If you want some organization in a wall of drawers with several hundreds of items get WAILA (or HWYLA as WAILA wasn't continued for the most recent game versions). That way, when you hover over a drawer it shows a list in the upper or lower corner of your screen what is inside those drawers. The location of the WAILA/HWYLA tooltip can be configured.
I use WIT, but you still need to scrape the drawer bank to get the list. I also was using different colors of framed drawers for categories (now that Extras is happening again, I'll be able to use the BoP woods).
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
I did some CraftTweaker scripts for Mystical Agriculture. They fill in a couple of small gaps in MA, and also let you make or duplicate not only vanilla plants, but the blocks, plants and wood from Quark and Biomes O'Plenty. Also spawn eggs for most vanilla mobs! The scripts are here on Github.
The latest 1.12 alpha on CurseForge has some pretty big internal rewrites, along with a few visible changes as well. Definitely back up your world before loading it with this one. It SHOULD migrate your existing data (which includes worlds back thru 1.10), but better to be safe.
Major visible changes are:
- No more auto-ore-dictionary-converting your items for you. You can craft an upgrade for this now. It's a couple lapis, not exactly expensive. You won't be stuck with weird conversions when the heuristic fails, and your server will thank you.
I get a crash when I try to load the game with this mod on, and it's such a shame, I love this mod and have played with it for ages in FTB modpacks, but the first time I try modding my own game a little for a mostly vanilla game, this is the one that doesn't work.

May be a stupid question, but I've looked everywhere and can't find the recipe for the quantify key....anyone that can help with this, it would be super appreciated. Am playing on a legit survival server and am slowly but surely building a storage warehouse...
My storage drawers glitched. I had oak and birch ones and they were all facing front wards not to the side. And most have items in them. I logged off a few hrs ago and they were normal. I log back on and they look like this. Changed type and turned and I cant see what's in them. But if I click them stuff still comes out. They were all the 4 drawer type and some had gold upgrades.
I know this is crazy late, but I'll post the reply to this for anyone with the same question that sees this, and for you if you happen to still be looking.
Soo I've been building an underground base recently with certain rooms on different levels. Itried connecting my kitchen und workshop drawer network with the large drawer network several rooms away which is my main storage. I did so by connecting my Drawer Controller with trim blocks through the walls placing a slave every 12 block or so until I reached the room with the main storage. Since the main storage is pretty large I placed another controller and enough slaves so the whole vicinity would be covered.
However, if I place items into the Controller down in my workshop they don't get sorted even though in my main storage is a drawer already contining a few block of said resource...the item however also doesn't get sorted into any nearby empty drawers.
Any ideas on what I might be doing wrong?
Controller Slaves do not extend the range of Drawer Controllers.
Controller Slaves ONLY provide more access points for the storage drawer network.
You'd have to use multiple storage networks, or other mods to accomplish what you want to do.
What's the maximum multiplier, messing with the config, that the upgrades can be set to without bugging out the Compacting Drawers?
I messed with recipes and changed the top tier upgrade to 195,000 to achieve DSU levels of storage (2,000,000,000) for 5 upgrades, but just one of those bugged out the compacting drawers.
Is there a way to achieve that level of storage with Storage Drawers in one block?
I'm playing using the forge version 14.22.0.2456 ; Storage Drawers 1.12-5.2.9 ; Chameleon 1.12-4.1.3.
The problem is that I can't craft the storage upgrades. I can do the upgrade template, status upgrade (I and II) and conversion upgrade just fine.
Any idea about how resolve this ?
Thanks a lot for this mod.
Hi,
I have the same problem with Storage Drawers 1.12.1-5.3.3.... the problem is I cannot craft the Storage Upgrade (II) to (V)...
I've try with latest forge version 14.23.1.2581 for Minecraft 1.12.2 using Chameleon 1.12-4.1.3...
Is there some thing I miss here... or it is a Bug in Storage Drawers 5.x.x version that not yet addressed/solved?
Below are some image I captured from Minecraft for references... If there is more I can do to help resolve the problem, just let me know.... I would like to help to solve the problem...
Below are attached image for Storage Upgrade (II), (III) and (V) I'm able to craft eventually....
I'm trying this recipe with enableFallbackRecipes setting configuration set to true or false and the result are the same.
Someone need to update the recipe for crafting these Storage Upgrade on the first page on this thread for Storage Drawers version 1.12.1-5.x.x and above cause it can be misleading for others.
I'm using StorageDrawers-1.10.2-3.7.10.jar + Chameleon-1.10.2-2.3.0.jar + Forge 1.10.2-12.18.3.2511, and getting a client-side crash in Chameleon while tesselating the block model every time I try to look at a storage drawer placed in the world. (Specifically it's a 2x2 Acacia.) Actually placing the storage drawer unit does not seem to bother the server at all; only the client crashes.

