There is a new block (tile.poketransformer.name) that looks like a stone pressure plate.
If you right click it with a filled pokecube, it will take the cube, and then turn you into that pokemob when you stand on it.
If you are a pokemob, stepping on one which turns into a pokemob does nothing.
If you step on one that has not been given a cube, it will try to turn you back to a player.
With /nbtedit you can set it to turn to any random pokemob instead.
If you use /nbtedit to make an int array called "nums" you can specify which random list of mobs to choose from.
Notes:
If the mob can fly or float, you can fly. I will see about making it only let you float if mob can float later.
You will probably still drown if you are a water type, I will fix this later.
You cannot walk under 1 high ledges if you are a small pokemob, this is a vanilla bug that forge needs to fix, or a core mod is needed for.
You do not get the health of the pokemob you turn into, I will fix this later.
Use attacks by pressing the Attack command key, default is "g".
Edit: Notes about attacks:
If you want to use a contact attack, walk up to the target and press g, you might need to jump into them a few times and spam g for it to work.
For distanced attacks, look in their general direction and press g.
You can level up as well, I need to make a way to show your current level.

I was wondering if you'd be able to add the Styler and Disc from Pokemon Ranger. I think it'd be a pretty cool way to tame some Pokemobs to aid you for a short while before returning to the wild.

Thanks for reading.
I will have to look into that, I am not quite sure how it would be implemented, as the mechanic used for capture required drawing with a stylus, which would be rather difficult to do in minecraft.

Sorry I know that what I initially said, and my rebuttal when you replied are two different things, but I am terrible at explaining things. It usually takes someone else who tells me something like "......? I don't understand..." to get it right after the fact. I hope it didn't confuse you too much!
also... shouldnt psystrike be a more ranged attack? i mean it's not a contact move so running up and hitting an opponent with it shouldn't happen....
It is a ranged attack, it does work at distance. There may still be some bugs in the player using ranged attacks, they might miss a lot the way it is currently done.

Morph already struggled with this in 1.6.4. At some point your bounding box was fixed, so you could fit through 1-block gaps, but you'd still get suffocation damage as it counted your head as being in the block above you.
Smart Moving doesn't seem to have this problem though. They certainly did go on the core-mod train though.
That test.jar core mod fixes all of the issues for collision/passing through gaps.
I sent a PR to forge that also fixes it, but I have no clue when/if it will be accepted.

Muahahaha
I don't yet have it changing player HP to match the pokemob's.
In creative, you don't take damage, because you are creative.
Edit:
The snow you see there was me spamming ice beam as a mew earlier.

this is too cool. though my hitbox is now twice as big and now i cant get in caves on a map
who did you transform into?
Btw, to transform back, step on an un-linked transformer, that will turn you back to a player. should also reset your hitbox to normal.
