I found one small bug playing around with the teleporter. The Minecraft version I am using is 1.7.10 and Floocraft version 1.7.10-1.1. When I travel through the portal/green flame in one spot the green flame goes away at arrival of destination and turns to regular fire. I have to keep reapplying floo powder to travel back and forth. Other than that which I imagine would be a simple fix, it runs smoothly.
Otherwise, I do like your logic on how the teleporting network activates with the sign and green flame. It makes much more sense then how Telepads are activated. Telepads has an annoying bug in creative mode where you have to use a tool to properly remove the telepad in creative mode.
I did some more bug testing to help you out. This is the pattern I found.
If I make the fire, place the sign and then use floo powder - The previous locations green flame will revert to normal fire closing that network location.
If I make the fire, use floo powder and then place the sign - The previous locations green flame will remain the same but the new locations green flame will revert to normal fire closing that location from the network.
Your validation system in the GUI for functioning locations appears to be working very well! Very well constructed logical system here, I send my complements.
EDIT: This bug report was made in error. The mod functions correctly for Minecraft 1.7.10
Finding a way of identifying fireplaces which feels like Minecraft as well as like Harry Potter was a big challenge. This was the best idea I could come up with for doing that.
Green fire reverting to normal fire after use is intentional, and consistent with the book. However creating a sign is meant to be independent of whether the fire is green, and locations should remain open as long as there's a fire, orange or green. Are you certain that it is impossible to teleport to a fireplace with normal fire? Also, your description of what happens when you use the powder first worries me a bit. Are you sure that the green fire you teleport from doesn't revert? And when you arrive at the fireplace, normal fires should turn green for a while to help stop players getting burned, then turn orange again, but if a fire was green before you teleported there it should stay green. I just want to be clear, before I take more time off my next mod to go bug squashing.
Cheers, I'm never been complimented on the code itself before.

I need to correct myself, sorry. My apologies, I have found out the issue with the "closing that location from the network" problem. It's user error. What happened was I followed a video review using wood to start the fire instead of netherrock. What happened was when I traveled through the green flame reverted to regular fire and burned the wood causing the fire to extinguish itself closing the location from the network
The other mistake is again my error. When I was in creative mode I created both teleporting stations and both were green. If I teleport to a green fire station the fire stays green while the previous location reverts back to a regular flame.
So far everything works to your design, I am incorrect on my bug reports. The code works smoothly by your intent that the green fire is supposed to revert.
One request, I like your balance in that teleporting consumes floo powder depending on my preferred gameplay. Other times I wish for another style of gameplay that these were permanently green fire. A perfect example is a large multiplayer game where new players have no access to floo powder and instead of /warp commands I can just use your mod. Could I persuade you to provide an option to have permanent, nonconsumable teleport stations added. It could be a separate download, I would be greatful and I think that feature would make this mod a stronger competitor to the Telepads mod in the eyes of more people. Could make the next "Must Have Mod List" at this rate.
Your mod is simple and elegant. No need to destroy it with complexity like the "Enhanced Portals 3" mod. Wow did they over complicate that mod!
I thought using a destructible block for the fire would be good for people who have a secret base that they want to get out of, but not let people into.
I appreciate that you took an interest and tried to help anyway
I am frankly terrified of Endermen and have real trouble collecting Ender Pearls, so this mod is difficult for me to play as well; however instant teleportation to wherever you want in survival must be balanced somehow, and I do that via Floo Powder being consumed. I won't be changing that any time soon. I have two ideas for easing teleportation: a device which automatically converts any normal fires within a certain range, and/or increasing the amount of powder you can craft at a time. I'll make a poll soon, when I find out how.

I have an idea for this mod. How about adding a Village Building with a Floo Furnace, and the Floo sign says 'Villager's Village" or something like that?

"Villager's Village"!? That name must have taken a whole second to come up with! I don't want to mess with world gen as I don't fancy fixing conflicts with other mods, and I don't really want the mod to have a big presence in the game. I did once consider a Floo Furnace which teleports cooked items to a linked furnace, and also villagers being able to use floo fires. I'm sure you can guess why these ideas didn't get anywhere.

A practical answer to both our concerns would be to make a more concentrated floo powder that has a lasting effect. Ideally this would be difficult to craft compared to regular floo powder in survival mode but easily accessible in creative.

It could be a mod incompatibility? I know of at least one mod that may be to blame, Bibliocraft, since it has signs too. But its just a guess.
A bug fix, if on multiplayer someone dies with Floo in their inventory, it dupes every millisecond, leaving you with a mountain of lag, even after you've picked up the Floo responsible. (This can be fixed with a relog, and the Floo only creates ghost dupes which can't be picked up)
Also, how about adding a Magical Pouch? An item that can hold all of your Floo, and it stays in your inventory even after death. Right clicking on a fireplace with this pouch will use 1 Floo and will activate a fireplace, the same way normal Floo does.
It would be nice to not have to chest your floo and be careful with usage, so I think the pouch may be effective. I'm not talking about a GUI, i'm saying a small number in the description of the Pouch shows how much Floo is in it, and right clicking with the pouch will place all the Floo in your inventory into it, if that makes any sense. So an easy and quick way to navigate around. It can hold a maximum of 64, and crafting it will return the Floo.

Stop treating mod devs poorly. These people mod as a hobby or as a service to the community, they don't have to take your suggestion and you are not entitled to anything from them.

Actually, I think it has something to do with the list of fireplaces. I made my first one in the game, creating the database, but the others failed to type properly. After deleting the fireplace data from the saves, it works until I make the second one again.

That bug sounds horrible; because of the hundreds of fireplaces I've had to build I've been in creative all the time, so I'd never have noticed this. I'll keep an eye out. The next version will have two features which make Floo powder a bit less cumbersome (one is done already, actually). They're not like what you had in mind but I'm sure they'll be just as useful.

I'll aim to squash this in the next version. Do you know if it worked on an older version?
