Curse PremiumThen it's going to boil down to individual system issues, but historically I've observed more problems with it. I've tried a couple different rendering techniques, but some group always seems to end up with Z-fighting problems.

Question: does it still have the issue when piping the ingots into, say, a drawer controller? Because I notice that a number of those ingots are in the big (max compress) slot, so i'm thinking maybe it doesn't matter if you pipe it in?
On this though, I have to say this is one of my favorite things about this mod, the oredicting. This mod is rapidly replacing JABBA as my favorite mass storage mod. And JABBA is amazing.

Curse PremiumYeah, it all uses the same logic. I'm sure there is a way I can work around the tiering problem, I might just not to leverage as much of the Forge stuff I'm using.

Oh wow.. I was wanting to add hand-carts to Cart Mod since back in beta. I'm glad someone has provided one, and one that supports various mods too, nice.

It's just an item used to pick up tile entities, nothing fancier like I'd imagine from the Cart Mod (which I've had a look at, and would be interested in for 1.7.10!)
Optifine's fast renderer option causes graphical issues with layered textures. If you turn off Fast Rendering, this will revert to the base Minecraft Rendering algorithms and all will be fixed.

Curse PremiumIt's strange that this would happen, but the mod is not actively doing anything until you load the world (end even then, not until you place a block). It may be a strange interaction or a coincidence, but there's not really anything I can investigate.

Status Update: I thought I would get some modding done this past weekend, but instead my operating system fried itself. I'm now trying to rebuild all my software stacks. Since I've also got Mysterium going on this week (any hardcore enough MystCraft players going?), I'm not expecting any updates until some time next week.

Couple of questions:
1. I've had people say that they can't access drawers when those drawers are "locked". But I thought all that locking did was prevent the slots from changing?
2. I've noticed rendering glitches specifically with redcrystal (from automagy) which seems to sort of flicker in and out of view on drawers sometimes.

Curse PremiumThat's all locking should do, yes. So far, the only case I've found where players can no longer access drawers is when they (accidentally) end up in Adventure mode. However, this would affects all drawers equally. This might need more investigation on your part.
Is it brightness flickering, Z-fighting, or partial object clipping? I've not seen this item specifically, but as an example there is brightness flickering with Applied Energistics 2 crystals/blocks that cannot be worked around, because those items implement their own rendering process. This could be similar.

Well, the odd thing is, I'm pretty sure I had a drawer of redcrystal working fine before, but now those drawers just look completely empty until I mouse over them. I did notice a possibly-related thing (or possibly not) which is that if I have the thaumatorium (automated alchemy machine, I may have gotten the name wrong) making redcrystal, the icon on it is actually a 3D image of them, which is not typical for a lot of other objects, so it might be some kind of 3Dish thing?

I tried your mod before, but after a friend's gameplay I found the real possibility and great idea in your mod. I like to use it now, but I have a question:
Can you make corner drawers? When you place 3 drawers in a corner the center would turn.
(I suspect I'm making a "repeat suggestion" here, but Search Thread is broken---for me at least---so I can't be sure. Anywho, having laid my groundwork for plausible deniability I'll move on:)
Awesome mod. I love it. Excellent work with compatibility with other mods, too (I strongly doubted my Golems would know what to do with a Drawer Controller, but they did!)
I do have one suggestion: I think Obsidian should be bumped down two upgrade tiers---beneath Iron and Gold, to better align it with the relative value of each material. As it stands, Obsidian is simply too easy to acquire in large quantities. The earlier tiers may as well not exist. I can't imagine ever buying an Iron Upgrade, and I don't believe anyone in the history of using Storage Drawers has ever purchased a Gold Upgrade (amirite?!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't the tiers stack anyways? I'm pretty sure i have both emerald and iron on my AgSkies 2 world on a couple of mine (haven't bothered to add it to others, and I haven't reached the max capacity on any compacting drawers so I haven't been able to see if adding the additional upgrades has actually affected anything)

Curse PremiumStacking the same upgrades isn't a bug; it's just not well-advertised.
I've been aware that the obsidian level can be a little cheaty for a long time. It was balanced against vanilla accessibility, which is to say iron and gold are more accessible than obsidian in early game. Obsidian is easier to acquire in quantity later on, but a carefully balanced storage resource economy wasn't one of my key objectives.
Your final experience will be heavily dependent on your mod pack. Thermal Expansion will make obsidian more trivial, and magic crops will make the other metals and gems quite trivial. Integration with mods like Automagy will penalize you for bigger storage, so bigger is not be universally better. I even have an open request for storage reducers.
I expose all the upgrade multipliers and such in the config so you can balance everything around your specific pack or tastes.
