Hmm, after a short glance through the code, it looks like it might be possible to add new casts and specific mb amounts to casting recipes by calling TiC methods directly. Before I dig deeper is that a terrible or impossible idea?
I'm making a mod that adds a new metal—cast iron—that is intended to be more efficient when cast than when used raw. For example, while you can make 3 cast iron plates from 3 ingots normally (1 ingot per plate), casting yields 1 plate per 6 nuggets instead. So, ideally, I'd like to just tell Tinkers Construct that 1 cast iron plate equals 6 nuggets (rather than 1 ingot).
And, I'd like to add casts for my mod's custom items.
Really, TiC seems like it could, potentially, be a perfect fit for my mod, but I'm not yet sure if the integration I mentioned is possible. Anyone know for sure if it is or not?
Why isn't there a chest for casts? I know I can use a regular chest but it seems odd to me that there's one for patterns and another one for tool parts but nothing for casts
You've always been able to put casts in pattern chests. Just remember that in the latest versions, the cast chest only accepts once type of cast (Pattern, Clay Cast, and the regular Cast).
Before you post something on the Tinkers' Construct thread... please read this.
If you have a crash log, READ it before posting it (and if you do, use spoilers). Some stuff should be obvious to where it comes from. Try reproducing the same thing with only Tinkers' Construct or Mantle on vanilla Forge (please do make sure that you're using the latest TiC and Mantle versions). If it still does happen, report it to the issue tracker (Yes, you have to sign up... but it's not that hard).
Last but not least, please do not ask for unsupported versions (1.7.10, 1.8.9) or ask for non-existent ones (1.8)!
Yes, I've read the page regarding IMC. The messages do not allow specifying fluid amounts for inputs/outputs or adding custom casts, which is why I mentioned calling functions directly instead.

First of all, thank you for porting this mod for later versions of Minecraft, you rock!!
But for me ranged weapons were almost the most important thing about Tinkers1. In the newer versions the only reanged weapon is shuriken, which isnt really good even if compared to a vanilla bow. Are there any news on the implementation of the good'ol crossbow and others?
I dont intend to rush anyone, Im just interested if I should wait for it, or I should install another mod alltogether??

look at what has errored out in the list. it is BOP.
that list is easy to decipher. there is a key code at the top, and the only one with an errored status is BOP.
I didn't see anything about errors in that mumbojumbo. All I did was check the latest BOP files on Curse and download the right one. Somewhere, I somehow managed to download version 1231 for 1.9. Which I can only assume was not a 1.9.4 version and that is what was causing the problem.

when it crashes on startup, here is a good place to start
UCH mcp{9.19} [Minecraft Coder Pack] (minecraft.jar)
UCH FML{8.0.99.99} [Forge Mod Loader] (forge-1.9.4-12.17.0.1976.jar)
UCH Forge{12.17.0.1976} [Minecraft Forge] (forge-1.9.4-12.17.0.1976.jar)
UCE BiomesOPlenty{4.1.0.2021} [Biomes O' Plenty] (BiomesOPlenty-1.9.4-4.1.0.2021-universal.jar)
UCH mantle{1.9.4-0.10.2.jenkins149} [Mantle] (Mantle-1.9.4-0.10.2.jar)
UCH tconstruct{1.9.4-2.3.3.jenkins263} [Tinkers' Construct] (TConstruct-1.9.4-2.3.3.jar)
UCH guru{1.35} [The Basic Elements] (The Basic Elements 1.3.15-1.9.4.jar)
that is where you can look to see what has errored. it can have multiple errors if a dependency that another mod requires has crashed, or crazy interactions.
question regarding the 1.8.9 downloads...is there any way to make them compatible with 1.8 (assuming they aren't already)? i play a heavily modded 1.8 and really want to add this to the modlist.

No, and there will not be a 1.8 version.

First question
https://github.com/SlimeKnights/TinkersConstruct/wiki/IMC
You've always been able to put casts in pattern chests. Just remember that in the latest versions, the cast chest only accepts once type of cast (Pattern, Clay Cast, and the regular Cast).

Yes, I've read the page regarding IMC. The messages do not allow specifying fluid amounts for inputs/outputs or adding custom casts, which is why I mentioned calling functions directly instead.
and yes i have mantle installed

Frustrated with a mod and need help?, Then click here
sans avatar i get it before you just go out and yell undertale fanboy at me tell me 1 good reason why that's terrible
if it's too lighthearted the game gets more dark and serious in the later parts and genocide
Hey guys!
Try renaming your folder to something else? It seems that none of your other mods loaded either.

How do you craft the Magma Cream?
that is a vanilla item....blaze powder and slime
Thanks, my son was saying it wasn't working, but I think he was trying to use a slime block, not slimeball
What ore mods do you support right now? I was just looking at M-Ore to get my aluminum and copper ores. Would that work?
Edit: Better question. If TConstruct doesn't add ores on its own anymore, is Aluminum Brass even still craftable? If it is, what can I use instead? I haven't been able to find one mod that adds Aluminum.
Hey.. Sorry to bother you again.. Especially so soon. But I'm getting a crash and I don't know why.

look at what has errored out in the list. it is BOP.
