This mod looks awesome! I'm going to use it in my modpack.

Cool! I'm gonna give it a try soon. I like organizing my stuff so this looks like fun. Can' t wait to see how it works w/ some of my other favored mods!
I've published another minor release. This adds the double-right-click to dump all compatible items in your inventory into the drawer. After playing with the drawers on my server for the last week, I realized this was one of my favorite features of JABBA barrels and I was frustrated not having it available.
1.0.4 - Sep-06-14:
Added double-right-click to add all compatible items from inventory.
I'm continuing to explore the indicators feature. I think I am going to provide multiple levels of upgrade on this, both for functionality and aesthetic reasons. For the first level, I'm considering a single drawer-full indicator, illuminating the handle space:
I think this is fairly unobtrusive compared to my earlier screenshot. A second level would add another color, as was suggested in an earlier post. E.g., yellow for a drawer that is >75% full. And for a third level I'm still exploring solutions for a linear indicator that can tell you approximately how full a given drawer is. My main motivation for this is that I want to know when some drawers are close to being empty.

Nice update and screenshot! I downloaded the mod yesterday and I'm a bit peeved that I have to update it again, but oh well, still an awesome update. I wonder if the wood types are going to be compatible with other mods in the future. Also, you want to know when some drawers are close to being empty? Huh?
Oh, and I'm using this mod in my modpack, just so you know.

My update schedule is not fixed. Sometimes I can do several in short succession, sometimes it may be weeks. It's always faster when I first release a mod. That said, the last update was not a critical one so you could always hold off for a more convenient time to update. I promise this mod won't ever post annoying in-chat update messages.
My own server is on a Saturday update schedule so I wanted a build done in time for that. Otherwise I might have waited for more content to be done.
Also, you want to know when some drawers are close to being empty? Huh?
It actually has to do with my original reason for creating the mod. If I'm working with a mod with lots of intermediary parts, like all the IC and circuit parts for OpenComputers or some of the intermediary potion ingredients. For efficiency you might create a large batch of those items at once and then draw them down as you make other items. It would be nice to know if you're getting low.
So, my appologies. It looks like the incomplete indicator code I've been working on accidentally slipped into the 1.0.4 release. And it applies unconditionally to everything. I updated the 1.0.4 release with the correct build files.

Well, I said close to empty. But if I add any kind of item locking then I really will need something to indicate an empty state. Probably something related to the item render in that case.
Ah, damn, I partly re-introduced that bug when working on the automation fixes. Here's another update to fix the issue, and it's recommended to update since it is a crashing bug.
1.0.5 - Sep-07-14:
Fix crash with automated transport of some mod items into drawers.
I am not intending on anymore releases for the rest of the week or so, unless another serious bug shows up. The next main release will be a sizable content update. I'm planning to include config file and GUI, indicator upgrades, and a new kind of drawer block. I'll also tweak a couple of the default numbers.
One of the things I learned this weekend is that lots of Bibliocraft item and potion shelves is an FPS killer. Really. badly. Those fancy 3D items are not cheap to render.
One of the options that I now have implemented in the config is whether to use "fancy" or "fast" rendering for the item labels. Currently I render fancy 3D items the same way that item frames do, but there will be an option to render the items as if they were inventory. You can compare in the screens:
In both cases I don't really have the light behaving the way I'd like. The labels are certainly full volume in fast mode.
Forgive, I'm relatively new to mc and especially to mods.
Using oak planks and two chests, I was able to craft two 2x2 drawers but I am unable to drag them to my inventory or Shift+Left+Click to move them to my Inventory, even though I can craft non-modded stuff and move it.

That would be strange, because I'm not aware of any mods that take a dependency on StorageDrawers. StorageDrawers does take a dependency on Waila, if it exists.
As an exercise, you could try removing Waila and tell me if that makes a difference. Other than that you may need to try different combinations of mods to tease out where the problem lies.
I was not encouraged by my search on that error, where someone reported that it "sometimes happened" without actually changing the set of mods.

Let me do some rooting around and see what I can see. I'll let you know what the culprit or culprits are if you are academically curious.
And that crashlog is utterlt useless to let me know why it is crashing...
EDIT
So starting a new server world stopped that crash from happening. However plugging it into our existing world produces that crash.

Profiler Position: N/A (disabled)
Is Modded: Definitely; Server brand changed to 'fml, forge'
Type: Dedicated Server (map_server.txt)
That would be strange, because I'm not aware of any mods that take a dependency on StorageDrawers. StorageDrawers does take a dependency on Waila, if it exists.
As an exercise, you could try removing Waila and tell me if that makes a difference. Other than that you may need to try different combinations of mods to tease out where the problem lies.
I was not encouraged by my search on that error, where someone reported that it "sometimes happened" without actually changing the set of mods.
Mods I Develop: Garden Stuff -- Storage Drawers -- Hunger Strike
Tools I Develop: NBTExplorer -- Substrate
Let me do some rooting around and see what I can see. I'll let you know what the culprit or culprits are if you are academically curious.
And that crashlog is utterlt useless to let me know why it is crashing...
EDIT
So starting a new server world stopped that crash from happening. However plugging it into our existing world produces that crash.
