Yes, because when you start your minecraft, windows uses that, which has been installed when you started minecraft last time, so you have to uninstall the old versions i think.

The character creation gui, one new vehicle(mor will follow, but modelling takes it time ) and many many bugfixes, mostly deep inside the code.
