The modifiers that added modifier slots were removed for balance reasons, though I think they could be reinstated as a config option, allowing server owners to disable it entirely, or just disable certain ones. Or even make them more expensive.

Think they'll add shields into TC eventually? since 1.9 introduced shields but the vanilla shield isnt that good. I'd love a shield that i could make with cactus or something. wish i knew how to program/code mods
Is there a possibility to use the arrows from "Bullseye" with Tinker's Bows? According to the mod author of bullseye they should worl like vanilla arrows, so they should work with Tinkers bows, but they don't, but the author said that problem lies with Tinkers construct, not with Bullseye.
I would open an incompatibility issue on the Tinkers' Construct GitHub.
Before you post something on the Tinkers' Construct thread... please read this.
If you have a crash log, READ it before posting it (and if you do, use spoilers). Some stuff should be obvious to where it comes from. Try reproducing the same thing with only Tinkers' Construct or Mantle on vanilla Forge (please do make sure that you're using the latest TiC and Mantle versions). If it still does happen, report it to the issue tracker (Yes, you have to sign up... but it's not that hard).
Last but not least, please do not ask for unsupported versions (1.7.10, 1.8.9) or ask for non-existent ones (1.8)!
Mattock has been an OP weapon since 1.7.10.
Make yourself a flint mattock. It has the attack value of an iron sword. And it's a multi-tool.

(In regard to a mod that gives realistic animal genetics):
Would you really rather have bees that make diamonds and oil with magical genetic blocks?
... did I really ask that?
I'd say get enough modifiers on a rapier, then stack loads of quartz on it. Plus the piercing armor, it hits like an angry freight train.

You can't cut trees and dig earth with rapier.
If you need a specialized weapon, rapier is still OP.

Good that it's a joke. Ha ha. Truth is, people are gonna find OP tools/weapons sooner or later.

There is an addon from Boni that should allow that I believe.
It should either be Tinkers' Tool Leveling or Harvest Tweaks. Combination of them both should recreate good old Iguana's Tweaks. Worst case, you could always use CraftTweaker to reduce Vanilla tools to crafting recipes only.
Having a small issue i have never had before can someone tell me if my smeltery is too big? its 9x9 on the outside making the inside 7x7 the wiki says that it cannot be bigger than 7x7 not including the corners.
i also get a weird graphic glitch whenever i put something in the smeltery and the only way to fix it is to mine the controller
I think they mean the outside dimensions, so yeah, try shrinking it to 5x5 from 9x9.

Don't believe what the wiki says, it's for outdated versions (1.7.10 and below). Use the book instead. As for the graphic glitch, don't use OptiFine if you are.

OK lol. Th graphic glitch isn't the normal flickering of the smeltery tanks whenever I put something in the smeltery it doesn't show up on the inside and it loaded in ghost blocks of the smeltery about 20 blocks away.
Ok so I have this smeltery under ground it was 9x9 (7x7 not including the corners) now it is 5x5 and whenever i put something inside of it i get this stupid graphic glitch about 20 blocks away and the onyl way to get rid of it is to take everything out of the smeltery and mine the controller
When was the new GUI and the ability for all the stations to be linked together added to this mod?
(Here's an example, in a 1.10.2 modpack):
Am I right to assume it was added after 1.7.10, and therefor isn't available in that version?
I'm loving this mod! It's undoubtedly one of my favorites and a must-have for most if not all major mod-packs. The only thing I would like to suggest as an improvement is for options for constructing tinker's fishing rods, as the rods from Aquaculture and Thermal Foundation are nice but I would much prefer a tinker's option.
Keep up the good work!
yes and yes. i turned fast render off and reloaded chunks and textures and it did not go away
I thought Aquaculture had died, but apparently I'm wrong.
