I loved legendgear 1, and I believe the cause for liking the other boots is mainly from nostaligia, because these boots were found first and your mod came later on.
the swish sound they made as you stepped along with white particles was very satisfying.

Just FYI, if I generate a new world which happens to have a starwell near spawn the game will freeze without error and won't complete terrain generation.
Post crash log please? I can't fix it unless I know what's breaking. The crash log gives me a specific error and line number, which basically tells me where the bug is and what's going wrong.
Edit: wait, "freeze without error" being that there's no log/console output? It sounds like you're hitting an infinite loop or something, but I don't see anything in the generation code that would do that. Are you running any other mods?
I have a lot of new ideas and will be prioritizing those. The bombs and medallions have their role basically filled with the blast shell and thrown orbs, so I feel that adding the old stuff in that case would be redundant. The sword pedestal is under consideration but not a priority. Your wish for beams is likely to be granted, however... I am putting the finishing touches on an update that I think people will find intriguing.

Maybe I'm cheating a little by changing the answer before giving it, but the latter, now. I've got my @Optional annotations sorted out, so the mod will run even without Baubles installed, but not all items will be useful without it. (If you lack Baubles and are crashing with a NoClassDefFound error, redownload.)
Is there a 'right' circle to start the links for a Lattice in? Are faint links bad, or are they meant for a different order somehow? What does it mean when the links trace back to a spot where you've ALREADY placed a block? Plus, when you break one block, it all resets, so I can't seem to get the pattern down consistently. Also, what's the use of the Tuning Fork? It doesn't produce a sound anywhere other than the Locus, but it doesn't seem to be a -different- sound no matter what stage i'm at. .
Altogether, has anyone managed to perform a ritual? I can't, hacking things in creative and constantly testing my tuning fork and eating fortune cookies.
To make things a little more clear, since it can be tricky to figure out:
Placing a block creates a link from that block to another space around the circle. The sound when you place a block, and the sound the tuning fork makes, indicates how many steps around the circle the link goes and in what direction. A slight increasing tone = 1 clockwise, a much lowered tone = 3 counterclockwise, etc. Those offsets happen in a fixed order; if the first block links 2 spaces clockwise, the first block will always link 2 spaces clockwise, regardless of where you place it. It may be helpful to just place blocks at night and/or use the tuning fork and make a note of the order of offsets - "+1 -2 -2 +3 +1 -1 +2 -3" for example. The tuning fork makes its own "ding" sound no matter what, but it also triggers a 2-tone echoing sound from the locus when you right-click with it.
Linking to already placed blocks is in fact very useful and important for easily assembling the right pattern - if I know the next link is +2, I can place a block of type A in such a place that I know it'll link to an already placed block of type B.
If a link goes exactly backwards to an already established link, it removes the link. This is needed to set up keystones, because every block normally forms a link from itself when placed. Note that this means that some starwells could be unsuitable for rituals requiring a keystone, if it has no links in its pattern that are opposites of each other. (There are not currently many rituals that don't require a keystone, but I may add one later.
So if I have a Locus/Well that goes +1, +1, +1, +3, +1, +3, +2, +3, is it physically possible to perform a ritual, and if so, how, and will a keystone be possible? The circle never goes counterclockwise and never more than 3 steps. I'm sorry, I am not a clever person. I feel like if I saw this work, even one time, I'd figure out how it's supposed to function, but I can't wrap my head around removing links and planning ahead. There also doesn't seem to be much feedback of how links get cancelled or if they do, since I've made 3 spots connect to one spot without any visible 'interference'.

I'm not sure what you mean by "suggested" links - is it a link to an empty space? it's actually a good thing if you have no links to empty spaces, because then you have a lot more control over what links get established because you're always linking "forward". As long as you make sure none of your links end up hitting your keystone, you can be confident of assembling the ritual correctly. (And once you have a working pattern, you can use that same pattern for any rituals of the same structure.)
I can make it so everything is linked except the keystone, but. . I don't get the alternating Lattice. I mean, eventually I have to place the Keystone and link it with something else and disturb the grass-hay-grass-hay pattern, however briefly. . buh, forget it. It's too much for me to keep track of in one place. I'll wait to see if someone else succeeds with it. Avoiding the keystone link, keeping up the pattern of connections, so on and so forth is too much for me, at least when I know so little.'
