with mobs if you don't want spawning conflict.
If you need help just comment here and i'll try to help you. It should be enough information for you to figure it out on your own

Thanks, I really appreciate the fact that you had actually took your time to help me, since I'm helpless with configs... Thanks, it does mean a lot.
Anyway, I have two mods that isn't 'registered,' as in the config downloaded doesn't include them,which is Mowzie's Mobs, and Mutant Creatures. I disabled the mobs spawning in their own config file, how can I enable them so they can spawn?
Also, since I'm getting lost in the config, where can I adjust the rates for Mo creature's mobs? I like to disable some mobs, and increase some hostile ones, such as rats and wraiths.

Yet again, thanks for helping me
Well if you follow the directions above that should be quite simple to do...
But anyway here we go again!
After adding the 2 mods (Mowzie's Mobs and Mutant Creatures) you first want to to load a world so the mobs get registered in the config files of JustAnotherSpawner.
After that, Go to minecraft\config\JustAnotherSpawner\WorldSettings\BASIC\DEFAULT\SpawnListEntries
and do the following.....
Open up the config for Mutant Creature or Mowzie's Mobs, you will do the same for both.
Look for the mob entry like in the above example..
Example:
"SPAWN_LIST_ENTRIES": {
"AMBIENT": {
"MoCreatures.Ant": { <----------------------- THE MOB YOU WANT TO TWEAK
"Arctic": { <------------------------------------- THE BIOME GROUPS THE MOB SPAWN IN
"Weight-PassivePackMax-ChunkPackMin-ChunkPackMax": "0-4-1-4" <---------------------------- The Spawn Weight, Max Number Entity Limit for this mob and the last 2 Numbers are for chunk loading spawn.
Do set the weight and Max mobs for each biomes. Use NotePad++ again and use the Replace function.
You will do this for the config of each mods you're adding.
To increase spawn rates for Mo'Creatures, open the config in the same path stated above, change the first number to increase the change for this mob to be chosen during mob spawning (that's the weight and it's different for each creature types, meaning if you set 10 for Birds *Ambience mobs" and Creepers to 100 "Monsters mobs" you will still get birds spawn because they are in different classes.
To completely disable a mob spawn, you can do 2 things.
First, go in the same config file as above and set the first number to "0" and this mob will not be picked in the spawning.
Second, go to minecraft\config\JustAnotherSpawner\WorldSettings\BASIC\DEFAULT\EntityHandlers
open up the Mo'Creatures config file and change
Example:
I used to have Custom Spawner but it created all kinds of problems so I was told to try JAS. Which I did with your config. Which I setup as you specified.
But now I have birds and all kinds of animal on Mars and other Galacticraft planets.
How could I change this?
Thanks

Could someone please guide me towards maybe an example of turning off mobs for specific dimensions. In this case Galacticraft.
There's absolutely nothing on the web.
I'm pretty useless with this mod, but it separates things into biomes, right? The galacticraft dimensions consist entirely of biomes that don't appear elsewhere. If you create a biome group for MarsFlat, MarsHills, MoonFlat, etc... (whatever the names actually are), I believe you could then set up spawning for those biomes. I'm not sure what all the different biomes are though. If you have NEI, go to your Inventory > Options > Tools > Data Dumps > Biomes, and it should print out a list of all of them. I think they'll be in alphabetical order by mod name.
Sorry, I'm still trying to learn the JAS code (without much luck), so I can't get specific.
Works amazingly. I had only one minor crash.........Which mo creatures mob is causing the error? I must have made a mistake in the (jas) file and don't know which creature it is.

I'm a bit confused on the difference between the BASIC and DEFAULT folders (under WorldSettings). The JAS wiki isn't terribly good at explaining which is used for what.
so i downloaded this mod, followed all the steps until when it said to do /jas killall, but the problem is it is a survival world with no cheats so it won't let me use the command. will the mobs still spawn correctly or not? thanks for your help. -genesis

Does anyone know how to fix spawning in the Wyvern Dimension from Mo Creatures? I went there today and initially it looked normal. There were some wyverns flying around but very very quickly the wyverns despawned and an overworld set of creatures took their place, including hostile mobs.
Hey there, just wondering if I could get some clear instruction how to tweak these config files bit to reduce the spawns of some creatures and increase some others. For example, Dolphins and Sharks are a bit out of control in some areas and I'd like to reduce their spawn rates by half. What files am I looking for? Is it the files in the "SpawnListEntries" folder and specifically the MoCreatures file that I'm editing? If I reduce the weight number by half, would that do what I want?
Doesn't matter what the press says. Doesn't matter what the politicians or the mobs say. Doesn't matter if the whole country decides that something wrong is something right. This nation was founded on one principle above all else: the requirement that we stand up for what we believe, no matter the odds or the consequences. When the mob and the press and the whole world tell you to move, your job is to plant yourself like a tree beside the river of truth, and tell the whole world — "No, you move
did they work? Nice i used to play with this ones on a big modpack i had.