Let me know if you need the complete crash log and I'll pastebin it somewhere or post a link.
I'm using a 128x resource pack (MojoKraft v15), if that makes a difference.
Well, the mod list, in the order that it is in the crash log (because that is the mod load order), may be relevant to this crash. Everything sorted "above" Storage Drawers and Chameleon could be causing this. So I would try updating all of those mods first.
I will recheck, but I'm reasonably sure all mods are up to date. (Though update notification still does not work reliably for all mods.)
Got my server updated, but I've been too busy all day since to retest. Trying it again now.
....Even played safe this time and did NOT place it against a transport pipe. Kaboomarama the moment I placed it.
The forums, unlike curseforge, will I think allow me to post the entire crash report:

...You're right. I'd swear I downloaded 2.3.0.
But I just checked my local mods repo and, indeed, somehow I got 2.2.2.
What'll you bet me what's the problem...? It'd make the second time today I've gotten a different file version than the one the link said I was downloading.

That WAS the problem. I somehow downloaded an old version on the first try and didn't notice. Apologies for the invalid crash report.
Should Storage Drawers interface with Project Red transport pipes? Is there anything special I need to do to make it work? Do I have to connect a pipe to the front of a drawer controller to pipe items into it? How about piping items back out?
Has anyone successfully gotten Router Reborn item routers to work with them? My routers can see the drawers, but don't seem to be able to store anything in them.
I use WIT, but you still need to scrape the drawer bank to get the list. I also was using different colors of framed drawers for categories (now that Extras is happening again, I'll be able to use the BoP woods).
Heads up: https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/storage-drawers/files/2446485
- You have 7 upgrade slots now.
- Default storage tier configs are 2, 4, 8, 16, 32 now.

Hi just wanted to let you know I am using your mod in mod pack . https://mods.curse.com/modpacks/minecraft/271138-job-mastery-race here is a link if you are interested in checking it out. Your mod is awesome thanks for making it.
I get a crash when I try to load the game with this mod on, and it's such a shame, I love this mod and have played with it for ages in FTB modpacks, but the first time I try modding my own game a little for a mostly vanilla game, this is the one that doesn't work.

Storage Drawers is on version 5.2.8 for 1.12. You're trying to load 5.0.0. There's been breaking changes in Forge since then.

Controller Slaves do not extend the range of Drawer Controllers.
Controller Slaves ONLY provide more access points for the storage drawer network.
You'd have to use multiple storage networks, or other mods to accomplish what you want to do.
**edited for clarity
What's the maximum multiplier, messing with the config, that the upgrades can be set to without bugging out the Compacting Drawers?
I messed with recipes and changed the top tier upgrade to 195,000 to achieve DSU levels of storage (2,000,000,000) for 5 upgrades, but just one of those bugged out the compacting drawers.
Is there a way to achieve that level of storage with Storage Drawers in one block?
Hi,
I have the same problem with Storage Drawers 1.12.1-5.3.3.... the problem is I cannot craft the Storage Upgrade (II) to (V)...
I've try with latest forge version 14.23.1.2581 for Minecraft 1.12.2 using Chameleon 1.12-4.1.3...
I also try with the following version of:
Forge 1.12.2-14.23.1.2555; Chameleon 1.12-4.1.3; Storage Drawers 1.12.1-5.3.3 (failed)
Forge 1.12.2-14.23.1.2554; Chameleon 1.12-4.1.3; Storage Drawers 1.12.1-5.2.9 (failed)
Forge 1.12-14.21.1.2387; Chameleon 1.12-4.1.3; Storage Drawers 1.12.1-5.1.0 (failed)
Forge 1.11.2-13.20.1.2386; Chameleon 1.11.2-3.1.0; Storage Drawers 1.11.2-4.2.10 (success) [can craft the Storage Upgrade (II) to (V)]
Is there some thing I miss here... or it is a Bug in Storage Drawers 5.x.x version that not yet addressed/solved?
Below are some image I captured from Minecraft for references... If there is more I can do to help resolve the problem, just let me know.... I would like to help to solve the problem...
After many trial and error, finally I'm able to craft the Storage Upgrade (II) to (V) but using somewhat different recipe.
I found out this recipe from GitHub Issue discussion on https://github.com/jaquadro/StorageDrawers/issues/594
Hope my post can be helpful for others too...
Most relevant bits of the crash log:
Let me know if you need the complete crash log and I'll pastebin it somewhere or post a link.
I'm using a 128x resource pack (MojoKraft v15), if that makes a difference.
I will recheck, but I'm reasonably sure all mods are up to date. (Though update notification still does not work reliably for all mods.)
...OK, actually, I take that back. I was up to date on all of the major mods, but a lot more of the less visible ones than I'd realized were outdated.
Got my server updated, but I've been too busy all day since to retest. Trying it again now.
....Even played safe this time and did NOT place it against a transport pipe. Kaboomarama the moment I placed it.
The forums, unlike curseforge, will I think allow me to post the entire crash report:
Though you mentioned 2.3.0, your Chameleon is reported as 2.2.2 in the crash log

...You're right. I'd swear I downloaded 2.3.0.

Hey there,
Ran into an issue, where when I mouse over a drawer it wont show how much of the thing in the drawer is in it.
StorageDrawers-1.12.2-5.3.5
Chameleon-1.12-4.1.3
forge-1.12.2-14.23.2.2627
Have this same version at both server and client side.
Any ideas?
