As for 1.8, soon(tm). I wanna finish this library system then focus will be on 1.8. I've already done a preliminary update and it went well (apart from GUI's being borked) so it might be a dual release.

Just sent you my link on twitter about the tails stuff for default designs, now the colors I used were based off of my skin using the color picker tool and my skin is done pixel by pixel and is a grey wolf as seen in this photo
Welp, the custom tail submit thingy is cool, and I hope to send some stuff soon!
I also thought I should mention that the dragon tail conflicts with the Traveler's Gear cloak. For some reason only half of the cloak would show at quite the large angle. It stops when I use the lizard tail so I suspect that it's the spikes on the dragon tail that's causing the problem.
Still though, I guess it's not your problem, it's theirs.
hey Just wanted to know i love the mod but when Smart moving is added the tails don't follow the player model. Dunno if anyone else has had an issue or if its something you thought of intergrating just thought i'd let you know.

It does, you're just using an outdated version. Update to the latest and it'll work.
Are there any plans to add custom facial features / snouts as well? As much as I like More Player Models, the stuff in this just looks infinitely better compared to it.
In the beta build for the library, the tail/wings/other can't have their textures changed from the default. This means no metal wings and no lizard/dragon tail stripes.

I've had a similar issue where using the spiked version of the tail would cause pieces of various other things to vanish, such as about a third of Thaumcraft's Goggles of Revealing. It's like it takes their pixels for it's own or something idk...

If everything is installed properly, it should be at the bottom of the pause menu screen. If it's not there, it might be an incompatibility error of some sort, Kihira would know more than me.
BTW Kihira, beautiful mod. Along with MPM, I can be "me" at last:)
And a question as well, are you planning on adding more types of wings? The metal wings work ok but I'd be ecstatic if you added actual dragon wings of some sort. Maybe see if you can get a signature banner created too as I like to show my support for good mods:)

I love all the animation details for the tails and wings, and best of all this mod is entirely compatible with MPM2!
The selection of tails is already vast as it is, and while I understand you are focusing mainly on releasing the library firsthand, I must ask you a favor ; Could Shark tails and/or dorsal fins be added to the release following the completion of the library menu?
If not, could you give a general method on how to add and integrate custom models-animation class-files to the current mod? Or specifics on how models should be structured be it they were submitted to you? I'm not the best with Eclipse, but I like to think I've got a good modeling hand.
Additionally, if you are short on ideas for fixed head ornaments, what about ; Antlers, Demon Horns, Ram Horns and (As suggested earlier) Rabbit Ears?

If you know how to use Techne/Tabula (I recommend Tabula) then that's basically it Ensure the rotation points are correct then just render it. The entire code is open source (and a bit of a mess) but you can view it all on GitHub. I'll happily accept PR's for new tails and parts and can work with you on getting it implemented (heck if you can do the model and texture, I can do everything else).

Dear Kihira, I'd like to inform you that the foxlib mod isn't detected on specific version mods folder (As in ".minecraft/mods/1.7.10/foxlib.jar) and to be able to use the tails mod I'm forced to move it to the general mods folder. Though this isn't an urgent situation, it's annoying to move the file everytime I play 1.7.10, because I play on multiple versions...

How goes the progress on the new library Kihira.
I've been testing it on a private server and it seems to be working very well so far. Just a few little quirks and some more UI work is needed.

However exciting news! Tails is now updated to 1.3.0!
