Is it OK to update this mod on an existing world that was running the previous version?
Edit: I will of course do a backup of the world folder before I upgrade
A backup is always a good idea It *should* be compatible with the older version. However, if you changed the config file any, you might have to update it after you install the new version because I re-arranged some of those values.
Getting this error while wondering around in the world using your latest build.

It's not preventing anything (that I know of), just spamming the console while in world.

I'd like to suggest that you add a user configurable rarity to all items added by this mod. That way server owners have more control over their worlds. Great mod BTW, piratey things are always welcome.
Is there anything specific that you are doing in game that you can remember to when that error is thrown. I thought I had got that bug. I am no longer able to reproduce it on my machine.
Well, it would help if I looked at the right log file. Anyhow, NOW it's fixed over here, so I guess I'll be releasing version 2.1.1 soon. Sorry about the mix-up.
Ok. I updated again to Version 2.1.1. This should fix that "A TileEntity type com.someguyssoftware.treasure.tileentity.SkeletonPlaceholderTileEntity has throw an exception trying to write state." error.
Download Version 2.0 for 1.7.2

just a question
Well, I believe yours was the only submission, so you won!
Thanks for reporting the bug. It looks like an easy fix, something I overlooked. I should have an update son.

The vanilla chests were meant to be empty - they were suppose to be decoys. However, maybe I can look into making them minor treasure chests.
Ya, I noticed that as well. It will be fixed in the next minor release.
