I've looked around for a better and realistic food system mod and i ended up with your mod and another one called spiece of life.
Anyway not spiece of life nor hunger overhaul are enough to justify a varied diet.
My proposal is to implement a feeding system like that one in terrafirmacraft: a set of gauges to fill up divided in: vitamins need, protein need, fiber need, minerals need, and so on.
I made this suggestion to spiece of life author too, because a mod that make a such change but on the food system only would be really amazing and would improve a lot the realism in minecraft.
I guess a thing like this would be hard to make but i guess it is worth a try.
Now that both AppleCore and HarvestCraft are updated, are we going to see a 1.9 and 1.9.4 compatible version of Hunger Overhaul rolling out any time soon? The vanilla hunger and food system may be much more usable than it was once upon a time, but it's still only serviceable rather than great.

I am having a problem with this mod and Pams Harvestcraft. I have this mod, Spice of Life and Pams Harvestcraft installed on the server. The problem is that when you eat Pams fruits and vegetables by themselves they don't get consumed and their is no chomp sound after eating those foods. The food will disappear until open your inventory or anything that opens up your inventory, you have to keep eating the food till you hear a chomp sound and then you know it's gone.
This is not an issue with Spice of Life as someone else on the harvestcraft forum has said they have Spice of Life and Pams installed with no issues and suggested that it might have something to do with this mods algorithm?
Is there a way to tweak the stats of a specific food item? I find that mushroom stew heals far too many hunger bars for what is put into it, one each red & white mushroom and a bowl, and it satisfies like 4 or so bars.
Could someone please tell me exactly how I can enable hunger in peaceful mode? I'm using 1.10.2. I tried playing with the config but I couldn't get it to work in peaceful, though it definitely works in easy+. Thanks
I'm also wondering how to disable the "feature" where food takes a very long time to eat when it has more food value, as it seems that when the food is set to a quarter of it's proper food value in the configs, it still takes the amount of time relating to it's full value to eat, and this adds a lot of extra wear to my mouse.
Hello, I got an issue with the mod. Specifically with the mod: "Real World mod" [you could say the "son" of Plant Megapack mod (now dead)]. When I go into creative and look at the Real World mod tab with Hunger Overhaul installed, this crash happens:
