i'm not sure if this is present in versions above 1.7.10, but in the 1.7.10 version there is a creative tab with nothing in it that says: Storage Drawers - Sorting.
there is nothing in this tab as I stated just now and I have been looking for a way to remove it, any ideas?
I am having the same problem as Drehverschluss, Waila doesn't see what's inside, it just says the type of drawer it's looking at, not the items inside. I don't know if this is how it's supposed to be.
I'm using the storage drawers mod along with inventorytweaks (if this is necessary to mention) and customized keysetting (sneaking on capslog i.e.) in minecraft 1.8.9
My problem: I can fill the drawers but I can't pick them up again using the "shift + click" or any other combination.
Does anyone have any idea how to fix that or what causes the problem?
Thanks
Are you sure this is related to InventoryTweaks and not accidentally being in Adventure Mode?
Creative upgrades can only be removed from drawers by creative players.
Creative upgrades no longer drop when a drawer is broken.
Obviously everyone should get the update because dupe bugs are no fun.
I've got a pretty big backlog of 1.9 issues reported. I'm starting to work through the list. There will also be a 1.8 update to deliver the 1.7 fixes from the last few months.
I love this mod and don't think any pack should be without it. It works great with other mods, just add a storage bus from AE2 and your set. And i would also like to thank you for allowing the use of your mod to pack devs. And yes im going to use it in my mod packs. Thank you again for all you hard work and keep doing as you have, great job.
I've noticed that the smooth stone in the controller and slave recipes isn't oredictionaried, at least on the 1.7.10 version. Would you be able to fix this? (the oredic entry seems to just be "stone".) Thanks!
I am sorry if I sound rude.
But what is difference between Storage Drawlers, JABBA and Cache from TE?
Storage Drawers lets you potentially put several different stacks of items in a single block, though in smaller quantities, for keeping things neater and easier to reach. It also looks much more fitting in aesthetic builds. JABBA and the TE caches seem much more similar to each other, only being able to store a single type of item, though in massive quantities.

The only thing so far I don't like is that once you get all items from Drawer it removes icon... Too bad I can't set it to stay like it does with Cache.
But controller thingy is good for sorting stuff.

Fix fallback recipes taking precedence over normal recipes.
Fix fallback recipes config option being ignored.
Fix ability to open drawer GUI if off-hand is holding an item.
Fix ability to withdraw items via left-click when in creative mode. A side-effect of this fix is "destroy" particles will appear each time you take an item. Don't have any good ideas for a fix.
I've tested Chameleon and Storage Drawers on the new 1.10 builds and found they work as-is. The existing 1.9.4 files have been tagged for version 1.10 as well on CurseForge, and I will continue to use the 1.9.4 naming convention until there's a break in compatibility.
So, I have a question for sorting the drawer contents.
Playing FTB Infinity Evolved Skyblock, and after many chests got filled up with random half-stacks of items I decided to consolidate them all into one location, which would be hard to fill up so I could just keep adding stuff endlessly. Storage Drawers, with the Drawer Controller, was the best mod for the job, and thus a 25x25x25 cube of Storage Drawers was created.
Except now I have the exact same problem. Whenever a drawer nearby the Trim empties out, something with a much faster pull/drop rate will take up that drawer. Despite already having its own, much fuller drawer already. I now have five drawers dedicated to tiny piles of lead dust from my Uranium processing, all but one with almost no piles actually in them.
Is there any simple way to sort the drawers? Preferably from the Drawer Controller, so I don't have to attach pipes to every drawer in the cube. I built this thing specifically to avoid that. And after that, is there any way to make sure it stays sorted?
I was originally going to build a second cube, migrate all my stuff over to that one, allowing it to pseudo-sort as it chose since all the stacks would end up in the drawers closest to the Trim anyway, then migrate it all back afterward. It should work, but it will be a lengthy process that I'd have to repeat periodically.
If you want empty drawers to be auto-filled with new items in the system, it's a current limitation in the drawer network.
There is a priority system in place, but the problem is in how the network updates itself. Every 5 seconds it rescans the network, and only then will it notice an empty drawer and move it to the back of the priority order. So for up to 5 seconds, that empty slot will still be prioritized like it has an item. And if that slot just happens to be earlier in order (physically closer to the controller) than another slot with some item, the empty slot is going to be populated.
Most people avoid this problem by locking all drawers, including empty ones. An empty locked drawer can only be populated by hand, which is fine for most storage designs but not a 25x25x25 cube.
Perhaps a better procedure for occasional cleanup is to keep the cube locked, and have an overflow buffer like a large chest to collect items that the drawers haven't seen before it. Periodically, unlock the cube (key works on controller) and dump the contents in, then re-lock.
The network may eventually be redesigned to eliminate the 5 second lag factor, but it won't be in 1.7.10.
I have items coming in via a pipe, on the first available empty drawer I have an extraction pipe. So any item that is currently not assigned a drawer is piped to another chest.
This works for the most part, the issue is there are items that have a drawer assigned that also end up being piped out. Happens fairly often too.
I've tried splitting the input into two pipes and using two slaves but the issue doesn't seem to change.
I don't fully understand how your setup is supposed to operate. But maybe your issue is related to the post below you? Sounds like something that could happen when priority is briefly violated by a drawer going empty.
Hmm. every five seconds you say? Can you automate locking and unlocking the drawers with, say, something similar to a Block Placer? Then, on a timer... maybe every twenty or so seconds, it could open up the drawers and allow any overflow in, locking again shortly after.

Version 2.6.5 for Minecraft 1.8.9:
I imagine most people have left this behind by now. But as long as I'm fixing bugs in 1.7.10, they need to get merged through 1.8.9 anyway.

Maybe an autonomous activator could? I've never tried, but it sounds like it should work.
