This mod adds a single block, the Plant Growth Accelerator. It makes plants grow faster by sending random ticks to the plants above it. So if you stack several PGA's, one on top of the other, place a block of dirt, hoe it and place seeds on it, the wheat will grow at a significantly faster rate. This works for all vanilla plants (nether wart, potatoes, cactus, melons, etc...) but I'm not sure if it'll work with stuff like Natura's cotton seeds or Magical Crops' stuff.
Recipe
Now in version 1.0.4 there is a setting to make the recipe more difficult. The recipe shown above is the 'easy' recipe. The medium recipe requires Obsidian and Nether Quartz and gives 3 accelerators. The hard recipe requires End Stone and Emeralds and gives 2 accelerators.

I'm really starting to love your mods. Simple, yet effective. Although, I think the recipe should require something like iron and quartz, to be more balanced. Or, make it just give 1 and not 4.

I feel that because it doesnt work for modded foods yet, the recipe shouldnt change. Now maybe it should give less, but not 1 only. Maybe two. In fact, during my testing, four of these blocks under one crop didnt result in much of a change in growth speed as Untouched made it out to sound.

Thanks, but to be honest the mods are simple because I'm new to making mods for minecraft.

Yeah that's pretty easy to do. Alternately I could have a config file where you could change the difficulty level.

i noticed it has to look for dirt that has had a hoe over it is there any chance of maybe making this a config considering some crops are planted on non tilled dirt
Don't need to, the block properly handles cactus, sugar canes, melons, pumpkins and nether wart
i was more thinking of modded items i think if it just applied the growth ticks 2 blocks above the last accelerator that it would more or less then work with Any kind of plant reguardless more or less like the watering can from Extra Utils does

Yeah I guess that would work, although I do need to do type-checking since certain plants (melons and pumpkin stems) behave slightly different from the rest.

Hi! It would be cool if you could check out my youtube channel! https://www.youtube.com/user/machinespray
I accidentally typed "with" instead of "without" in the license section. Go for it. What's your youtube channel?

I love simple mods like this. Keep it up! Also, balancing should be done, the recipe should be a bit more expensive.
Also, this grows almost instantly.

Probably
I can confirm it works with the Oreganics mod.
