Pretty sure that's not going to happen, since mDiyo was adamantly against modding for that version in the first place. But hey, it's up to Boni (though I would highly recommend moving on... 1.7.2 was a disaster from my experience, with so many bugs it makes the Erebus look like a mansion's kitchen comparatively).
Adding to M's comment there (not sure how simply one shortens that nickname); Bug https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MC-31622 was one from 1.7.2 which I personally would not put up with. Best to keep up with the latest/last version for 1.7.
As well, on a different note, is there a config option to disable single block harversting with TC tools while sneaking? I've looked into it, but came up short.
Might i make a suggestion for this mod? I suggest that you could add a recipe for ice. The reason is that it could be added to weapons and such to add a slowing affect to opponents on contact. the higher the level of the freezing affect, the longer it lasts. Maybe at max level it could have a special frost bite affect to them
Another suggestion is that the moss ball could be crafted with a spider eye and/or rotten flesh to create a "Poisonous Herb". it could be equipped to a weapon to give a poison effect on enemies, higher the tier, the longer it lasts. At maximum level it would add wither affect to enemies.
The question here is what are you guys doing that the rest of us aren't? Because there has to be something in common to those having the issues as it is not happening to everyone who is running the tinkers.
I have been trying to find the problem for more than a day now. It is extremely random, takes so long to test every little mod for about 20 minutes each, no more, I don't have the patience nor the time.
So many amazing little mods out there, problem is that half of them barely work.
The main mods like Thaumcraft, Tinkers, IC2, Buildcraft, Forestry, AE2 and what not all work fine, but having a pack with those in it is a little boring and been done to death. I might actually stop Minecraft for a while.
Thanks for everyone's help but I can't seem to track this down...
I've noticed a strange phenomenon with the hammer, maybe this applies to other tier 2 tools at the moment as well, but I am not sure
If your mining speed is fast enough for instant break, it won't do area of effect breaking. I noticed this with netherrack, however, if you slow your speed down somehow (for instance, while jumping), the AoE effect works correctly.

Send me the mods you are using, maybe I can find it.
I can see why one might think that is a bad thing, but considering the material differences, it's not like hammers and picks really need to be on par with one another. If I am spending a maximum of 27 of a material to make a hammer, why is it so important that something that costs 2 material remain in use? Simply because it's a different tool type with the same basic use?
And like I said in my post, by the time I have a hammer, the only thing a pick gets used for is mining 1 block every couple of hours to get me out of a hole, so it's already 99% useless, taking up a slot in my inventory except for the scant moment I need it.
But that is also why I asked if it could be a config as opposed to a reversion, because I can still understand folk finding that to be a balance point and not wanting that for their game or server, but it would still be nice for it to be a choice for the rest of us. After having gotten a small taste of it in the previous update, I think it's a nice option is all.
Tier 2 tools were designed to be a direct upgrade and replacement of their tier 1 versions thus they are tiers and not just different tools.
Working the way they are at the moment reduces their usefulness , makes them stupidly tedious, and takes up more inventory space to have tier 1 tools.

Has anyone else experienced this?
I have this bug too and with an excavator and not a hammer.
with walls included, 9x9, thus leaving a 7x7 interior. the height can be whatever, though when i tried a 9x9x9 smeltery, I encountered some odd behavior, though this was a few updates back, and I think some people reported it, so it might have been fixed
I'd recommend testing in a creative world, of course, best to come to your own conclusions
The smeltery does not need to have a square base. I have one that has interior dimensions of 7 long x 3 deep and 3 high. I think it only needs a level base, but can have any shape footprint.
Can i request something that a lot of people would love to see? give us a nugget cast, please and thankyou!
Generally I leave requests alone, but this is something I support. I definitely agree with the implementation of these, along with metal chunk casts as well. mDiyo said he had a nugget cast way back in February after I made a texture for one for him to support my case, but I don't remember ever finding them having been implemented. Hell, if it's of any use/motivation, here it is again:
I'd gladly make a chunk cast as well, because last I checked those weren't implemented, either(or even capable of being melted down in the smeltery). If I wanted chunks, I had to pour metal out into tool rods and melt them instead. Same use, really, but there's all those metal chunks sitting around in the game that are textured and [mostly]implemented...
Also, I've flipped shovel textures for Tinker's Construct and ExtraTiC for a more realistic-looking animation, check here: http://www.minecraft...hovel-textures/
Hi guys. I have some problems with this beautiful mod:
I playing sky factory 1.3.2. This modpack has DartCraft 0.2.20v2 and TConstruct 1.5.5.7.
There is an item calling spoilbag in dartcraft and them can be right-clicked on an inventory (e.g. a Chest) to dump items in that inventory. So, when i accidentally right-clicked spoilbag on the tool station, the bag succesfully dump all items into it. And i forgot about this. Then after some time i wanted to repair my tools and open tool station. And game crashed. The only way to fix this issue in my game is to brake the tool station (it also drops all items that spoilbag dumps before) and place it again.
Then i tried to repeat this actions with other mods (e.g. Pulverizer from Thermal Expansion) but it doesn't works - spoilbag dont dumps items into it but opens pulverizers interface.
So, can you check is this issue fixed on newer versions of TConstruct and fix it if not??
Im a huge fan of this mod, but recently got annoyed when i couldn't place a slab furnace and a slab crafting table in the same block, can this be changed plz?

He needs your clicks to grow, so what are you waiting for? Give him a click!

Can you place a wooden slab and a stone slab in the same space? No? Same concept here. They're not microparts, just slabs.
Ah, gotcha. My point about nugget cast stills stands, however - especially with recent versions allowing for the creation of alloys with nuggets rather than requiring the perfect amount of ingots.

Hey guys,
I am having some trouble with a client-side crash when some types of items are dropped.
It is happening especially when picking up ingots from castings, when dropping (or when those are dropped by Slime Bosses) slime tools. It also happens when Charged Cetrus Quarts (from AE2) is dropped.

I'm shocked that mDiyo quit... I can't express just how grateful I am that you've decided to pick up his baton and keep this amazing mod from succumbing to the inescapable abyss that is not being updated. I thank you, sincerely.
Could you add support for the newer versions of IC for minecraft 1.7.10? I was playing on a modded server and was frustrated that I could not add a battery to my tool because it was IC3, not IC2. Could you fix the compatibility please?

If I'm rude to you, just tell me. Don't take it too personally. Well, unless you were being stupid. If you were, DO take it personally.
