how do i get these mods on my minecraft cause it downloads the mod and then i open it and it comes up with its coding.... how do i actually play with these mods
I feel kinda stupid, but I can't find the download for 2.2.1. On Github the latest I can find is 2.2.0 and the Curse link leads me to 2.1.9. Am I missing something?

Due to my snarky and sarcastic personality I can easily be seen as a jerk. If I've offended you in any way it was likely unintended.

It's on Curse. I forgot to change the download control from 1.8 to 1.8.9 though, so you would have needed to go to the full file list.
Since I'm seeing increasing download traffic on the 1.8 builds, I'm putting more priority into bringing it to parity with the 1.7 version again. With that, you can move your drawers again.
For those who don't know/remember, the Thaumcraft support displays the aspect label on the drawer for things essentia-related things like phials and crystals, when you are nearby.
And with the retrimming support back, 1.8 is finally on a pretty even keel with 1.7 again. I've got a lot of cleanup and some Forge-related business to look into next, before I think about the pack situation again. I'm aware at least of Biomes O' Plenty having some presence on 1.8.
Question and potential bug (bug status depends on response to the question...): Is there a reason the Magic Bees nuggets of iron don't OreDict with the compacting drawer? Modpack is Infinity Evolved, and I'm using logistics pipes to run my bee area, and my ferrous bees are making iron nuggets that I have to craft into ingots in order to send them over to the drawer controller. They are OreDict'd as "nuggetIron" just like the Tinker's and such, but they aren't getting pulled out of my apiaries because they have no destination. I know about the issue where if you can't reverse craft it it doesn't work, but I also thought that because they're OreDict'd as the same as other iron nuggets it would work.
What happens when you try manually inserting magic bees iron nuggets into the drawer? Does it work?
ironNugget is whitelisted so it should be immune to ore dictionary ambiguity that can cause keys to be disabled. And it oredicts fine in my local dev pack testing. And Thermal Dynamics does pull them out of a chest and deposit them in a drawer that's filled with tinker iron nuggets.
You didn't say what is doing the pulling. Some transport systems may do their own item checking.
Controller allows ore dictionary-compatible items to coexist in a bank of drawers. Items will prefer drawers with an exact match over drawers that would cause a conversion.
Possible fix for unusual NEI render crash.
Fixed Thermal Expansion integration failing if Forestry or Misc packs are installed but Refined Relocation is not. (Fix is in respective pack update)
updated zh_TW translation (thanks NatsuArash).
The main change is in drawer network behavior. If you place two ore dictionary-compatible items, like Thaumcraft amber and BoP amber into drawers managed by the same controller, then the controller will no longer unify those items into each other. This new behavior applies to any IInventory interaction (most pipes, machines, etc), manual controller insertion, and AE2 integration.
It does not apply to Logistics Pipes, Automagy, or any other mod that has added special Storage Drawers support through its API. They will need to be updated separately to support this.
Since inventory management changes tend to be more sensitive, keep an eye out for any strange behavior.

I am enthusiastic about this change!
The controller will only keep the items separate if I place them into drawers beforehand, right? If I just pipe the two kinds of amber into an empty drawer system, it will use the old behavior and convert them into whichever kind of amber gets inserted first?

Correct. It's a bit like locking, in that you need to set it up ahead of time for it to be useful.

I.....did I try manually? I think I did and it didn't work? I'll have to try that again, but I don't think it did work. I'm using Logistics Pipes to do the pulling/pushing, so it has issues, but it was able to do other oredict things, like inserting any type of ingot into the place. I'm using compacting drawers, not regular drawers, so I was thinking that might be causing some issues there (because of the interaction with Logistics Pipes and how the drawers report what's in them). I guess I'm just glad that my bees can't produce iron faster than a hopper can drop them...

Thanks.
Great mod by the way. It's quickly gotten onto my list of mods that I use every time I play with modded Minecraft.

Version 2.3.1 for Minecraft 1.8.9:
Pack stuff aside (which needs a total overhaul for 1.8), retrimming drawers is still missing.

BoP is on 1.8[.9], so that pack would be nice (I am using BoP right now on 1.8.9).
I love this mod. Keep up the good work!
For some reason I cannot destroy drawers in Creative. They show the particles but don't actually get destroyed.
Break them from a side other than the front.

Didn't even think of that.
