I am unable to sort with inventory tweaks when opening a compressed chest. Normally I would hit "r" or middle mouse click and it auto sorts everything. A huge help for me because I can sort anything lol. Any chance support for inventory tweaks can be included?

Soon as all the bugs in the 1.9 version are fixed, work will stop on the old version. And more work will be done on the new version that has the new chest builder system, but I will add support for inventory tweaks in that version
I just downloaded Minecraft Forge and installed this MOD.
I first noticed all the signs had popped off my chests, then noticed some of my fences, gates and doors were gone.
Then I noticed that everything I had stored in chests had gone! EVERYTHING!
Any fix for this?
Where was the mod and forge downloaded from. My mod doesn't affect any of the things you mentioned. Did you have a version installed previous to this or not?

I have never heard of anything like that and I have used every launcher and every way of playing minecraft. Next time back up your world before installing a mod. This is rule number 1. Second if you going to try out mods then try out a mod pack made by someone who knows how to do this. Its not easy to do on your own. FTB has tons of mod packs and Direwolf20 has a great pack out now as well as many others. I started with a mod pack before I moved onto my own mod pack. Anyways baby steps my friend

That is very strange. Don't stop using mods because of a failed experience. They're fun I don't know, like Grydian said. I have never seen anything like this. Try making a world without my mod, then place all of the items you said were effected, then add my mod back in and load the world. If it happens again, put your log (.minecraft/logs/fml-client-latest.log and fml-latest.log) here, and I will see if I can see anything.
hmmm...i used the download link in the first post here (version: CompactStorage-1.7.10-2.0.0.20-universal) and it doesn't seem to work. i have forge and i tested it on a 1.7.10 world (got a TON of mods installed , like 60 counting this one and any child mods from other ones, without many issues >.>) and according to the NEI mod there is no recipe for anything your mod adds. also, if you check the wiki link in your post, all the recipes have a red square in the place of the chests and backpacks.
i was kinda hoping this would work since i've been using abyssal craft and made a base on a massive darklands mountain range. like 500+ blocks across and around -/+y 50+ in height/depth. its unbelievably HUGE and pure darkstone. so yeah, extra storage space would be great when you need to store an entire mountain or so. lol

Over the next few days and weeks, there will be alphas popping up on CurseForge, please do not use these unless just testing, they are heaving in development!

edit: labels on top of the chests! how nice of you to also make sorting super easy and with these chests being so massive on the inside you only need 1 for most items.

P.S. FTB is free as well as any launcher you use.
