The minecraft version is 1.7.10 If I download the latest version of the mod will it download it automatically to my minecraft forge or where? Sorry I'm not very "experienced" in this.
I think you should read an article about mod installation. You can find it easily on Youtube or Google.
// Put hungryanimals.jar file into your mods folder
your mod seems amazing. However, I'm hesitating in installing it because the version 2 is still indev. Do you have any news about the dev ? Is it stable enough in 1.7.10, and do you plan any backporting of your latest 1.8 version ?
Because, you know, as many mods are still in 1.7, a lot of people don't play in 1.8 now ...
Thanks for reading
I think it's okay to use 2.0 in 1.7.10. However in 1.8, there are some features should be added more.
I already backported most features to 1710 except machines and I won't backport machines to 1710 from 18
Is there any possibility to add an option to disable the need to tame animals? Or at least a configurable probability for the wild animals to eat the fallen food? Because, you know, I don't have that patience to wait for the animals' will to eat the food, and I lost a cow that starved to death because it didn't wanted at all to eat the lots of food I threw. So some option to customize it would be great.
Hiya! I wanna change the config so all the animals make less excreta and manure everywhere, I know it has something to do with excretion factor or something, Im just not sure how to change it or where in the code to change it. Also do I have to change each animals config file separately?
A picture of where to write it into the code may be helpful too Im so terrible with these config files XD;; sorry!! Im using hungryanimals-1.7.10-2.0.alpha07 thanks again! I love your mod!!
Our family is enjoying this mod very much! But it has been making our server crash occasionally, and I wanted to let you know. It seems to be excreta-related, so if it becomes a problem, we can perhaps avoid dealing with that.

Hey this is an awesome mod! I like everything so far but noticed wool is missing from the sheep config. I added the line ((minecraft:wool),1,3) under the random item drops section but sheep still produce 4-5 wool. I changed it to ((minecraft:wool),10,20) and now sheep drop 12-18 which makes sense. I'm currently using hungryanimals-1.7.10-2.0.alpha01.

A Sheep drops wool whose color is as same as the sheep. This means that drop of wool is managed differently with other random drops and this can not be modified by configuration. Therefore, sheep drop 1 wool, always. If you add wool in HungryAnimals' config, sheep just drop additional wool.

Did you have any luck finding the problem? We just had it happen again. It doesn't happen often, but when it does we have to kill and restart the server.
Hello,I like very much your Mod,It's very real!:D
I want to reprint this Mod to the Minecraft Chinese Forum(MCBBS) and translation this Mod(zh_CN and zh_TW),I can do?
Are there any versions of this mod that make it so that horses run away and behave like sheep, cows, pigs, and chickens? To me, it seems more realistic that wild horses would flee from players. I also can't figure this out, but do horses breed when left on their own? I was just looking for a mod so that feeding and breeding horses was more realistic. One more thing, is this compatible with HerdCraft?
Hello! I really love your mod! This mod makes animals more realistic and now I have the incentive to spend time on them.
I think I discover a bug of the latest version 2.0 alpha07 in Minecraft 1.7.10. When the trough is half-emptied (some of the food inside has been eaten), I fill the trough with some food but then discover that the number of the food in my backpack does not decrease. I wonder whether this is a universal bug or it just happened in my pack.
Loving the improved animal breeding / farming dynamics that this adds and been looking for a true to life manual process of getting saltpeter, so the fermenting blocks are very cool! I want to use this in realistic survive and thrive modpack I've been working on, but we've been getting this crash pretty really frequently so its a no go at the moment.
Technically it doesn't crash our server, just kicks the person off with "A fatal error has occured, this connection is terminated", but once it happens once, it just keeps kicking them every time they try and log back in, making the world pretty much unusable after.
Any idea what might be causing this, from this excerpt from the server log?
Using version 2.0 Alpha 7 for 1.7.10 (assuming thats the latest 1.7.10 build?) on the latest Forge (tried multiple ones including most recent and the latest stable 1558, same result.

You said you won't backport machines to 1.7.10. That's sad, because most of the mods I'm using don't have 1.8 version. And because of the stupid config of the required Custom Ore Generation, I can't use Harder Wildlife, to make animals more complex. :/
I think you should read an article about mod installation. You can find it easily on Youtube or Google.

So i understand that excreta turns Sand=dirt=grass but after that does it make tall grass grow when the excreta disolves ?
i cant seem to catch it hapening unless its not supesed to ??
Is there any possibility to add an option to disable the need to tame animals? Or at least a configurable probability for the wild animals to eat the fallen food? Because, you know, I don't have that patience to wait for the animals' will to eat the food, and I lost a cow that starved to death because it didn't wanted at all to eat the lots of food I threw. So some option to customize it would be great.
Excreta doesn't make tall grass. It just goes away on grass block

You said you won't backport machines to 1.7.10. That's sad, because most of the mods I'm using don't have 1.8 version. And because of the stupid config of the required Custom Ore Generation, I can't use Harder Wildlife, to make animals more complex. :/
