Hey, just wanna say I love the mod! Loved it in Hexxit, love that you've continued working on it!
Me and a few close friends played Hexxit and one of them just fell in love with your mod, like completely. Ever since we stopped playing pre-built packs and started compiling our own, private packs for our own use, he's been bugging me about it with each new pack I make. "Does it have the boomerang? No? **** it." He usually ends up playing anyway, but he's honestly disappointed about it, lol.
I was wondering; I know on the front page it says you aren't currently allowing this to be in modpacks, but some other people have come to you with modpack-related or at least multiple mod-related problems... Can I include your mod in our personal pack? We don't upload to youtube, we don't make or spend money on it, we just play together for fun.
I just figured I'd ask first before I assumed or anything. It'd be great if you could get me an answer!
You are quite welcome to use the mod in combination with other mods, and play together with friends. My concern is that I don't want anyone redistributing my mod; I want this thread and my links to be the definitive source for downloading, so that the current version is always the one people are getting and I can accurately track download stats, and so people know where to get official info and support on it.
Thank you very much for the prompt and positive response. I completely understand your reasons and concerns, and that's sort of what I figured. If I may, perhaps you should modify your statement in the first post to better reflect this? Again, thank you!
I've got a coupl questions! Um, how rarely do stars fall? How common are starwells? And do you know of any mods that could possibly cause these two occurrences to cease? Thanks! Love the mod, just having a derp time with this.
Any mod that adds non-vanilla blocks to terrain generation can interfere with starwells being placed, as they will only replace specific vanilla blocks. Stars are only able to fall when a player is in the dark (that is, the block they occupy is unlit) and under open sky (no blocks overhead). If you spend an entire night, dusk to dawn, under those conditions, then you should be guaranteed at least one star drop. If you don't get one, let me know and I will investigate further.
This mod is nothing like the original and lacks all of the elements that made Legend Gear so fun.
Dude, make sure you know things before you be a critic? He is adding in some and new things from the Legend Gear mod. This mod as far as i'm concerned is still a work in progress mod just many things have been added and bugs are fixed. Just wait and see, but untill then just don't be a critic
