Well, i have tested all the weapons, and sent boni, in the thing for reports this, and well, cleaver is not balanced, and longsword barely usable, the best "weapon" is the broadsword.
But i use a shovel a la shovelknight as a weapon XD
Seems the material sprites for the shortbow aren't working properly.
The game keeps using the "_bowstring.png" sprite instead of the "flamestring_bowstring.png", "magicfabric_bowstring.png" & "string_bowstring.png" sprites.
How does one make/find/forge/smelt: " Knightslime "???
I've searched this thread but came up with nothing because the search function on this forum is completely useless, and weirdly even the TiC Wiki has no mention of it, so I thought I best ask here.
So, I mentioned a while back that I was planning on making an addon. I'm actually trying to do that now, is the information you linked to about that valid in the 1.9 betas? If not, I'm completely lost, if so, I'm almost completely lost
Also, looking at some of the files here, fried eggs? Glow balls? Elves? WHAT ARE YOU PLANNING!??!? Whatever it is, sign me up.
And lastly, as long as I'm asking you questions, Jaded's shinies marks you as the maintainer. Is there any doccumentation for that at all anywhere? 15 minutes of searching and I came up with nothing.

The TiC wiki, like pretty much everything, is still mostly stuck on 1.7.10.
Knightlslime is made by combining purple slime, seared bricks, and iron in your smeltary. It's not the highest tier material, but before you have a way to get obsidian for alumite or a nether portal, it's one of the best things on the table for you.

Hi there I'm a little new to the mod just wanted to ask 2 things that may or may not be bugs. First I have to say I'm playing the 1.8.9 version because some of the mods I use are not updated to 1.9 yet, so if it was a bug and it's fixed in 1.9 please don't rage on me .
1) The most likely to be a bug (or a bad mod interaction, who knows) I made a cleaver but my problem is that sometimes when it swings deals no damage, and by sometimes I mean if you spam the mouse button only the first hit deals damage then nothing, I have to stop pressing the mouse button for a precious second or jump/move in order for it to deal damage again ( I know because I have waila and in the UHD shows the mob's health) considering how slow it swings that's a major problem for me so I was forced to go back to the broadsword.
2) this might be intended actually but it would be strange imo all the swords (so broadsword, longsword, cleaver and also battelsign) instead of being more effective on cobwebs can't actually harvest them at all and this is a major pain in mineshafts when trying to kill spider spawners.

Great mod so far but quick question. It seems a lot of the ores (Including Aluminum) are not in this version. I can't make the basic level items in the smelter because Aluminum isn't spawning. I am on 1.9

Aluminum, Copper, and Tin are all no longer things, unless other mods add them.
You can make Clay casts, which can be used once, and then disappear, or a golden one, that can be used forever. A system that makes a lot more sense, honestly.
please take a loot at the mod tinkers defense as it would be good to add stuff from that mod to tinkers constructs I will also ask that modder if he would work with you.

I second that notion. The idea of mounting a shield and two manyullyn broadswords is tantalizing.

I just took the Minecraft Noob test! Check out what I scored. Think you can beat me?!
Add a large "I have no idea what I'm doing" button to the Workstations that, when pressed, will pull up the crafting recipes for the guide books. I'm tired of seeing Youtubers trying to make Manyullyn Shortbows and such.

The 1.7.10 versions are no longer supported, and the 1.8/1.9 versions don't have books yet.
Okay I love this mod, but there is one modifier I ABSOLUTELY HATE. It is the mossy modifier. It is a very necessary modifier, but it makes your weapon look like old rusty garbage. Can you please change the look of the moss modifier or make it so someone can disable the texture in the config?

Generally not a good idea to tell a modder a part looks like garbage, but I agree that disabling some of the modifier visuals would be great. The Quartz one in particular looks a little odd on cleavers; I made a beautiful enderium cleaver with steel plates, so it was all dark with a blue edge, but adding the quartz modifier turned it mostly white.
You could always open up the mod's files andirectly change the textures yourself, or find a texture pack with textures you like better.

Also, I've flipped shovel textures for Tinker's Construct and ExtraTiC for a more realistic-looking animation, check here: http://www.minecraft...hovel-textures/
Hayo , nice mod. Should we hope to see the shields from Tinkers defense on the 1.9 tinker version? It could be amazing
Edit:Found something , i do't know if it's a bug , when a man veinmine with a tinkers shovel , it takes damage (1 halfheart).
Tried with both empty hands/vanilla shovel , no damage taken
If it has cactus or wooden parts, it will have a passive modifier that deals minor damage to the player. Splinters for wood and spikey for cactus, I believe.

Is there a way in the new tinkers to turn off different aspects of the mod like certain tools?
