Am I missing something? I can't find a single preview screenshot, nor a single graphic if any added element, anywhere. Not in the Github, not in the blog, not in this post. I've rarely seen a mod that seems to go out of its way to NOT show a preview.

Is there a link I'm missing?
Thank you BigGrayGolem for the reminder. RL's been sticking it's head recently so I wasn't able to complete my "ticklers" on time. Nevertheless I shall have a few up and about before humpday. My apologies.
Greetings Tmtravlr. We both reached the same conclusion regarding the conflicting potion effects. I changed the PZ IDs as well but found that having a static approach (changing IDs each and every time) would grant me a lower compatibility return in the long run, so I just added a "safe" way to auto acquire the IDs. (Many thanks to Lycanite for the coding help). Thankfully the modifications allowed your potion effects to coexist with the existing potion system of PZ, as well as with a dozen or so mods that I also play with that have their potion/effects. Hopefully I haven't broken anything but so far so good:blink:. The auto ID feature can be turned off in the config file so returning to the previous approach is really not an issue. Thank you for your feedback/support and I'm looking forward to the future features of your mod. Cheers!
Yep it seems to work. However, I would suggest doing it another way.
I had to do something similar with the clay golem entity ID for Artifacts. It was conflicting with other entity IDs constantly (even with PZ entities), so the first time it ever loads I made it pick an entity ID that isn't being used, and save that number to the config file. Then it will use that number consistantly, but people can still change it if they want in the config.
You could find the effect IDs that don't conflict, then save them to the config. That way also there would be no danger of the IDs changing when you re-start the game (turning slowfall into harm2 or something, giving the player a very bad day). If the player installs another mod with effects, they will have to edit the config (or delete it and let it generate again), but I think that's acceptable.
Yeah, I love both PZ and Artifacts, and couldn't bear to see either die. If you need help with anything, I'd love to help (I've been coding for just over a year now (so it's not like I know everything yet), but I've dealt with my fair share of weird crashes). If you post here or send me a PM or something I could give you advice, or help you work through a problem. =)

Suggestion very much noted. I'll do a few test runs and I'll give you feedback asap. Many thanks for your coding help. I'm pretty sure I'll be needing it quite soon.
Sure will MohawkyMagoo. Next release will include your request.
Beware, I know removing the | from entities removes previously existing entities from the world. With how blocks work now, it may or may not, it should be tested.
Erasing previous entities is the only reason I never did it in the past. Otherwise I've always liked it.
The compatibility issues in the past have all been IIRCC related to mods using entity names when saving files on windows based systems: '|' is not a valid character (it is valid in unix systems).

That's a good point. There's a good chance that would delete all the PZ blocks and entities that currently exist in a 1.7 world.
I'd hold off on that until a major update (like 1.8, when that comes out), or create an option in the config to get rid of the |, but have that option default to false.

Looks great always looking for a little more flavor. Gonna give it a spin before we plug it in for the server. Safe to say this does not work with Biomes O' Plenty or Enhanced Biomes?
Greetings StormbringerGT. I'm doing a few play tests with Enhanced Biomes pre 2.4a and the latest of PZ 1.7.10 and so far I have not encountered any noticeable bug/glitch/issue. I'll keep on testing with the different world types but so far so good, even mob spawning is working. I have to get back to you later with regards to the other aspects of PZ. Thanks.

Wow that is most excellent, I'm going to run some tests and see what results I get!
So far they both seem to work with this mod! Gonna see if I can get some of the new mobs to spawn in the enhanced Biomes.
Okay so yes, these animals are spawning in Biomes from Enhanced biomes? How?!
Also I noticed this mod adds horses, is there a way to disable those since the vanilla horses work just fine (and are ridable)?
Can't wait to see where you can take this mod... just converting it must have been a ton of work!
The Enhanced Biomes probably use the forge biome types (like FOREST, FROZEN, JUNGLE, ect... most biome mods use them), and any mod can read them. For instance if you look at my Music Choices mod, you can change the background music based on the biome types. Creatures can spawn based on those biome types rather than the specific biomes.
Yeah, you can disable the horses from spawning in the config file.

Thanks for taking the time to explain how that worked!
I've been trying to figure out how to stop the horses from spawning, I'm more a true/false config person lol, found their entry but I am still trying to puzzle it out.

Hey there MohawkyMagoo. Can you specify what other mods are you running? Can you confirm the PZ mod version your using? I'm doing a few tests just to check the cause of the crash you experience.

No problem. =)
I usually disable the horses from spawning by setting the "shouldexist" entries to false for all 7 horse types. That removes the spawn eggs too.
Is there a way to disable all potion items and such? I've never liked the potion system in minecraft and it seems like I get tons of potion ingredients as chest loot which I hate getting.

Come to think of it, that was the only Project Zulu part I didn't care about back in 1.5.2. I'm a big fan of the mod overall, but if you have other mods installed (Thaumcraft, Ars Magicka, etc), the potion system pretty much becomes an waste of time and valuable inventory space. Unless it gets expanded into something more valuable than short term effects for already overpowered players, if it could be made optional with the config, I'd probably use the option to disable it myself.

I don't think there's a way to disable the chest generation right now (right?), but you can use Too Much Loot to stop the shiny baubles and such from generating in the chests.
Is there a link I'm missing?
As long as I can Death_pwn1. PZ is a real classic.
Thank you BigGrayGolem for the reminder. RL's been sticking it's head recently so I wasn't able to complete my "ticklers" on time. Nevertheless I shall have a few up and about before humpday. My apologies.

Noted Crudedragos. And thank you.
Thank you for your feedback on this issue as well. Given the consequences I think I'll hold off the changes until release till 1.8 comes out, but I'll do further testing as Crudedragos has advised.
Greetings SuperSayanFTW. Have you updated to this version (Project Zulu 1.7.10 v1.2B)? What was the cause of death event? Fall? Lava? etc...
Wow that is most excellent, I'm going to run some tests and see what results I get!
Thank you Tmtravir for the save.

ex. for Horse Beige
S:net.minecraft.world.biome.BiomeGenBeach.Beach=false:5:1:2
[S:net.minecraft.world.biome.BiomeGenBeach.Beach] -- Biome type
false -- whether to spawn or not
5 -- Spawn weight/rate
1 -- min Chunk spawn setting
2 -- max Chunk spawn setting

Hey there MohawkyMagoo. Can you specify what other mods are you running? Can you confirm the PZ mod version your using? I'm doing a few tests just to check the cause of the crash you experience.

No problem. =)
I usually disable the horses from spawning by setting the "shouldexist" entries to false for all 7 horse types. That removes the spawn eggs too.
For instance the beige one would be:
Come to think of it, that was the only Project Zulu part I didn't care about back in 1.5.2. I'm a big fan of the mod overall, but if you have other mods installed (Thaumcraft, Ars Magicka, etc), the potion system pretty much becomes an waste of time and valuable inventory space. Unless it gets expanded into something more valuable than short term effects for already overpowered players, if it could be made optional with the config, I'd probably use the option to disable it myself.
Hope to see this in 1.8+ as well.
thank you

I don't think there's a way to disable the chest generation right now (right?), but you can use Too Much Loot to stop the shiny baubles and such from generating in the chests.
