If traveller's gear works anything like the tools do(and I suspect it does), making or spawning it in by any other means besides a crafting table will create armor without proper data, which causes crashing.

Can we get a portable/handheld tool station for when we are exploring/mining? It doesn't have to be full feature, just the GUI to repair or add modifiers.

It's not QUITE portable, at least how I think you want it to be... but crafting tables can be turned into crafting stations that function as crafting tables that can repair tools and access the crafting GUI and a nearby chest at the same time.

I tried recreating the crash without using the transmutation tablet and it didn't crash. So I guess I should post at Project E's page

Whenever i try to use the celestial gateway it crashes.

Such an item would take a slot in the inventory anyway. How is this different from just carrying a crafting station block with you? Or carrying wood and crafting one when you need it?

Because you can just right click to open the GUI instead of having to craft, place, then pick back up.The same reason people still use backpacks even though most mod's chests hold their items when broken now.

I doubt it's an OptiFine issue. The logs will always tell you that it's unsupported, but that doesn't mean OptiFine is incompatible or even causing the crash. I've been using OptiFine with TiC for a year now with no issues.

From what the log is saying, I would guess that afiqster12's inventory is bugged because it has the traveller's gear made without using a normal crafting station. Tools from this mod cause crashes when made improperly and traveller's gear works similarly, from what I can tell.

Jabba and Iron Chests can not be picked up so lightly. Well... without a dolly inside a backpack that is.

So what storage mods are you referring to?

You just mentioned them, and immersive engineering. You act as if wrenches are expensive to make.

Alright, let's take a break from this, it's a flame war waiting to happen.
As for the in-inventory repair: I don't suspect it will be happening any time soon (if at all). Your best option is to use crafting stations, and if inventory space is a problem keep in mind that TiC has knapsacks.

As for implementing them: I would say the best way to get your suggestion to become a reality is to make a detailed explanation of it. No gauruntees, obviously, but it may help if yoy want it badly. How is what you're suggesting going to be crafted? How will it fit in with the balance of the mod, and remain balanced? What will it look like?

We need a groot. Need to take like 8 grout around a seared brick and then take that result and put into a pot and we get a placeable groot that will dance to music discs when in range of the sound. when you break it you get a mini groot thats you can place somewhere else

With that in mind, I can't help but mention the first question come to mind....does that mean the standard Tinkers Construct will eventually be integrated with Iguana Tweaks by default, or do you plan on keeping them separate for those who don't want them together?

Anyway....this is the question I came here to ask before I saw the update regarding the change of hands. Is there any way the instruction books for tinkers construct could eventually show the numbers on materials from other mods that can be used with tinkers construct?

For example....book 2 gives us details on normal vanilla and tinkers construct metals, such as iron, alumite, etc. But I can never find things such as thaumium, lead, invar, etc.

Could that possibly be implemented in the future? It would really convenient for me atleast, so I'm not constantly searching google to figure it out.

Lastly, the books don't cover all the materials for tinkers construct, such as Pokefennium for example. Will those materials be added to the books in the future?

Any chance Rapier and Crossbow will be coming back soon for 1.8.9? RogueLikes are impossible without the Rapier... And with all the difficulty mods available for 1.8.9, there are really no weapons to match them in 1.8.9 without the Tinkers Rapier and Crossbow we've grown to love.

I second this. We really need a lot of the tools and weapons from 1.7.10 back in 1.8.9. I find that I need the rapier just to make fighting creepers easier. That, and everything was so convenient to have (I preferred fighting with the Battle Axe instead of the Cleaver because it could hit groups of enemies with one swing, and I tend to get surrounded a lot due to my bad luck. Plus, all the projectile weapons were great. I could pick up my used projectiles to use them again and again!). Also, when will Auto-Smelting be re-added as a modification for tools? It really helped me out. And when will the books be re-implemented?
