Awesome, thank you for this ----^
Update on previous issues I was having here: I've updated to the latest Forge and the latest Floocraft. Tested it out and was able to teleport back and forth between the 2 test locations I made. After 2 runs they both became unresponsive again (same problem as before). I think I'm going to try to reproduce this with just Floocraft installed - wondering if there's another mod interfering with it.
Edit:
After loading just Floocraft, I can confirm that there is mod interference. I spammed the heck out of the Floo portals for 5 minutes straight with zero issues. If desired I can post a full mod list but I will be monkeying with it until I figure out which mod is messing with my teleporters
Actually I've seen this on my test client, which doesn't have any other mods on it. I don't see anything wrong with my code (with regard to that anyway), so I still don't have an answer for anyone with this issue.

Another note: not sure if this is a feature or a bug, but I am able to throw down fire at a random location, floo powder it, and teleport to a registered fireplace :>
Oh my god! Definitely a bug! I'll look into that as soon as I can.

If I helped you in any way or agree in my ideas or posts, make sure you click that green arrow pointing up below my post or simply huggle me! I use 1.7.10 (Modded), so when I comment that I like a 1.8 mod, I will comment to downgrade to 1.7.10. I support no pics, no clicks. Suggestions that I think that are the best deserves a banner!
It is almost time to say goodbye to 1.7.10 because of the recent surge of big 1.9 mods.
Why MCreator sucks: jcm2606's file (doesn't open a new tab) He allows/welcomes anyone to link the file, so I put it here in my signature for people to know how MCreator functions. I thank jcm2606 (he's awesome) for creating the document/file and I'm just here to spread the word.
Wow, this is a big deal! Thanks for letting me know, and congratulations on 25k downloads! Hope it works okay.

floo torches, when placed at the fireplace, could provide a chance of recovering the floo powder by 1%, so if you get like 10 floo torches it would be 10% to recover the thrown floo powder!
gussac, with a cap on the chance of return this could work well, but my concern with that is it might encourage people to stick floo torches all over the fireplaces, and I don't want to encourage players to design fireplaces in ways that they may not find ideal. If people want more powder, maybe floo torches could drop tiny grains from time to time (but not so often that people feel like setting up floo torch farms) and 9 of them can be crafted into one floo powder. I feel like they have to do something, whatever it is.
Anyway, mod development is on hold until the 23rd of June, due to exam revision. After that, I'd like to add a fun final feature, fix all the bugs, and actually put the torches back in, as I expected you all to let me get rid of them! I'll still talk on the forums though.

How do you delete fireplaces? I had a temp fireplace, and despite killing the fire and sign, the name still appears (in red) when I want to teleport. I've tried rebuilding it and then tearing it down again, but then when I put up another sign in the same place the old one was, it creates a new location, but the original is still there in red. It's a little annoying. When reinstalling the mod, it remembers all the locations so I can't get rid of the red location that way. In test worlds deleted fireplaces disappear from the list, but I'm hitting either a brick wall or a glitch in this one.
Destroying the sign is supposed to delete the fireplace and remove its name from the list. I'd hoped that I'd have fixed this by now...
Please could you give me some extra information like what Floocraft version you're using, coordinates of the sign, and layout of the fireplace?
In the meantime, there's a program called NBTExplorer which will fully remove it. If you open the world save in that program and look for the "ftfloocraft" folder, you'll find a list of all possible fireplaces; just delete the name, x, y, and z properties in the program and they'll stop showing up in-game.

I was using 1.3 (could've sworn I had 1.4... oops). The fireplace was the first one I made in my world, it miiiight have been while it was 1.2. I recreated it in the attached images. Never had the same problem with any other fireplaces.
I actually managed to remove it by going to minecraft > saves > (my world) > data > ftfloocraft.dat and totally deleting the .dat file. Couldn't really 'open' it because I have a mac and macs are dumb.
It got rid of all my saved fireplace locations, but didn't delete fire/signs so I all I had to do was take down the signs and stick them back up to re-register the fireplace--it worked great deleting the pesky red missing location. Had to run back out to the places with the fireplaces to get them restarted though!
That's pretty odd. It's good that it just happened once; I'm sure you'll let me know if it happens again. Macs aren't dumb, it's just a case of what program you open the file with. I really recommend using NBTExplorer though, if this happens again.

When you walk around, Railcraft leaves invisible blocks ("residual heat") which you can see with the Trackman's Goggles, if you want to follow someone. So anyone who teleported into a fireplace would leave residual heat there.
Whenever my mod had to check for an air block, it checked if a block was specifically an air block, rather than whether the block should be considered as an air block. Now I've corrected that, any invisible blocks which aren't supposed to interfere with the world should be treated as air blocks and we shouldn't get this problem again.
